Momma had found her, and the little red wanderer had been carried back to the Stratford lair, her mother having coiled up around the curious hatchling.

No fun!, she wanted to explore!, waiting till she had gotten her bath, of course there had been much squirming and wriggling there.

She waited, pretending to nap, until momma herself had fallen asleep as well. Quiet, quiet, not making a peep, the little red slid from her mother's protective coils.

Daddy seemed to be slumbering too, hop, hop, hop, she was playing with a few nearby rocks, batting them around, before darting off to sniff a flower curiously, so much to see, to do, to explore!

::One always kept an eye on hatchlings, and with good reason. Matheau was no exception. He had learned to 'sleep' with one eye open, and he watched as his daughter snuck out of the cave. He didn't get too close, he let her wander and explore, but he certainly wouldn't let anything happen to her either. At the first sign of trouble, Daddy would most certainly step in, and a new father, especially a new dragon father, should not be messed with, especially when it came to his young.::

Forest green eyes blinked as she peeked back toward where daddy lay. Was he sleeping" It mattered not to her, another sniff of the flower, before bounding after a flutterby, or butterfly, she wasn't sure what it was.., but it was pretty!

Hop, hop, hop, she bounded after the fluttering insect without seemingly a care in the world, now and then a small flash of gold from beneath her wings as they fluttered as well.

Where'd she go", toward a field of flowers of course, thats where the insect headed, and so, she did too, a sea of multicolors swaying in the breeze, pinks, purples, blue, yellows, reds, and oranges, even multihued flowers, each soon got a curious sniff, as she slowed down, the insect.., had landed.

::Well, so much for sleep. But being the father of a hatchling, there was no time for sleep. He got up and stretched, following his daughter all the way to the field. He should have been grumpy from lack of sleep, but it really was a nice day.

So, he hunkered down in the grass, watching his daughter play. Should she look directly at him, she would see nothing more than a giant rock.::

Squirming and wiggling her haunches, POUNCE!, but the bug was too quick! The butterfly floated onwards as the little red watched, before burrying her snout in another flower, sniff, sniff, sneeze!

A shake of her head and she turned, forest green eyes blinking, wait.., was that rock there before?, slink, sliiinking that way, she sniffed curiously, before distracted again, this time by a fluffy seed floating on the breeze.

Momma woke with a start. She had lost the hatchling and to loose it again. Well that wasn't good. She slid out of the lair following her daughter's scent as she scanned the hurizon. When she spotted her daughter in a medow she snuck and soon was sitting upon a rock, erm, her mate. But she had no idea it was her mate.

Her eyes were carefully watching their daughter for any bit of trouble. Even though she too was loosing sleep, her child came first and so did her mate.

::It took all of his willpower to not roar when his mate laid on him, but instead, he hissed up at her in a whisper.::

"Will you get off of me, love?! Here I am trying to find our daughter, and you lay on me! I guess my spell worked too well......Please, get down, and we can watch her together."

Bounding playfully after the seed in wild abandon, the hatchling seemed to show little, to no fear of her surroundings. Glancing back to the "rock" after losing the seed to the wind, little green eyes blink, blinked, there was momma.

Creeping closer, she would try a sneaky route, into the tall grass to circle around her mother, eying of course her mother's tail.

Ada nearly jumped at her mate's hiss. She was just about to climb off of him before she spotted her tail being stalked," Hold on just a moment. My tail is being hunted." She whispered to her mate before wriggling her tail.

She started to move it around like a small worm for her daughter to pounce.

Through the tall grass, closer, and closer to her mother's now wiggling tail. A pause, catching sight of a swaying flower in the breeze, before what was she doing?, so distracted the little one could be!

Glancing back to the squirming tail, ah yes, closer, closer, and pouncing, a playful little squeak as she started gnawing.

Was that a bit of movement in the grass not far off" Something of a pale green color, among the darker green of the grass" Something that was slowly moving toward them, barring the distratcions here or that that sent it off in other directions?

It was Dimitri, whom had awoken to find mom and dad gone and had been up for a bit crying for his parents. After awhile, he'd ended up moving out of the lair, following a scent....Strange how one so young and small would be able to do that, no' As his head lifted a moment to look around, a blue glint could be seen. His eyes, blue instead of the normal green, and a little hatchling-call was given out for mommy when he saw her before..

Dash, run, and POUNCE to momma's tail...Wait, someone beat him to it! He blinked to his bigger sister, before trying to take the tail from her, eyes green once more and growling playfully just as she was.

Green eyes blinked down at little brother as he suddenly appeared, and a little growl as he tried stealing momma's tail from her!

Red wings fluttering, she gave a tug back, along with another little growl, a warning perhaps to her smaller sibling to let go.

She had momma's tail first!

Momma had momma's tail first! She was still on her mate and closing her eyes to slits. Must-not-snap-at-children! The tug-o-war on her tail was driving her a bit nutty....Well it was driving her a bit up the wall because....It hurt. She wasn't going to lie, her tail was being abused.

Never the less she lay there, giving a small whisper down to her mate," Oowww..."

Ears perked, and green eyes blinked up at momma, her mother's tail still clasped between her jaws. She then gave another playful tug!, still trying to get brother to release "her" toy.

She did see it first. Wait, what was that!, another little shiny object caught her eye, but it was just out of reach!

Maybe.., if she could just reach.., she couldn't let go of momma's tail, that would mean little brother would win, and she was older, well, by a few minutes, but still..

Jaws still clasped desperately on momma, as she stretched out a paw, reaching for the shiny, just falling short.

She was too small! A little snorted huff, and she tried again, maybe her tail could reach, stretching, stretching, and.., she got it!

The shiny, a little crystal flecked rock, still, it was hers.
