Topic: The glow trapped in the darkness.

There was a cry as she lurched up from her back. Cold sweat was beading off her brow as she whimpered. Eyes wide as moons searched the darkness around her. Glow dim from her own body as she panted," Sky!" She cried out as she looked around. Horror racing through her as she looked around," Sky!"

Curling into a ball she closed her eyes. She had saved Sky but at what cost to her. Darin had played puppet master with Sarah and now she was being played with. Soon he'd do the same to her as he had done to Sarah and Slavka. Eyes widened yet again at the thought of Slavka. Gasping she looked around for the father of the Shadowclaw clan.

Moving towards the edge of her cage she looked around again, whispering softly," Slavka....Where are you?"

A shadow separated itself from the rest of the darkness. As it approached Lanari, it seemed to take the shape of a human. A pair of scarlet eyes shone through the darkness, accompanied with a cold laugh

?"Sky! Sky help me!?" he mimicked her, then stared at her coldly

"He will never come to your aid. Face it, he doesn't care about you. It was all a lie. That is why he let me take you. That is why you will serve me until you die."

He made no mention of Slavka, whom had somehow escaped his grasp.

Lanari's eyes burned as Darin appeared. When he spoke she spat out in retaliation," Sky will come for me. You just watch." Wrapping her fingers around the bars of the cage she watched him wearily," I'll never serve you....I'm not going to be like Sarah, I won't let you trap me like you have her trapped." Snarling as she looked at him.

"Where is she any ways....Seems she's abandoned you." Smirking her eyes met his as her body seemed to glow brighter in defiance against his darkness.

He made no reply, other than to return her smirk with a continued stare. Even though it seemed he was simply ignoring her, he was actually considering what she had said...He had already lost three of his agents, he was nowhere near his goal, and now he realised he had not seen Sarah since he had confronted her about her failure. Then he smiled as Sky stepped out of the shadows and stood next to him. It wasn't the real Sky, but a trick, yet in the darkness it would look more than real. The fake Sky gave a cold look reminiscent of when he had been controled by his father, then it spoke.

"I have been here the entire time Lanari, i'm surprised you didn't realise it"
