She was a princess of her world. Her eyes marked her as the princess. One of the most powerful races of dragons her world had ever seen. Eyes the color of flames and scales as dark as smoke. She would blend into the fire as no other dragon could. She was still just a hatchling and her mother was fighting for her life against the mage/dragon. Another rare but deadly dragon of her world. She didn't understand what was going on or why the large dragon wanted her mommy dead. She looked nothing like her mother nor her father. She was far rarer than either of them. A powerful fire dragon and water dragon. She was a dragon born with the abilities of both. when water met fire steam was a result and that would be her specialty. She would be able to control both fire and water. And this mage wanted her dead. Her mother was fighting to save her daughter Fire spewed from her nostrils as she blasted the mage dragon he simply laughed and countered the fire with a spell of water.

The fight continued for some time the mage was growing tired as was the dragon mother. The mage dragon's head began a chant killing the child would not be done as easily as he had first thought so he came up with a back up plan and that was to send her away to another realm one where she knew nothing of the people. A place where no one would know just how special she truly was. A place where she would most likely starve to death and he would be safe from retaliation.

The next thing Telisant knew was one moment she was watching the fight and then she saw her mother going down and the mage/dragon looking on triumphantly and then she was gone....tumbling through time and space and into the unknown.

The next thing she knew she was rolling out of a fireplace into a room crowded with people. She was frightened and hungry not a good combination for a baby dragon. She first tried eating the first thing she saw some kind of something or other with strange symbols on it. Then spat it out realizing that the sign was not edible. She looked around the room noticing that there were no other dragons around. She began to cry.

Someone realized what was wrong and tossed some scraps of food to her and she devoured it quickly not caring if it might have been poisonous. Fortunately it wasn't. After it had been finished she slipped outside and found a lake somewhere and drifted off to sleep in the brush hiding from the world.

She woke some time later to find others near by and she stirred a glance around told her there were two...She peered out of the brush spotting two other dragons and she felt a little relief and then another woman and a man....looked to be human at first. She'd been spotted and had come out for a while. She was just barely learning to speak. "Mommy?" she called out. Then began to cry when her mother didn't appear. The woman had turned into a larger dragon and lifted her and had taken her to look for her mother. Of course they didn't find her. But at least she had tried. Again she'd been fed and drifted off to sleep. But the shape shifting dragon wasn't her mother and well she didn't feel as if she belonged with her.

Again she'd fallen asleep only to wake once more to voices. Sleepily she lifted her head and peered out of the brushes to see a very large blue dragon. She was incredibly beautiful almost like her mother. Flame eyes peered out of the brush and then she'd been spotted and lifted from her hiding place in a gentle snout just like her mother used to do. She had someone with her. Eyes looking back and forth between the man and dragon. She managed to say for the first time her own name. "Telisant." The dragon had said her name was Icer.

When her belly rumbled Icer had gotten her something to eat and the meat was devoured with enthusiasm, and then the man brought something out of his coat and at the request of Icer began to play a song. Once more Telisant found herself drifting off to sleep. With a full tummy and warm and for the first time not nearly as frightened as she had been since arriving in this place.
