Moving through the tunnels that became more and more familiar day by day. Her son in law had told her they could stay.

Day by day she started thinking maybe it was best if they all stayed in the same lair.

Though there may have been a wistful look. She tended to her Grandchildren but had very few of her own.

She loved her daughters greatly, but she had missed watching them grow up. Though she may have a chance with Icer.

Pausing beside the indoor pond, the white looked into the water, then blinked as something caught her eye nestled amongst the leaves of a flowering plant.

An egg....had someone lost track of one?

She couldn't just leave it by itself..

Picking the egg up gently in her jaws, just as she had done for her own so very long ago. She slid into one of the nesting chambers, settling her precious cargo amongst the mat of grasses and vegetation.

Soon she curled her form around the egg, watching over it motherly, perhaps it was a gift sent in answer to her prayers.

The white dragon would not leave the egg again, this one was hers.

His mate had not stopped by to visit him while he was on guard duty. While not worried so much about Snowstorm's missing visit, he did think it odd.

Most likely she had just lost track of time while spending time with her extensive family.

The blue waited a little longer until another of the guards took over his post. Then he slid inside the lair, peeking into a few of the rooms.

Most of his Grandchildren were sleeping, and a smile formed upon that dark blue muzzle of his.

So much family..

Following the scent of his own mate, a brow arched as the scent trail had died off into a nesting chamber.

"Dearest", what are you doing?"

Tending the foundling egg, she would gently nudge the mottled shell, rolling it over.

Looking up as she heard her mate's voice, she gave a soft smile, the wistful look was now gone from her eyes.

"Hello dearest, come say hello to your child to be."

She smiled as her mate gave her a surprised look, and she nudged the egg gently again, giving it equal time upon each side.

It would help the forming hatchling within.

"I found it love" she spoke now almost in a whisper as if trying not to wake a newborn.

"I stopped by the indoor pond to take a short rest, and it was nestled amongst the leaves of a flower, I couldn't just leave it."

Shortly after the egg was nudged over by Snow storm, it rocked slightly on it's own. Seems the little one inside was shifting"After a moment or two, the rocking stopped, only to be followed by more rocking, and was that a muffled Squeak" More than likely.

A gentle smile was turned to her mate as the egg started shaking. The squeak within was met with a soft rumble.

Icewing got a nuzzle as he had settled beside her to watch over the egg. "Soon it seems dearest." She nudged the egg to roll it again onto it's other side.

She had done the same with the eggs in her own nest so very long ago.

The egg was silent for a time after it was turned, probably because the tiny one within was surprised by being rotated. After a while, there was another chirp given, and more rocking of the egg. Maybe someone was rather impatient to get out of her egg~

There was a motherly smile as she watched the egg start rocking more then it had before.

Snout lowering close by,she started crooning to the egg, encouraging the little one to start breaking shell.

There was a squeak in response to the croon, before the egg rocked once again. Then after a moment or two, there was a light cracking sound, and a tiny crack appeared, and semed to spread slowly the more the little one inside pushed.

Watching as a crack ran along the length of the egg, she curled closer. Snout lowering closer so she could help the little one break her shell if the need arised.

She would be there this time, for the little one, and for her kin. She knew she would have to catch up with her daughter and her mate.

Maybe she could even find a lair close by, though she had been given word from Aurthur that she could have a room there.

It didn't feel quite right to live in her daughter's lair, though she would remain close by.

They all had many years to make up for.

There was a pause, in the rocking of the egg, before a soft muffled chirp was given. Then the egg began to rock again, the crack continuing to form, untill a tiny white head was poking out, bright Iceblue hues blinking slowly, curiously, as she took Snowstorm in. Another chirp was given, before there was more wiggling, now in attempt to get herself out of the egg.
