::Day in and day out, Aurthur's silhouette could be seen atop the cliff where the cascading waterfall began. He watched over the orphanage, he watched over the lands surrounding it. Either alone, or with his son-in-law Tiamatus close by, he watched. He no longer feared attack from outsiders, for near all the children that had inhabited the orphanage had gone. What he watched for......was his mate. He had heard from her several times already, and was waiting to welcome her home. His eyes were always upon the horizon, watching for a wing, or a flash of scales. Day in, day out, he watched, never speaking a word. He had been silent for weeks now, just watching.......and waiting.::

::A light smile touched his muzzle as he felt Winter settle down upon his back, though he never took his eyes from the horizon.:: "Hello Winter, it is good to see you again. How are things with you and your mate going" Well, I hope" Everytime I speak to him, you are all he seems to be able to talk about." ::There was clear jealousy in his voice, but he was not mean about it.:: "Someday soon, my mate will return to me, and then Im going to lay on top of her so that she can't leave again!" ::Sudden crimson color flushed his cheeks as he realized exactly what it was he had just said. "I mean......ummm......."

::Aurthur laughed softly as he took Winter from his back and set her down.:: What my mate and I do upon her return is our business alone. Perhaps I will do as you say, perhaps I will not. But that will remain to be seen. ::He looked back towards the cave.:: It has been nearly two weeks since I last rested...........I need to go rest. ::He said his farewells, and he went in to rest. However, something happened to him while he rested. He fell into a deep sleep near to hibernation, and something happened to him.

His fangs became elongated, giving him a demonic like appearance. His scales became shot through with streaks of black as dark as night. His rage had influenced him while he rested, and all of his emotions, lonliness, anger, sorrow, pain, they all joined into his soul, transforming his body. Large, sharp spikes appeared on his back, and his talons became longer, sharper than ever before. He looked nothing like he once did. When he at last awoke, some days later, he was startled by his own appearance.::

What has happened to me........." What have I become" Is this my curse" Did I do something to upset the Gods"
