I have way too many pics to post them all...So, I'll load them up elsewhere and provide a link if anyone wants to see them...

Meanwhile!!! If you click on the picture, you can get a bigger image.....

This first is for Jewellsie!!!

AWESOME drinks.....The Original 22oz Mad Mex Margarita....read the match book!!! I had two..cause I was not driving.

I did have to play navigator, however. That might explain why we didn't get back to the hotel until 11 something...

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Mad4Mex.jpg

And then there was the tequila floater....for only 2 bucks more! A steal!!! http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/TheFloater.jpg

I am so using that idea at our next Mardi Gras party.....

And of course, for Stephen Kidd...starring at the Franklin Institute. How appropriate!"!" Right' I just started laughing out loud when I saw this....

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Pirates.jpg

And then there was this...Eve and Baker came to mind and that whole bathroom scene with the 'Balloons'

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/DodandBraleBrothers.jpg

The Italian market had the audacity to close up before we found it!!!

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/ItalianMarket.jpg

Eventually, last night...we ended up on South Street. I love this place!! Reminds me of 6th street in Austin and Bourbon Street in Nawlin's without the stench or the hookers....All right, there might have been hookers, but no one propositioned me!!

Anyway...these ladies were offering lessons on making Mojito's. They spotted me on the patio already indulging in one...and brought me up for free drinks! I love this place!!! Unfortunately, I have no idea what the name of the place is. It is across from Jim's Hoagies, though. On 4th and South Street.

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Pennslyvania128.jpg

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/MojitoGirls.jpg

That's Samantha, Felisha (I had to ask for the spelling!!) and Sonya! They let me keep the glass with the directions for making a perfect Mojito!

That's all I have for now. I think the next trip is Long Beach, CA in October. ::happy snoopy dancing!::

In the mean time....as Bill and Ted put it so eloquently....'Party on, Dude'

I didn't have much time for sightseeing on this trip. But I did make it down to Old Sac on our last night there...

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Sacramento002.jpg

I told you there was an Irish Pub in every City! Didn't make it in for a drink though....

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Sacramento005.jpg

Old Sac was full of history. So many museums. I couldn't get to them all. But these establishments were off the beaten path..

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Sacramento007.jpg

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Sacramento008.jpg

Sadly...I had to go to three different shops before I found out the story behind this spot. It used to be a business that went under. The columns were brought here from some historic hotel. There was a grave marker! Turns out...no one died...they just buried the dead business....Yeesh. Ghost hunting is hard business

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Sacramento010.jpg

A shot of old Town Sac.

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Sacramento011.jpg

Sacramento's version of the Golden Bridge (taken from the place where we had dinner (Rio City Cafe)

And......of course...at the hotel...there were kittens living behind the restaurant!! So naturally I found them and was there morning and evening to offer what I scored for the day from the concierge's lounge. They actually got closer after each visit...but never tried to touch them.

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Sacramento015.jpg

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Sacramento017.jpg

That's it for this trip. Catch you up on the next one! :-D

So Yesterday was all bout the Girls!

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/3-day%20walk%20for%20the%20cure/3day.jpg

The Breast Cancer 3-Day walks are no easy strolls in the park; participants are challenged to walk at least 20 miles a day for 3 days straight, camping out each night in a manmade tent city. In addition, each walker had to raise a minimum of $2200 in donations in order to participate. We raised $7.4 mil! Just".wow!!

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/3-day%20walk%20for%20the%20cure/3daytents.jpg

There were teams of walkers, each with their own slogans; "Boobie Patrol" "Save the Ta-ta's" "It's All About the Girls" "Keepin "em Perky' ?"FΩck Cancer?", "Save Second Base", "Boobylicious", "Kitties for Titties? (they wore cat ears- it was great!). There was a slew of men wearing pink bras, A whole Platoon of Marines!!!

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/3-day%20walk%20for%20the%20cure/3-day.jpg

I worked in the Victory Tent. All of the 3200 walkers had to passed through this Tent to get their T-shirt. I was so privileged to be the last person they interacted with (as far as the CREW) as I handed each walker a Pink Rose. I have never hugged and cried with so many strangers! It was simply awesome and I was so honored to be a part of it.

Thank you for volunteering your time to such a wonderful organization. Both my maternal grandmother and her mother died from breast cancer.

Despite the Doc's saying 'you can't walk 60 miles'- I plan on being a walker next year! So I shall walk for your grandmothers!

We are planning an ambitious Holiday outing this year!

Starts off with the Sunday seeing the Moscow Ballet- Great Russian Nutcracker (When they dance the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy- I will be having flash backs to TSO Christmas Lights show...this one)

By the way, this one is cool! Cambridge Court house

Next weekend we are going to the Gaylord Hotel to see the Ice show. It's a 14,000-square-foot "ICE!" exhibit. Couldn't find any pictures. I'll bring some back to share!

The week of the Dec. 28- we are off to the Museum for the King Tut Exhibit!!!

And then January 3- The Trans-Siberian Orchestra!! I always think of this when I hear TSO!

This one is pretty cool too

I know I will be exhausted come next year"and broke!! Send me my stimulus check!

But on a (not so) serious note?"Anyone watch THIS and say to your self".WTF?

But on a (not so) serious note?"Anyone watch THIS and say to your self".WTF"

I think somebody had a little bit too much spiked eggnog while decorating! +toast+

I also told my friend that she's going to get coal in her stocking since she confessed to beating her Christmas tree. (It's second hand and the previous owners went a little crazy with the fake snow. She ended up giving up on trying to shake it out neatly in bags/boxes and just started whomping on it, +shocked+ vacuuming afterward.)

Can't wait to see the pictures!!!

I was thinking more along the lines of...."And what Christmas Carol does this relate back to??"

Whacking a tree can be good therapy! :-D Better than whacking your neighbor for playing the former song on Christmas eve!

It was all about the Christmas tree?"

So there we were'deep in the jungle"er, erase that".Deep in Christmas decorations and a 5 year old artificial tree "falling apart. My little sister says"we need a new tree! I agreed! We hauled the old one out to the curb (where it will be confiscated before dawn) Jumped in the CAR and headed to the nearest nursery. Turns out the nearest nursery where I had a 20 dollar discount was 15 miles away. We went!

20 bucks is 20 bucks!!!

Back on the farm"(Or Hooter's, as my brother likes to call it!! Really! He was at Hooter's! The pig) I have been reassured that I have nothing to be worried about! I will be met to transfer said new tree home with his spiffy truck to do all the necessary hauling"

????????"!!!

Oh, but as Murphy says (Damn him anyway) what could, can and possibly might go wrong, will hail down on Leslie in shades!!

So there we are! In the jungle".prowling though the plethora of flocked trees.

Me: "They want HOW much?"

Sister: "That isn't even real! They want 700 American dollars for that one"

Me: "Don't touch it! If a light goes out we may have to buy it!"

We quickly progressed from the dead things to the half living.

"Don't you have living trees?" I asked foolishly as a smiling gent came our way"..

"No Ma"am, we only have the finest Douglas this side of anywhere! What's your fancy?"

My guard Immediately went up.

As we had been there for 45 minutes now, and the &*&%^%#@# brother was NO where to be seen (And the ()&&%^$ didn't answer the cell calls either)"I ventured out there"

"Do you deliver?"

"Why sure little lady. You pick the tree"we can get it there next Tuesday."

And of course, I was dismayed?"Tuesday!" It's Wednesday' In case he forgot"

And then"it all went down hill from there".

"We can tie that tree on to your car! Real tight. Not a problem!"

"I have a Grand Am!" Alarmed

"Not a problem!" Smug smile.

So"that is when I went from the demure 6 foot tree"..to the"9 foot tree.

I think in my excitement of buying a tree, I forgot I did NOT have Cathedral ceilings?"..

Anyway"yes"they tied this sucker to my car! We even stopped to eat. Had the car valet parked"to protect said tree!

Anyway"we had to do a little trimming. And forget the damn star at the top! No way that was happening this year!

I did get my 20 dollars off though.

http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb143/PiperTippet/Christmas2008002.jpg MERRY CHRISTMAS!
