The young boy that stood at her doorway was rumpled to say the least. Dirt streaked his face, and there seemed to be a gaggle of children loitering at the front of the building. At a glance one could tell they were street children. Did they have a home to go to at night' Did it matter to most of them' Children who took to the street usually had disturbing reasons. Just inside the gateway stood a large dog, his form and truncated snout gave him the look of a boxer, but his size was easily twice what that breed should be. Perhaps he had some mastiff mixed in. It seemed to be waiting, happily anticipating another round of play with the kids.

The boy in the doorway held forth a letter; he asked politely if with poor grammar if there would be a return message. The seal, a falcon carrying a flame spouting fire lizard, would need to be broken, the message to be read before that could be answered.

]The letterhead Kruger's Exotic Weapons Armor and Leather was visible as the letter was opened; the contents read as follows.

To: Lady Elessaria Elessaria Devabriel, Lady Fire of Evandar, Owner of Heart Notes Parfumerie Part-time bartend at the Red Dragon

From: Aristotle Kruger Allen, Owner of Kruger's Exotic Weapons Armor and Leather

Lady Eless,

My hope is that this letter finds you well. It is my distinct privilege to inform you that the order you place with me some time ago is finished. Please send word as to your availability for retrieval of said item. There are a few small details to go over. I regret that the charge for your order may be more than you originally anticipated; however I implore you to please have a look before you reject it. I assure you it is worth every copper.

It is within my ability to perform a bonding as well. This will further ensure the performance of the weapon in question. There is a separate price for the bonding, but it is not payable in silver. I had hoped to trade this, for a service I have heard you will be more than qualified for.

Please give your times of availability to my apprentice. If it would be of greater convenience, I could come to you. The bonding can be performed nearly anywhere.

Yours respectfully, Aristotle Kruger Allen

Elessaria

The empath's brow furrowed slightly at the ragtag appearance of the young messenger boy whom she politely bid to wait for a moment while she broke the unfamiliar seal. Curiosity and delight tugged the corners of her lips into a smile as she read the letter from the talented craftsman.

Before sitting down to write out a quick reply, she escorted the waif into the back with her and gave him a glass of milk along with a small plate of cheese, fruit and some cookies.

In her elegant, flowing script she replied:

"Dear Master Allen, Owner of Kruger's Exotic Weapons, Armor & Leather,

I am delighted to hear that my order for a bodice dagger hath been completed so swiftly and most certainly very skillfully. I look forward to seeing thy workmanship firsthand. This bonding of which thou hast written is very curious to me and I would appreciate it if thou couldest explain more of it whence we meet. I am intrigued and believe that anything that would aid the performance of a blade in my hands is something I should seriously consider.

I am certain whatever price thou hast deemed necessary is thus so. Thou art a friend of Sylvia's and therefore I trust thy judgement. I am nay certain of the location of thy new shop, so if thou couldest visit my shop, I would very much appreciate it.

With much gratitude,

~Elessaria Devabriel The Lady Fire of Evandar"

The elfess made certain to time the rolling of the parchment with the young boy's finishing of his meal - it was a good thing she wrote quickly - and tied it with sapphire and gold silk ribbons. She then set the messenger back on his way with a silver for his troubles.
