Confined to bed, the little dragon was not very happy. Though her mate remained nearby. He was watching over her. Making sure she was as comfortable as she could be.

All around lay scattered puzzles and books, and even the magic picture box. Anything to keep her occupied and not thinking of getting up.

Two days...Two full days at the least. Until she could fly again. The fall had hurt the bone in her right wing, spraining it. And if she tried to fly, it might snap.

Aurthur would not let that happen. And she was stuck in bed.

Easing onto her side, she curled up beneath the light blanket. Ice blue eyes on her beloved mate.

He had stayed by her side the entire time, and now was dozing peacefully.

A smile as she watched his chest rise and fall. He'd been so very worried about her. Soon she too closed her eyes and drifted into peaceful slumber.

*Waking only a short time later, Aurthur leaned his head to check on his mate once more, before scooting closer and curling around his beloved, draping his wing gently over her. Watching her fall from the hatch had been one of the scariest moments in his life, especially when she did not immediately regain consciousness.

Through the incident, he came to a realization. While it was scary watching what had happened to his mate, how much scarier would it be for her, had she seen nothing but an explosion coming from his Alchemy lab, and not knowing right away what had happened to him?

His mind was racing with what to do, even though he already had a good idea. Get rid of the Alchemy books, Temeraire could use them, or perhaps even donate them to the school......He would discuss it with his mate at a later time, but for the moment, only entwined his tail with hers and drifted back off into slumber.*

Feeling his tail entwining with her's, she gave a smile. Horned head lifting and ice blue eyes opening. Just for a moment. She still needed her rest, but she eased her head closer to her beloved. Stealing a soft kiss.

He didn't have to, but he had carried her home that night, and watched over her all day.

One more day of rest...And she should be good as new.
