Good Evening and thank you for coming.

I am sure there are many questions as to what my ideas are and how I would implement them within Rhy Din.

Yes I have stated that I think those corporations who leave Rhy Dinians high and dry shouldn't be allowed to continue to harm those who live within the city. So the question is how does one support economic development and growth and still safeguard the lives and jobs of those who work for the corporations?

We have many corporations within the city. Some are homegrown, ideas that have come from those who have been born and grown up here. Some have been started from those who grew up elsewhere and then came here and thus saw needs from the standpoint of those who are not native.

My first instinct was to make it more difficult for offworld corporations who wish to start up businesses here to come in and start something, then leave without thinking of the people they leave behind. I believed that if the corporations were forced to prepay severance into an account then that would help.

I have to admit that instinct was wrong and in discussing things with business owners, economists, and people who live here I was given numerous other ideas. One of which was preapproval of businesses. The simple idea is that each business must come to the government and give a proposal and business plan, their plans for business, how many they will hire and what they will do for those employees if the business fails. Those who are given the official stamp of approval will then be allowed to set up shop .

Honestly I would also like to meet with other business owners in the Marketplace and perhaps set up a Business Administration run by the business in the city and that would have meetings so that help and ideas could be offered to new and struggling businesses by those who have succeeded and prospered. It would also give the government an idea of where there are issues in the economy and perhaps how to address them. This idea also ties into my other idea of a New Citizens Assistance Center.

Imagine my shock to learn that there is one already but almost no one knows about it until it's too late. I suggest something simple, advertising for it, a push to get staff for it, training for helping those who work there find and assist those who are need and need help.

As for finding them jobs, training, and places to live, by keeping involved in the community and businesses in and around the city that does give the Center a pipeline into funneling qualified individuals into jobs, assisting not only the New Citizens but the businesses as well.

I look forward to the election season and wish everyone luck in their campaign.

Thank you.
