For some time now he had been seeing shadows moving in the forest just outside the lair. He had not ben sure what it was, but it had put a fear in him that told him what it could be. He did not want to believe it, and so he didn't. But his fears came to be true.

While he was watching his three daughters, Naria had gone to find Aris, whom had been teleported by the nexus. Sometime after she had left, he had felt a dark presence and heard a voice whisper in his ear:

"The Father, Unwillingly Betraying... The Mother, Mercilessly Slain... This is your fate. Face it, as it will come to pass"

He had heard these words once before, and it sent a chill down his spine. The last time he heard those words spoken, his father killed his mother five days later.

He had not been the only one to hear it. His daughter Siannia had also heard it and been frightened. And when his mate came home with Aris, he learned that they had heard it as well. But that was not the worst of it

Darin had been there, at the inn. He had seen Aris, and he had revealed that he had a plan with their hatchlings.

For the first time in a long time, he was truly afraid. as he tried to comfort his scared mate.
