::Lairless, hopeless, and lost, the dragon wandered and searched, gathering intel the best way that he could, going to the library to look at maps of his new home. He landed softly next to the lake in the glenn, completely lost, and hating every moment of it.:: "This is not my home.....I want to go back to my home. No one even wants me here.......I wish a slayer would come and take me........"

The silver dragoness was still completely lost, mismatched eyes blinking as she slid through the forest. Branches snapped underneath her talons, and she paused to sniff the air, something caught her attention..

Following the scent, and the voice, she peered out from the brush, to the one by the lake, mismatched gaze remaining on the male. He looked just as lost as she, so cautiously, she slid toward him, silvery neck held in a non threatening way. Hello?

::He turned sharply to find the source of the voice, amazed that he had been caught unaware. He was losing his edge lately, it seemed. He sensed no threat, merely curiosity. So he sat down on his haunces and coiled his tail around his form. The sunlight caught him perfectly, and he sparkled like a million jewels. "Hello there.....Are you by chance, from around here?"

I am, a nod to the male, though she was a bit shy, she settled a short distance away. Mismatched eyes still remained on the male though, one blue, one green, and a bit of a smile.

I was separated from my father, and I seem to have gotten lost..

"Well, I am glad to hear that you are from here, i am from somewhere else, but I ended up here, and I don't know where I am.......I am sorry to hear that you are lost, too." ::He seemed rather irritated for a moment, then an apologetic smile.:: "Sometimes you think yourself so wise from reading and study, and then something like this happens and theres not a thing you can do about it......It's certainly put me in my place, that's for sure!" ::He laughed softly and scratched at the back of his neck.::

Starseeker

Well, your in Rhydin, but thats all I remember right now, a nod given, along with a soft chuckle. Oh sorry.., I am Starseeker..

Acting a bit shy once again, and was that a blush?, just perhaps, maybe, she seemed to like him, but how to find the words..

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-07-21 08:19 EST
He was unaware of her blush, and completely oblivious to the fact that she might like him. He was still staring around.:: "Rhydin, huh....?" ::He rolled the name around in his mouth a bit.:: "I've never heard of it before. It was never mentioned at my old home's library.....I MUST be in another world, that's the only thing I can come up with......."

Maybe you are? Where is your home, if I may ask. Mismatched eyes remained upon the male before her, and she sat up just a little.

She understood that he would want to probably explore these new surroundings.

Garethwevir Firefang

"M'lady, my home is in the Frostfang Mountains, in the land of Tia'levi'ra." ::What a sound that was, dropping from his mouth.:: ::He smiled warmly, turning back to the dragoness, his scales absolutely luminescent in the sunlight.:

Starseeker

I've never heard of that place, but it does sound lovely. Maybe though we could explore together?

I mean.., I'm already lost anyways.

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-07-22 02:21 EST
"Your already lost, and so am I. It sounds lovely to have some companionship in exploring this world.......Especially if that company is a lovely young dragoness just like you......." ::Was that a blush touching his cheeks. Perhaps, or it could just be a play of the light off his scales.::

Mismatched eyes blinked and she started blushing as well. a smile upon her snout. We can explore the forest for starters, well if you want, or we can explore the Glen.

It matters not to me.

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-07-23 07:31 EST
::He grunted softly, looking over his shoulder.:: "I have seen enough of this forest to last me a lifetime.......It is full of sinkholes and branches that like to smack you without provocation....This glen you speak of though, I think I should like to go there. I haven't been many places here yet, and if you were to be my guide, you could show me the places that you know too. I think that would be wonderful."

Starseeker

Date: 2009-07-23 08:55 EST
Well just follow me then. She leaned over an snuck a kiss, that blush still there, before turning to lead the way through the forest.

Maybe the Glen will be better, I haven't found any sinkholes yet. There is also a small lake, its nice and peaceful, and the water is cool.

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-07-23 09:01 EST
::She was ready to go, but she had left him in a state of shock. He had never kissed anyone before, nor had he ever been kissed. He looked rather dumbfounded, staring at her with his eyes wide and mouth agape before he could regain his composure.:: "Y...Yes, the glen.....No sinkholes is good.....I'll be h...happy to follow you....."

Starseeker

Date: 2009-07-24 18:45 EST
Come on then. She smiled, seeing the dumbfounded look upon his snout, and bit her tongue to keep from giggling. I can't believe you have never been kissed now..

Settling where she stood, she waited patiently for him to catch up, mismatched gaze studying the trees and flowers around. Maybe next time, she wouldn't get lost.

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-07-25 07:40 EST
::He shook off his shock, and he caught up to her.:: "I never have been kissed.....Ever since I left the nest, I have lived on my own. I have never thought about.....Well.....You know....." ::His scale were bright red in his cheeks, and he couldn't meet her gaze. Gareth was a true innocent young dragon.::

Starseeker

Date: 2009-07-25 08:42 EST
Before I saw you, I had not been either. She sniffed a flower, then looked back to him with a grin. I was raised by Mathias, he was the only one, and the first I saw when I broke through my shell.

Up until now though, I have been alone. Wandering I suppose, itseasy to get turned around.

I never thought I'd meet anyone though. But I do like you.

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-07-27 11:56 EST
I.....I like you too.....::His blush only deepened as he kept up with her inspecting this tree or that bush as they moved through the forest. He was walking right next to her when he 'found' another sinkhole, and he slammed to the ground, yelping in pain as he twisted his front paw slightly.:: "Im really beginning to despise this forest and it's sinkholes!"

Starseeker

Date: 2009-07-27 20:08 EST
Here, let me help you. she moved carefully toward Gareth, making sure not to fall into any sinkholes herself, and she leaned against him carefully.

Lean against me, it'll help keep your weight off your ankle.

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-07-28 07:49 EST
"Ummm......Errr.....O...Okay." ::That blush of his only seemed to grow brighter, and there was no denying that it was a blush now. He leaned against her and limped along. And that's when it happened. Something he had not forseen, or even imagined doing, but it happened of its own accord. His tail wrapped around hers as they walked, and by the time he figured out what was going on, their tails were well tangled.:: "Oh my! Im so, so sorry, please forgive my ignorance, I didn't mean to! I can't believe I was so presumtious.....!" ::He downcast his eyes and looked away to "inspect" a group of flowers, but if his cheeks got any redder, he might just burst into flame.::

Starseeker

Date: 2009-07-28 11:24 EST
She helped support him, and didn't seem to mind at all when his tail wrapped around hers. In fact, when they became tangled, she giggled, and leaned over to steal another kiss.

You don't have to appologize Gareth. A wink given to him, and she then nuzzled his neck carefully.

::At last Garethwevir began to settle down, though his mind was working a mile a minute. What if this was his mate, and he had come here not by chance, but was destined to be here, with her? He believed in fate, and in destiny, that things happen for a reason. In his old world, he had been called many names due to his constant studies and unwillingness to fight or kill like the other dragons. And here, it seemed that was perfectly normal. Star was so very beautiful, and she was nice to him.....And she kissed him. He had liked it, and he leaned a little closer to her, purring softly.::

Starseeker

Date: 2009-07-29 12:31 EST
She rumbled and purred in response, leading the way through the forest, being careful not to lead him into any more holes.

Soon it started to rain, and she blinked, finding a pathway that led to an abandoned cavern, they could wait out the coming storm there, exploring could always wait after all.

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-08-07 08:04 EST
::He huddled down in the cavern. He never really liked storms that much anyways, though he most certainly knew what caused them to occur through his years of study, though he would certainly not bore her with such nonsense. He was so confused......She liked him, and he liked her, but he knew nothing about courtship, other than what he had read in his studies, and none of that seemed to apply here. If they liked each other, they should court, right' He thought so, but he had the least idea of how to go about it, so instead he made small talk like a bumbling fool.:: "So.....Do you think this storm will last long?"

Starseeker

Date: 2009-08-08 15:24 EST
It might last awhile, but this cavern should stay dry. She snuggled closer to him, peering out as the rain started getting heavier, until it was pouring outside.

A few thunderclaps almost made her jump, but so long as she was with Gareth, she didn't seem to mind.

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-08-10 03:09 EST
::He held her close, noticing the spasms of her muscles as she jumped in fear. He would protect her though. Of course he would. He would give his life for her, and he barely knew her. "Star. as you know, I am a scholar...And...I was wondering if you could tell me about the dragon courtship rituals here......"

Starseeker

Date: 2009-08-11 12:35 EST
Well.., I'm not quite sure Gareth, but it doesn't matter. She snuggled close against him, watching the rain continue to pour outside, even dripping down from the leaves of the trees.

Still, she felt content beside him, and leaned in, stealing another kiss.

I've a feeling we may be here awhile, but soon as the rain lets up dearest, we can continue exploring.

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-08-12 16:30 EST
Oh......::He seemed kind of disappointed when she didn't know the rituals, but he brightened when she called him dearest, and he barely blushed when she kissed him this time.:: Perhaps while we wait out the storm, you would like to hear about the rituals where I come from' ::He reached into his wingpounch and withdrew a gold ring, simple in its shape, but beautiful none the less.:: You see, where I come from, when the males and females reach the age they can take a mate, they craft a ring, like this one. When they have found their mate, the male will place his ring on the females tail, and the female will place her ring on the male's horn. Interesting, huh?

Starseeker

Date: 2009-08-13 09:51 EST
Peering at the ring, and smiling, it was shiny, and held her attention, though his voice held it more.

Very interesting. She snuggled close against him, not jumping this time as thunder pealed in the distance and lightning raced across the skies.

In fact, she seemed quite content, and peered out at the natural light show, the cavern keeping the pair safe and dry.

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-08-17 06:08 EST
::Was he really that much of a coward that he couldn't come right out and ask her to be his mate" At his point, yes he was, and there were reasons for that. For one, he had only just arrived her, and for another, he didn't even know her for more than a day! But they seemed to go together so well, the traits of one filling in the gaps of the other to make one complete whole. He truely was pathetic. And before he even realized it, he started speaking.::

Have you ever......Wanted something so badly, that your heart desired it so much, and yet your head tells you that you cannot have it' Something that you would give anything for, but no matter how smart you are, or how strong you might be, that you fear you'll never reach your goal"

Starseeker

Date: 2009-08-24 12:29 EST
I can't really say, but.., I know that I do like you. She huddled closer to Gareth as the lightning flashed once more, continuing to watch the rain fall.

Finally the sun started breaking through the clouds, creating a rainbow overhead, the pitter patter of the rain slowing down, and one more small rumble of thunder overhead, the storm finally was passing.

Garethwevir Firefang

Date: 2009-08-25 08:21 EST
::The storm was passing, and the rainbow was beautiful. He felt that if he were to say something, now should be the time, before they left the cave.::

"Alright.......Well......What would you say if.......I said I liked you more than a friend" What if I said that I would like to court you?" ::Just like that the words fell out of his muzzle. He hadn't even meant to be that forward! He could only sit there stupified with his mouth open, unbelieveing that he had just asked her that right out of the blue.::

Starseeker

Date: 2009-08-25 10:29 EST
She was watching the rainbow in the sky, listening to his words. When all of a sudden, she heard him say he wanted to court her.

Looking back to him, she stiffled a giggle at seeing his jaws hanging open. You know.., I'd like that very much dear.

Perhaps now, we can also continue our walk. Leaning over, she stole a kiss, and sat up, finally stretching herself out.
