Sleep, what little sleep would come still wasn't quite enough for the dragoness, but she had work to do.

Quietly leaving the lair, with a silver guard in tow, solomn faced the silver was, he knew.

He knew why she was going out again, why they were going out, the morbid search.

The search for her son's body, closure, perhaps, or a bit more, her mind still reeling with grief.

It was possible.., if she could find him, there was a slim chance her family could revive him, though he'd most likely be reborn as a hatchling, still..

It was better than being dead. Wingpouch still tucked against her side, she found only a few golden scales that had once been his, Zyloh's.., her son..

It was hard, and she suffered through it, distancing herself from others.

Fine at first, happy, then the thoughts, the memories, the reminders.

A mother's love was strong.

Even if they couldn't revive him, closure.

A body to find.

Still..she searched.

Making good on her promise, Ahni steps quietly from her home and silently shuts the door. Her sword is strapped to her belt, her bow and quiver across her back. She might not be targeted by whoever had slain poor Icer's son, but it never hurt to be prepared.

She had bought a large pouch just for this occasion, in case she happens to find...anything. This whole business makes her stomach churn. Who could be so cold, so merciless, so cruel? At least she had her distraction, something to keep her from leaving as soon as she could write her directions down, get her ducks in a row, so to speak. No sense rushing into things. Rushing, forgetting would get her killed. And she had a promise to keep.

She begins her search east of the cave she shared with Ven. Hopefully Icer hadn't looked here already.

She brushes a stray tear from her eye before it has the chance to slide down her cheek. I could never be as strong as Icer...
