After being wounded severely by mysterious red dragon while guarding Icer's sanctuary she was left at the inn by Icer's son, Alcaeus. She remembered very little after this. But thanks to Icer's mother, Icer, and Elandar, she was all patched up and left to heal in her room in the lair. That..is where the trouble begins. Hearing Moon say that she had to stay in bed for 3 days, Ric about lost it. Staying in bed..for 3 days"! She had guard work to do!

Waking up after Moon's drink had basically knocked her out she found that she had a roommate. Elandar was sitting there wide awake and staring at her. Good..grief. Did he fall asleep with his eyes open" Eyes shifted and closed tightly, pain humming through her body wildly. But ..she was alive. And her wounds dressed. Urg. Dressed. Her dress was ruined thanks to that stupid dragon! Frown curling her lips she sank down under the blanket, attempting to relax but really...for how long could she just lay there?

Slipping down the corridors of their lair, she carefully nudged Ric's door open, slipping inside to check on her friend.

The little white tiger cub hot on her heals, slid through the door before she carefully closed it, and they nodded to Elandar as they passed.

Hello Ric, how are you feeling this morning?, head canting, then a slight chuckle as the cub tried climbing up the bed, a helpful nudge lifted the white tiger, who settled then beside Ric on the bed.

~ He appears to shiver slightly as his mind is drawn out of a light Reverie, alerted by the motion and sound within the room as he had done each time Ric shifted in her sleep during his silent vigil. He lifts his head and watches her for a moment with his head tilted to the side, trying to discern if she were really awake. He turns his head to one side as Icer and the white tiger cub enter and nods a greeting to the dragon before turning his attention back to Ricquire to see if she resonded to the dragon's inquiry ~

Hand lifting she pets the cub affectionately, a frown pulling at her lips. "I hurt. But alive. Must I really stay in bed for 3 days Icer? Nae to be rude but thy lair doesn't exactly have windows."

Her head tilted and she smiled to Icer then looked over to Elandar who..still seemed to be keeping a eye on her. A shy smile was sent his way as she settled with her feline companion.

You heard my mother Ric, you need to rest. Mother is taking over guard duty until you are well again, as we gave Tiamatus off to be with his mate.

Settling nearby, another nod to Elandar, then she seemed to ponder something for a moment, though.., I suppose we could help you outside for a little bit at a time, I know what it's like to be couped up here in the lair.

~ He frowns at Icer's suggestion that Ric be allowed outside for a time, even with an escort to help her along and to watch over her. The wounds he had glimpsed briefly on Ric's body had seemed to be almost fatal at first glance. He worried that, though Moon's medicine seemed to have done wonders to help Ric heal, she would risk the wounds re-opening if she tried to move overmuch so soon after the healing had begun. He also worried that the red dragon may return and Ric's sense of honour would fling her into the battle that would ensue, heedless of the fact that she had barely survived one battle with the crimson drake and was in no fit state to fight another. He does however find a shy smile for Ric, as she in turn had smiles shyly at him, pleased that his truest friend in Rhy'Din seemed to be on the path of recovery ~

And it was that frown that set things into motion. After Icer left and Ric had apparently settled down into sleep, she 'replaced' herself with pillows and phase-stepped out of the room. It hurt like hell but she was able to do it, to her knowledge, without being caught. Sneaking out to the glen she spent most of a few hours sitting on boulder in front of the lair, feet dipped in the water even if it was frigid.

That was until some idiot brought trouble with him to the glen. Strange monsters seemed almost summoned by this nut so he could show off for a girl, killing an impossible amount which made her simply think they were illusions to get himself brownie points with the girl. So..she snuck off to the market place for some peace. Once there, taking longer then normal, she sank down into the quieter coiner of the market and into some blankets. It wasn't long till Icer found her and informed her that she should be in bed and after a bit it was found out that a certain drow found out she had snuck out. He had been shadowing her the whole time. She found it sweet, if not totally endearing of him.

After the suggestion that they return to the lair, Icer gave voice that she would carry them. Though at first Elandar refused, Ric persuade him by saying she needed him for support so she didn't fall off the dragoness' back. Once Icer took off Elandar about had himself a fit! Like a child learning to ride horseback. He was ecstatic! And it was a thought that had Ric painfully leaning forward to whisper a request to Icer.

She was dropped off in the lair, in her bed while Icer accepted the request. There was a lil trickery to keep Elandar on Icer to start but once she hit that bed, Icer took off with Elandar. She watched them leave and soon curled up with Guardian who was already fast asleep. Soon, she too was off in la-la land while Elandar was having the time of his life.

On their return she woke due to guardian's mental nudge and she could tell easily that Elandar indeed, had quite the fun! But not he was hell bent on getting Ric to take her medicine. After watching poor Icer struggle her way to bed, Ric found that Elandar had already prepared her medicine. She don't know why, but she found herself asking aloud to him what he would give her if she took the nasty stuff. She noted the shy look. And she about was stupefied by his answer. 'A kiss' Oh dear, oh my. Her heart thudded loudly as she accepted that offer. And such a sweet kiss he offered, a tender touch she truly was not expecting.

As he drew away the medicine was offered. Bleh. To ruin such sweet kiss with medicine. But a deal was a deal..So down it went. And soon..to sleep she went..

And she slept nearly all the day away..a easy one to guard over this one was.

~ Elandar did indeed find the experience of riding a-dragonback to be one of the most exilerating that he had experienced to date, though he was young for a drow, only forty or so winters old. He experienced a wild joy he had never expected and was honoured that Icer would accept him as a rider, for dragons were notoriously picky about such things. He felt in high spirits after Icer had carried him aloft on her back, soaring high above the Southern Glen and weaving in and out of the trees in a series of aerial stunts that is rumoured to have left many mouths below agape. The flight culminated in a verticle chase where Elandar leaped from Icer's back whilst they were still above the clouds and skydived earthwards, wreathed in silver flame and trailing blue-white mist. Though Elandar eluded Icer almost to the ground, the cunning dragon power-dived earthwards in Elandar's blind spot and, weaving through the trees, managed to catch him before he could arrest his fall fully with his racial ability to levitate and successfully set foot to ground once more.

It was perhaps the adrenaline and exileration of this wild dragonback ride that caused Elandar's common sense to be overidden by his heart and he found himself proposing a trade to the wounded Ricquire that if she would take her medicine, he would grant her a kiss. He was somewhat shocked when Ricquire, whose beauty and soul he admired in secret for some time, actually accepted that kiss.

The following day gave the drow another surprise, for he had expected the medicine that Ricquire had taken to rob her of the memories immediately surrounding the taking of said medicine, as it had seemed to do the first night that Moon had given it to Ricquire. If he had been shocked when Ric had agreed to accept his kiss the night before, he was doubly shocked to discover that Ricquire not only remembered the first kiss, but seemed inclined to accept more.

When he first saw Ricquire smile that soft, tender smile that was only for him, he felt his heart flutter and his soul get carried aloft on the winds, as he has each and every time he has seen the smile since.

Though he and Ricquire had agreed to keep their kisses secret, he wonders how long it will be before Ric confides in Icer, or more likely, Icer sets a dragonet to spying upon the pair and he will have an entire lair full of dragons shooting him mischievous, knowing smiles wherever he walks. ~

~ Since their flight together, Icer and Elandar have been seen whispering together several times in the vast network of tunnels that comprise the lair of Icer and her mate. It seems Elandar has been trying to persuade Icer of something, those who drifted close enough to eavesdrop may have caught the words "Rhy'Din aerobatics stunt team" amongst the whispers ~

Finally able to get around on her own she decided to attempt to strength her body by practicing her sword. Thrusts where made that marred the wall but it took so much out of her body to just simply thrust her beloved gemini. It was somewhat amusing that Elandar had heard the metal against stone and came running to her 'rescue'. Literally busting in her door, he had his swords brandished and ready to destroy her 'attacker'. After finding it was her practicing, he slowly eased his swords away.

They began to speak on things. Many of them..between them. They decided to move her bed to his room and she would bunk with him until her door was fixed. Though the problem stood..how was the bed going to be moved. She still couldn't do too much due to her wounds and..they couldn't ask anyone else for help cause it might ruin their 'secret'. Blast that secret..

An oppsy as Elandar attempted a spell to move the bed, a pillow thrown at him for holding his hand up to her. She had proposed she sleep on the floor instead but noooo ...he was too stubborn to let her do that. She didn't want him to use magic so ..not needed...He was forced from his standing spot and into the wall from a magical backlash. Scolding herself she moved to him to make sure he was okay. She found a trace of blood on his head from where he had made contact with the wall. Guilty feeling. She attempted to help him to his room and before she knew it she found herself on the bed with him. Collapsing into sleep he ended up dragging her down with him. It wasn't exactly a bad thing..a lil cuddling didn't hurt anyone right' She watched him sleep, worried that he might have a concussion. His words when he fell asleep..such words she had spoke to him during their earlier chit chat..returned.

She eventually found sleep, Elandar's arms wrapped about her as if to keep her there. Or to make sure that his 'dream' didn't escape while his eyes where closed.

When she woke though..she was alone. He must of been out doing things for his 'teacher'. What a load of crock. Slowly bringing herself out of bed she looked about the room. His room. Well..'their' room while she bunked with him. She found herself thinking..was last night going to change everything between them' Was sleeping aside him, even if by accident, going to change them?

If so..hopefully in a good way..for just thinking of him caused a rare smile to pull her pale lips. A smile designed and designated for him..and only him.

~ He wears a slight scowling frown as he makes his way up the path from town that leads to the Glen. The frown is caused by him mulling over the insights into the nature of teleportation that his teacher Kairee has afforded him. The scowl is due to the amorous advances he was fairly sure Kairee had been making in his direction. He winces slightly as he wonders how Kairee might react to him continually deflecting her advances and he dithers over telling her that his heart already belongs to another even though he fears it will draw his lessons to a close and strand him in Rhy'Din.

The thought of that other banishes all his dark thoughts and his frowning scowl vanishes in an instant, replaced by a soft smile of happiness as he wanders up the paths of the Glen. He turns up the trail that leads to Icer's lair and with a long glance around to check he is not being observed or followed he slips behind the waterfall and heads into the lair.

Alerted by the scent that proceeds him, Guardian comes running up and pounces at his legs. He spends several long moments scratching the white tiger cub behind the ears before asking the creature to find Ricquire for him. He is forced to spend another long monent visiting more scratches behind the ears and to repeat his request before the cat concedes and bounds off towards where the soul-joined animal senses Ric to be.

To Elandar's surprise, Guardian does not head deeper into the lair. The cat instead bounds off out of the lair and into the forest, with Elandar following in a smooth, gliding run. As he runs, Elandar loosens his swords in their scabbards, aware that the forest holds as many dangers as it does wonders.

Eventually the sound of water and Ric's humming is detected by his sensitive elven ears, alerting him to her nearness, and Guardian vanishes back into the forest. He begins singing a wordless melody in counterpoint to her humming, announcing his presence to her as the scent of steam reaches him and he arrives to find Ric bathing in a hot spring ~
