Sliding through the snowbanks, the ice dragoness grinned, this was her favorite time of the year. Talons scraped the frozen lake, digging until she managed to make a decent sized hole.

Sitting in wait, jaws would reach in, and clamp shut upon a fish as it would pass nearby. Her task was to make sure her mate, young and she herself had enough food to last out the season.

Soon she abandoned the hole, after lapping up a bit of the fresh, frigid water, carrying her catch into the cavern and down the corridors and trails, twists and turns to where they would store their goods.

A pile of fish soon joined a few small wyvern carcasses, a bit of venison from a buck she'd flushed out earlier, and a few winter berries.

She knew which were edible, and which to keep away from.

Turning around, she made her way back out of the lair and off again, this time, toward the market, she had a few things to buy, mostly surprises for the little ones, and something for her mate.

Blink, there was a grin as she nuzzled her mate, giving a soft rumbled purr. I was out hunting my love, just in case.

She knew storms could easilly blow in, and she would be ready, if one did.

We should get a few new blankets for the hatchlings, musing a bit over what all they would get.

There was a holiday coming up as well, and she needed a few gifts. The little ones were safe at the lair, but still, they needed a few gifts every now and then.

Walking side by side with her mate,. stealing a kiss now and again, they would start browsing the tables.

No we haven't my love. A grin spotting the blanket, nodding to her mate, aye, it looks as if it will keep at least five or six warm my love.

Pointing out another nearby that was almost rainbow colored. What about this one"

She was also trying perhaps to distract her mate, she knew what she wanted to get for him, but it would be hard with him standing right there.

Look my love, books, musing again, this time about the library they'd added on.

Something with pictures, for the little ones to look at. There were tapistries, and tomes, woven blankets and little toys and treats, so much to chose from.

Still, they would not deny their little ones. Important gifts though were first, blankets, toys and goodies would come later.

She had made sure to bring her deep wingpouch, hiding things from hatchlings and young ones would be a must.

Could you see if there are any for the little ones love" Ice blue eyes sparkled with mischief as she snuck away as Aurthur browsed the books.

A woman smiled and nodded as she approached the table of goods. "Anything in particular?"

Glancing back over her shoulder a moment, making sure she hadn't been followed, Aurthur was still looking at books, she nodded to the woman, and lowered her voice to a whisper.

The woman chuckled and nodded, glancing over as well to where the dragoness had looked, "followed you, didn't he..", the saleswoman teased, keeping her voice low as well.

I didn't expect him to come with me. The woman nodded and gave a hearty chuckle while she paid, and hid her mate's gift in her wingpouch.

One more stop before she would return to her mate's side.

Another glance, and she slipped over toward the butcher, who did his best to hide a package as he handed it to the dragoness.

A few coins and gems lit the man's eyes up with delight, and she received a hearty thank you.

Nodding, the package was tucked away as well into her pouch,and soon she was back at her mate's side.

I'm sure they will enjoy them my love. A grin given as she started looking at the sweets laid out. Usually they tried to keep sweets away from the little ones,but she'd give in this one time.

Luckilly for her mate, she was easilly distracted.
