Dear diary. I had to tell Storm that she must give up guard duty. At least until she lays.

The black was not thrilled to hear this. Nor at all thrilled that she is to stay at the lair. I told her it is for her own good, and that of her children to be.

She has taken to motherhood well though. I have seen how she dotes upon the foundling. Her son Solandrien. One day, he will have nest mates, but until then, his mother must take it easy.

Currently I am working on a project. The little piglet skeleton from dinner nights past. It has cleaned up well, and now I am setting the bones for a display. The children do like to learn, and sometimes it is better to learn by seeing.

It will be housed under glass in the library.

Dear diary. Storm has been resting as I have requested. She is just starting to show. The foundling has taken well to his new mother. It is rare that I check up on the mother, without seeing the son curled against her.

She is taking to motherly duties well.

Dear diary. The little ones have all visited the library. They all have shown interest in studying the little piglet skeleton. Aurthur even found books to help them learn.

Stormy has walked only between her chambers, the library, and the soaking pools. Very rarely is she seen without singing a lullaby to Solandrian. He is very good for her.

Her belly has grown a bit bigger. I used just a hint of magic to make sure the babies within are healthy. They are growing slowly, but are very healthy. We do not yet know if they are male or female. It will be a while yet before we know.
