Sha'uri came gliding into the area of the Shimmerscale home. Her wings stretched and catching the wind as she dipped one gently and came round in alignment for a smooth landing. Talons claws adeptly made contact and the huge dragon morphed down to the six foot tall woman.

It was a little chilly this morning and Sha'uri drew her shimmering dark cloak closer around her, putting up the hood as she walked the rest of the way to her friends cavern home. In her hand she carried a basket, sweet smells of freshly baked goods drifted from inside along with some kind of cooked meat. It permeated from around her as she came to the front entrance.

"Hello?"

She softly called, not wanting to wake up the whole clan, just Icer. It was still kind of early, though the sun was midway to it's noon marking.

"Icer" It's me, Sha'uri. I've come with your lessons, hun."

The dragon was awake, and a grin was given as she heard the hello, waddling toward the entrance of the lair, and poking her head out, she once again got her shower thanks to the waterfall.

Sha'uri, welcome, and come in, theres plenty of room., a glance toward her sleeping sister then and she chuckled, shaking her head, and don't worry about my sister, she's sound asleep.

Shauri

The question of whom got their second shower for the day was covered by one word....All. Sha'uri stepped back as the water went splashing but was too late to keep herself dry. Though not drenched, it was obvious she got wet. The food, however, was saved by the telekinetic energies that Sha'uri guided to float the basket out of harms way. She chuckled as quietly as she could while she stepped back.

"Hey now, Did I miss a spot?"

She winked and then brought the basket back to her, casting an invisible umbrella above her to keep the water off as she stepped through the curtain of water and into Icer's home. A nod given, she respectfully kept her steps quiet while she first gave Icer a hug and the indicated she'd follow her to wherever Icer wanted to have her lessons.

"You lead, I'll follow. Oh, I brought a little breakfast, too."

Chuckling softly, she smiled as Sha'uri gave her a hug. Sorry about the shower Sha'uri.., when we chose the lair, we figured it would help protect the entrance, nodding toward the waterfall, as she led the way quietly past her sleeping mate and sister.

She led the way into another room just off the main cavern, smiling as she waddled along, breakfast sounds wonderful, and if you wish, feel free to explore Sha'uri, there are still rooms around that even I haven't explored yet.

"It does mask it effectively."

She was referring to the waterfall as she followed Icer down into the side room. Once there, she set the basket down and pulled out a large blanket from inside.

"I think I brought enough for everyone...well, I hope."

Soft shrug, she wasn't sure how many was here.

Then she pulled out a large platter of smoked sugar cured ham, still steaming and set it down. Then she pulled out another.....and another....and still another. Then another four platters heaped up with venison steaks and four more with broasted chicken. Several more platters and bowls were pulled out of that little basket, some containing breads and pastries and even fruits. All that food could've fed an army. She grinned at Icer.

"Peace offerings, just in case I wake anyone up."

The last thing she pulled out were the books Icer would need, and placed them near her friend. She picked up a portion of broasted chicken and took a bite.

"I figure we can eat and you can let me know how far into the books you got the last time you were there. I figure not too far, but it helps me to know just where. Then we can begin."

Icer1978

Eyes widened as she watched Sha'uri pull a feast out of the small basket, and she nodded, carefully picking up a couple ham steaks, she rose a moment, waddling to set one near her mate, and the other beside her sister, then she returned, settling back beside the books.

A smile and wink to her teacher, I figured just in case they don't wake immediately, they still might enjoy something.

She carefully selected another ham steak, and a few fruits which were swallowed, and she looked to the books, flipping through to a few pages in. I was right here, Sha'uri, and I was working on my writing.

She grabbed a slice of meat, some fruits and cheeses, and a handful of fresh bread. Then sat down and began to eat. Noting Icer's widened eyes, she waited for Icer to return before explaining the basket.

"The basket....It's a magical item, like a portable hole or bag of holding....transdimensional so that what makes up the inside of it is actually a pocket of another dimension. This allows for a bigger space so that you can hold a lot more then what the outside of it appears to allow. There are many similar spells that work with this concept. Rope Trick is one spell that you might come to know in time."

She leaned to peer at what Icer was flipping the pages to.

"What is that ....Sentence structures" Nouns and verbs?"

Icer1978

Date: 2007-05-14 20:44 EST
I just started sentance structures Sha'uri, a slight grin as she selected a few more fruits which were eatten slowly.

I've been practicing to make sure that people are able to read my writing first..., nudging the piece of paper to her friend that still bore her barely ledgible name.

Shauri

Date: 2007-05-17 18:02 EST
Shifting her gaze from the book to the paper, she chuckled.

"You should be a doctor. Either that or a wizard. Although, this is better then the last time. Just keep practicing. It does get better."

She relaxed and ate some of her food.

"You know, I could teach you to write in other languages as well. I could teach you to speak them, too. What languages do you speak or would you want to speak?"

Icer1978

Date: 2007-05-18 18:57 EST
Giggling as she heard Sha'uri, I'd frighten all the patients considering that I rather dislike being in my human form, it tends to be to, confining..

As for languages, my adopted mother wanted me to learn Drow, and maybe I could learn a few others.., pausing to nibble on a few berries with a grin.

Shauri

Date: 2007-05-20 08:25 EST
"Ah,"

She smiled widely.

"Ilythiiri zhah biu terini'nestg xanalress....Drow is an interesting language. I learned it when I was a child. Mother always told me it is good to know the language of your friends, and better that of your enemies. So I studied several languages. I have a book you can have that will help you greatly. It was well written and the magic within will allow you to listen to it if you cannot read it. You need only ask it to speak and it will read it for you outloud. Tell it to stop and it will stop. You may ask it to translate things, too and it will break down each translation word for word. It'll even spell the words for you. Quite handy it is."

She opened up a bag from her pocket and pulled out the dark tome with magic runes made of bronze and gold and little ruby chips embedded in the thick hide.

"There you are. You'll be speaking and reading the language in no time. Though....do be careful of speaking it around other Drow. Some don't mind but others take great offense to non drow speaking their language."

Icer1978

Date: 2007-05-22 11:20 EST
I'll be very careful, Sha'uri, thank you. A grin as she tucked the book carefully underneath a wing for the moment, then finding a few berries amongst the meats, she carefully picked them out.

Shauri

Date: 2007-05-22 21:01 EST
"Well, I think that should keep you busy for a while. You could practice learning the Drow language and your writing at the same time, translate short sentences and write them down. Like...I like meat. Or...My leg hurts. Simple sentences with a noun and verb and maybe three to five words."

She snatched a bite of cheese sighed contentedly.

"I'm full. Is that offer to wander around the tunnels still open?"

Icer1978

Date: 2007-05-23 22:25 EST
There was a wide grin at the mention of wandering the tunnels, of course the offer still stands Sha'uri, as I've said before, even I don't know where all of these lead, though none have proven dangerous.

Rising then she waited for her teacher patiently.

Shauri

Date: 2007-05-24 15:32 EST
She grinned as she got up.

"Not dangerous is good. Neither of us are in any condition to explore too much into the realm of chances. Although, I'm sure we'd both know how to find trouble even down here if we tried a little. Maybe we better stick with what you've already found? Of course, they are sleeping..."

Grin, Grin...Devilish grin as she motioned for Icer to lead the way.

Icer1978

That is true Sha'uri.., a chuckle given as she first moved toward a familiar tunnel, and leading the way, they would come to a rather large soaking pond, a grin as she peered into the water a moment, before slipping past for another tunnel.

My father and mate added on here, they placed the pond in here so we could relax our muscles as needed, plus they added another play room.

Continuing on further, the walls of another cavern shimmered with assorted crystals, that had never been removed.

My father and mate added on here, they placed the pond in here so we could relax our muscles as needed, plus they added another play room.

She followed along, peering into the water with a little longing.

"Sure looks inviting."

Only having sandles on her feet, she dipped her toes into the water, testing the temperature. Then she skipped off after Icer with a smile.

"Playroom?"

She was all about that and kept close as they came into the next cavern area. Here her steps slowed and a look of awe filled her whole visage, crystals sparkling all shiney and soft flow of....

"Icer?"

Her steps brought her to a wall, hand outstretched to touch one crystal. Something felt familiar here, something she hadn't felt in a long time and she wondered if she were imagining it. Her heart beat stronger with the possibility alone. Maybe it was just wishful thinking, or maybe...

"Know any Jedi? I might be wrong, but I think these might be force sensitive, attuned like the crystals used to make light sabres. Something feels quite similar to it if they aren't what I'm thinking. I haven't felt this since..."

Her voice trailed off and a mist of tears shimmered in her eyes. It was a sad but soft smile she held just gazing at them, though her mind was filled with ....precious memories.

Icer1978

Jedi?, peering towrad Sha'uri, noting the change in her demeanor, a shake of her head no, I'm afraid I don't Sha'uri, but I've never touched any of these, they were here when we found the lair.

A smile to her teacher, as she gently nuzzled her friend's hand, if you want, we could go back to the pool, I'm willing to share.

Shauri

Date: 2007-06-01 21:00 EST
The feeling faded and she had to wonder if it had been there at all or if for a moment she had just wanted it to be there, that Force sensitive sensation. Maybe she had just been distracted by the nuzzle Icer gave her. She didn't mind, not at all. It made her giggle just a little. Sha'uri patted Icer's nose and then gave her a hug.

"I'd love to! Last one in is a rotten egg!" and she darted down the path, running back to the pool.

Icer1978

Date: 2007-06-01 21:35 EST
A purr given to the patting and a blink, then a giggle as Sha'uri took off sprinting ahead, she bounded after, purposely letting her friend win, and waiting for Sha'uri to slip into the water which was cool, but not quite cold.

She then slid in as well, just letting the water ease away the tension in her muscles.

Shauri

Date: 2007-06-02 17:46 EST
Slip? Smooth dive is what Sha'uri did, figuring that the pool would be large enough for it, dragon sized and all. She changed her form, clothes morphing into scales from the waist down and her feet forming into one tail while she adopted the mermaid form. She was down there a long time, swimming round for several minutes until she came back to Icer and surfaced beside her. She eased back against the edge, proping her arms along the edge, while her tail fin surfaced and waved to her friend, splashing just a little water her way.

"This ....is really nice." she smiled, relaxing in the pool.

Icer1978

Date: 2007-06-02 21:09 EST
A blink as Sha'uri shifted into a mermaid, then she bit back a grin, nodding yes, this is very nice.., Aurthur and my father added this pool on in the lair, we have the lake out front, but it was descided that we could just relax within the safety of our own lair.

Especially with all the sleepless nights we may be having soon enough again.

Shauri

A smile split mirthful features. "Oh yeah! when all those babies hatch. I swear, you two are crazy....all those children. I still think you're trying to build your own army."

Wink and a chuckle, she leaned over and lightly nudged her head against Icer, an act of endearment.

::A purr and grin given as she teased her teacher, just relaxing in the pool.

Perhaps we are Sha'uri ::she winked, and chuckled softly.

So...how do you like it here?

Shauri

Date: 2007-06-12 14:43 EST
"You have a very comfortable pool."

She grinned and eased back against the side of the pool some more, leaning her head all the way back to take a look at the room from a different angle.

"Ever thought about putting up a few lights up along the cieling" Or maybe set into the pool itself" Oooh, that would be romantic."
