The gold could usually be found one of three places near the lair. Most of her days were spent helping her aunt watch over and care for her siblings.

On the rare days she received a break, she would while away her time within the library. Studying the books her mother once had. The gardens also were a retreat from day to day.

It was the ledge she would spend most of her time upon., just outside the roaring falls that helped disguise the entrance of their home. Green eyes would lift to the sky, watching the clouds float by upon the breeze.

She waited there for any sight of her parents which had long ago disappeared. What had happened that day' The answer would be lost to the gold and a breeze would rustle the nearby tree tops.

She could overlook everything there. The gardens, the ranch, the lake fed by the very falls.

Still there were no signs of her sister, or her mate. the black scowled as scenarios played out in her head.

Shaking away the thoughts, she would move toward the entrance of the lair. The scowl would be replaced with a wane smile as she stuck her head out, squinting at the cold shower.

It would be worth it of course, as she was checking up on Solaria.

Shaking herself off, she would sit upon another ledge nearby, quietly watching over her niece, before finally speaking.

"Are you alright?"

She had nearly started at the voice coming from nearby, having still been watching the sky. So far, just a few clouds and a flock of geese had flown on by.

"Just missing them." It was the truth. She needed her parents just as did the other hatchlings. Turning, she would stretch herself out, and move to her feet, crawling closer to her aunt.

"How are they doing? She inquired over her brothers and sisters. It had been a while since last she had gone to check upon them. The black shook her head.

"They are eating at least." To The gold, that at least was good news.
