Odela Heart Silverwing. She was the eldest of a family and the princess to her father. She was the pride and joy, their first. They loved all their children, and Odela understood love was shared equally among them. She felt so much love from her parents, but she always seem to feel like something was missing.

She remembered hearing tales of how her mother and father met. How he was a silver streak in the stars that came to her mother's rescue. Odela always wondered how it was that her mother fell in love with the eyes of her mate. How her father always seemed to have an overwhelming amount of love for her mother. It never seemed to end between those two, only going stronger....And she wanted that.

Yet Odela was reminded of how much trouble she was. The fact that she was always being repremanded by her father and mother for being a "Little Terror". They had told her repeatedly that she was so much trouble it would take a strong Dragon to tolerate being her mate. At least that's what her mother would say when she had gone beyond just agrivated. Odela was beginning to feel no Dragon would ever be her mate.

She was prepared, utterly prepared to be alone all her days. Her father told her it was rubbish, nonsense, that every Dragon had a mate somewhere. Pains and torments here and there....It felt like she was just causing trouble because she had nothing better to do.

It was amazing the thoughts she ran across while she sat there at the lake. The water and the sound of animals at the edge was all soothing, all relaxing.

Her tail wrapped around her and she settled forwards. Her acidic green eyes, her father's eyes, peered towards the water. Watching the fish within it swim about with little interest. She was lonily, oh so lonily, but she was sure she could live with it....For a while.

::There was a draagon who happened to be in the area, practicing his aerial maneuvers. He started with a looping wing-over, followed by a dive and pulling up sharply, the tips of his talons cutting through the surface of the water. He was not overly large, but his ruby color set him out in the world, especially with his bright golden chest and belly scales. He was well muscled, and though not extremely agile, he would definately be able to hold his own against most dragons.

He had not seen the dragoness until he turned in a loop and saw her sitting on the bank, and he pulled up sharply, a little embarrassed. He was sure he had been alone out here, after all. He waved a greeting from where he hovered in the air, but dared not go closer. He had no idea if he had intruded upon someones territory or not.::

Odela had hardly noticed the streak in the sky, she was dazing. Her eyes locked on the waves rolling on the lake peacefully. When she had spoted the refelction she emedioutly went into a bit of a wary position. Turning her head as if she had spotted some hostile force.

However, when it was drake she saw her green eyes eased and she nodded. Her tail coming to coil at her side she called out," No need to worry....I don't bite..." Odela knew all to well she bit, but she wasn't about to brag about that to a strange Dragon that was slightly bigger than she was.

::Tipping his wing, he flew towards her, settling down a respectable distance away, and gave a small bow of his head.:: I am sorry to intrude upon you, I thought that I was alone here at the lake. This is where I come to practice my flying and battle tactics........Oh, my father woud be ashamed of my manners. I am Drake Lasair, my lady, and a pleasure it is to meet you.

I never thought anyone came out here, which is absolutely absurd. Its beautiful out here, and one can go swimming with very little disturbance......I thought there would be more dragons living out here.
