Some of you may have noticed some changes in my folder. I'm trying to edit and clean up some story lines that have been derailed, before I continue forward with Eless....on whatever path may appeal to her (and me).

Today in History?"" In the Roman Empire, today was the Festival in honor of Carna.

Carna refers to two distinct women from Roman mythology.

One Carna was a nymph who lived where Rome would eventually be. Janus fell in love with her and gave her power over door hinges and handles.

The other Carna was a Roman goddess who presided over the heart and other organs. Her festival took place on June 1.

Incidentally, it is also the National Day Against Homophobia in Canada.

So go out and hug a nymph and/or a gay person. And don't forget to polish up those hinges and door handles!

(I'd say polish your knob, But Baker and Robert would be all over that like white on rice. Heh!)

Grin: Started my first day at work today and it seems like it'll be a nice place.

Gripe: Blew out a tire on the Interstate on the way home from work.

Gripe: Called AAA to fix the tire and the darn spare is rusted in so tightly, they can't get it out or use it. Car is a piece of junk "won" in the divorce.

Gripe: Have to get towed somewhere to get new tire....went to three places that finally had a tire to fit my car, but used. Don't care - just put it on the dang car, 'cause jerkweed is giving me a hard time about going to pick up Mini-me at latchkey. Hello.....I'm worth more alive than dead, idiot.

Grin: AAA dude had pity on my pathetic birthday and didn't charge me all the mileage for towing.

Grin: Lots of loving birthday phone calls from friends and family. They may all live far away, but I am very blessed.

Grin: My daughter making me a bead (not the ones from her ear, thank you very much) necklace for my birthday present. But then she cried because she wanted to get me "real" jewelry.

Grin: Mini-Me getting straight 'A's on her report card (except for one B - in handwriting).

Grin: Mini-Me ranking consistently in the TOP 5 in her class at "First in Math".

So.....what?s a blown out tire....oh and a demolished VCR, lamp, etc. that fell.

Definitely more Grins than Gripes!

I apologize for falling behind in my posts in ~Heart Notes~. I owe several of you "signature scents" for your characters; however, I've misplaced my notebook where I keep all of my notes. For those of you who don't know, I do the actual research and create a unique fragrance for your character based on how I perceive him/her.

As soon as I locate my book, I'll be back to posting the gifts. Hopefully, it'll be in time to "open" Heart Notes for the Valentine season!

I'm sorry if I caused any concern by my lack of appearance online yesterday/last night after all the offline craziness. We had some bad windstorms come through and lost power & cable until only a couple of hours ago. With no phone, I was unable to get word to anyone to let them know I was okay.

Just to let all of you know, that despite the name change, this folder will continue to be home for Heart Notes Parfumerie as well as the various SL's for the MMMM Clan members and friends. Eless' journal, closet, etc. can be found in the folder "From Eveningstar to Evandar".

I apologize for not being around much especially to RP. The scrolling of the screen sometimes exacerbates my migraines to the point where it makes me so sick that I'll need to just "poof?. I'm sorry to have do that at times and I usually try to IM at least one person with whom I've been RPing to let them know what?s going on.

Hopefully things have settled down so I can at least get back to writing, then RPing again soon after. Unfortunately it's going to be awhile until I can afford to get new contacts/glasses.

It was fun knocking of the RP rust even if my internet connection wasn't very cooperative until late.

Thank you to everyone who popped in to welcome back Eless and to all of you who IMed me to say hi. I've missed you all!!! The next installment in the Equinox SL is proving to be a challenge for me. It's especially difficult for me to be so cruel to my dear character, and when RL is intense at the same time, it's even harder. I will, however, succeed! Hopefully I will have good news to share soon.

I missed RP and decided to put Eless into play now instead of waiting to finish the SL as I had originally intended.

So....Eless survived her torture and captivity; spent an extensive time recuperating in the safety of her home with Luke and Bandito watching over her. She'll be a bit anxious and easily spooked as she adjusts. Time flows differently in Evandar and the wacky changes that are part of the Sublimation SL only serve to exacerbate her confusion. She really cannot hazard a guess as to how long she was actually away.

Folks can assume that Eless and Luke did indeed attend this year's Governor's Yule Ball even though my connection was more contentious than usual.:( They probably would not have been there the entire time as Eless is still having trouble with attending events with large groups and/or high emotions. I'll probably be posting in her journal about it and then continuing (and finishing, I hope) the Vernal Equinox thread now that it's Christmas Break.

I'm also hoping to be able to share some really positive personal news at the beginning of the New Year as well. 2014 is going to be a GREAT year!( And mark twenty years of my playing and writing for Eless. +shocked+ )

It is with great joy that I am pleased to be able to share this news with my DM Family. I debated posting this in public, but there are too many of you to message privately. Besides, creepers will be creepers anyhow. ;)

After 8 years of strife, stress and court battles, I was recently awarded full custody of Minime and granted permission to move. We will be moving back to family and friend soon. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support through all of this. You made me laugh, listened to me cry, gave advice and more. With all of the love and support from friends and family, I knew we would succeed! How could we not?

So, thank you! Once we're settled you'll be seeing Eless around more!

I wanted to take a moment to express my thanks for everyone who is participating in Eless' current SL. Whether you have been on the fringes or incorporated it with your own, I genuinely appreciate the addition of your talent! Live play has thrown some interesting twists which I'm thoroughly enjoying! Admittedly this SL has been difficult for me to write and to play as it as always been extremely difficult to cause my character pain; however, it's a personal challenge for me so that Eless can develop as a character. It's also a challenge for me to step up my writing and play, because I am surrounded by such talented and gifted players!

Please forgive the stilted nature of the first dream sequence posted. It was a different style for me mixing both the first and third person in a single post like that. Please excuse all of the French I've been posting. Minime has begun studying French and as I believe immersion is one of the best ways to learn another language (the former ESL Teacher in me), so I try to converse with her in French as much as possible. Music is a fantastic way to expose her to the language and to reinforce certain grammar concepts or phrases that may be repeated in certain songs. Unfortunately, I'm not as fluent as I used to be and falter when transitioning between both languages (hence some of my stilted writing). You should hear us at the dinner table: Minime and I speaking French, Grammy trying French, but reverting to Italian, Grampa tossing out a little German (and a whole lot of gibberish) and I have to interpret for everyone!

Connar's departure hit me a little bit harder than I expected and I've been struggling with how to express all Eless is feeling. I also wanted his posts to be "front and center" for awhile out of respect for such a talented player.

A few posts to start to get past the little bumps...

And of course, The Empath will have more adventures.

Of course you can! Far be it from me to tell anyone how they can or can't feel. I'm just not entirely certain how plausible a mutual comforting scene would be. Shea moved on (understandsbly so), married and had children whereas Eless never did. Eless has changed quite a bit too. That doesn't mean Eless and Shea's friendship is over

His player will be missed in many ways. Their deep, abiding and unconditional love has been part of why Eless never married nor completely moved on in spite of getting close to it. Nearly a decade of being play partners formed close bonds. Ones I believe stronger than the numerous short term partnerships which fizzle after a few short months which seem to be prevalent on DM.

I.hold zero grudges against his player and it was a mutual decision to wait to see what may happen. It is none of my business (nor anyone else's) to know anymore details than what Connar shared in his public post.

Sooo....I'm getting so far behind in my writing for Eless that it's actually overwhelming me and making me feel like she's "stuck" in both live play and writing. After chatting with a friend, I decided I'm going to try and touch on the various events and emotions via Eless' journal. In the future if I feel like revisiting them and writing more detail, I certainly can. There are just a lot more current SLs going on that I've felt I couldn't participate in because of being so far behind: it simply didn't ring true for me for Eless.

Hopefully this will work!

Also, I've a favor to ask. It's been so long, I've forgotten how to format a link where you can name it whatever you want instead of the actual url showing up.
