Today was a special day. After making her rounds, and checking up on Starrie, The black dragon would stop in front of the crib that held her darling daughter, Luna.

Careful as any mother, she would pick up her toddler and smile to the still slumbering child. Still yet a baby in her mother's eyes.

Changing her daughter, she would then pick out an outfit, carefully and cautiously dressing her precious girl in what seemed to be her favorite color...pink.

Talons gently tousled the curls upon the sleeping child's head, and she smiled fondly and she picked up her precious baby girl in those strong, yet loving forelegs.

"Little Luna, mommasss preciouss." To the black, her babies were even more precious than all the treasures the world had to give.

Perhaps, it was because her own children were so few. One black hatchling that still wandered about the halls of their massive home. Though her hatchling was not as small as she used to be.

Carrying the little girl safely in the crook of her foreleg, she would nod to the guards as they passed. Ensuring that they would not be going very far.

She would not do anything to place her precious baby in danger.

Slipping down the pathways{and still within the guards' view.} She cradled her baby girl as she whispered so softly into the child's ear.

"Wake up little Luna.., there isss sssomething you need to ssee."

The gardens her sister had worked on so long were thriving. It was as if the plants and flowers wished to keep her memory alive.

One day...when she was older.., her little girl would dance amongst the Daffodils. Would sun herself near the lake. Until then. She would carry her daughter through the gardens, letting her get a first glimpse of the outdoors, and what awaited outside the lair.
