She had made it back to the lair without incident. Dropping the turtle off in the indoor pond, she would eye her sister, before disappearing down a corridor.

She couldn't stay in their room, it reminded her too much of her mate. If it weren't for the children, she might not be there at all.

She would emerge only to feed the children, but never taking anything for herself.

The dragon's appetite was gone. Instead, she'd spend most of the day coiled in a darkened room, slumbering, napping. so long as the dreams didn't come.
