Wait, was that a crack? There was some kind of noise coming from one of the eggs that Icer was so carefully guarding. There it was again! that noise. Pretty soon the noises were coming closer together and a crack could be seen forming on one of the eggs, So it was hatching right' Soon a small piece of the egg fell from the whole, and out popped a Small head.

Starlight peeked around then dipped her head back into the egg, It was bright out there, and things were different. She felt safe and warm inside her egg and didnt want to come out, yet at the same she was curious about the outside world. There, she poked her head out and looked to A large blue dragon, and squawked softly.

Ears perked as she heard the crack, and the dragoness lowered her snout to the egg as it shook, and she watched expectantly, coiled up around the rest of her clutch.

This would be the second to hatch, attention focused on the hatchling that now peeked out and she gave a soft thrumming sound. A sound that would tell her daughter she was safe, and that momma was near.

Soon she gently started to lick clean the head as it peeked out, still giving the soft thrum to her daughter, she was proud, and knew her mate would be as well.

There was another squawk, as her mama licked her head. She ducked back in then tried to make the egg crack more, so she could get out fully. That thrumming noise had soothed her, and she wanted to get out to be by her mama's side. There was another crack then another, and soon another piece of shell fell.

There, that little head had popped back out, only this time it was accompanied by her front feet. a small push to the eggshell and FINALLY! The hatchling was free. There was another squawk as she ran and cuddled up to her mama.

Starlight wasnt out very long, before some slightly bigger, something that was black, suddenly tackled her with a little squeaky roar of sorts. It was her brother Midnight who looked his sister over curiously with green eyes. From that tackle, he'd ended up on top of her, and seemed to be trying to figure out just where she had come from.

There was a meep from her then a blink....Why did he do that' Another blink, then she looked at his tail and pounced it unsteadily, and sunk her teeth into it, as best as she could. She would teach him not to tackle the new girl...

There was a Squawk before she let go and tried to tackle him as best as she could. It didnt do much, she had only just hatched minutes ago...

::His chest was puffed out proudly, and he couldn't help but chuckle as he watched his newly hatched children wrestling about in the nest.:: Look at how energetic, they are love. Newly hatched and playing already! ::He nuzzled his mate affectionately and settled down to watch over their new children with his beloved mate.::

Another egg, one of three left unhatched started to shake. Little cries from within might have been heard, the shaking stopped a moment, before starting up again.

After a few moments of struggles, the tip of a little blue snout pushed through the shell, little jaws taking in her first few gasps of air from outside.

Rock, rock, rock, the second to the last egg started to shake and wobble. Soon, little cracks ran the length of the shell, as the hatchling pushed from within.

A pause as if that within were worn out, or perhaps taking a break, before a piercing cry was given, and with a final push, the little blue hatchling tumbled from her shell.

Tiny wings were plastered to her damp scales thanks to the liquid she'd been suspended in while growing, eyes still shut.

Tiny jaws parted again as she took her first breath of air, then cried out again, naturally, hungry.

There was a curious glance to the first egg, the one that had a head poking out of it but as the other hatchling tumbled out of her there was a squawk, then she scampered over to her and gave her alight nuzzle as if to say 'welcome', unlike her brother who had tackled her while she was just getting her bearings..

Then there was a squawk to her mama, as if to say Look! Another one of us!' She seemed to be excited, soon she would have more siblings to play with....

Hearing the squawk, she grinned and gave a rumble to her daughter, lowering her snout to the pair as they broke their shells. Soon they were getting their first baths, wings, and necks, and little snouts being cleaned.

Momma then moved toward the most recent wyvern carcass, jaws sinking into the flesh as she drug the meat to her babies, it was time to eat.
