Aurthur Shimmerscale

Date: 2009-04-09 13:45 EST
::The was a massive crash near the Red Dragon Inn as Aurthur smashed into the ground, taking a few trees down with him. He lay still for a moment before he began to crawl towards the Inn. Multiple arrow shafts had pierced his body and made him look almost like a porcupine of sorts. Blood leaked from a gash between his horns and into his eyes. His wings were pockmarked with arrow holes and torn, the left now shattered from his fall. He tried to roar for help but couldn't. He spoke as loudly as he could, barely a whisper::

Someone......Please........Help......me........Hun ters.......Matthew Spade..........::He fell silent, his great head falling to the ground. Was he dead? No, his sides still rose and fell with shallow breaths, but he was unconcious. If the hunters had followed him, all it would take was a single grace stroke to end the dragon's life.::

Mayverdia

"Kindred heart that was never fade away. Live and let live, to love another day. You are strong and full of life, do not let this hunter's bane be your strife. Will thyself to stand tall and proud again. Never let thyself fall against a blade again. Wake and find they love again. Let the hunter meet my bane and fade into the darkness from where it came."

Mayverdia Aleta was a fair and wise woman at times. To show her true nature was to have truly been blessed. She was fair and soft at times just like her mother was. As the dragon fell to his rest she had come to his aid the swiftest way she could. Falling to her knees she would be seen drawing in a tender breath. Her head shaking all the while.

"Tis not thy time to fall. Stand and find the strength you need in those you love. Noble blood, noble drake....Wake."

A pure shot of blessed light poured from her hand. Wounds upon the dragon's visage were healed that very instant. Her power was sealed in a blink, for her duty of mending was done. If she must meet resistance, than a new part of her seal would have to come undone.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-04-11 08:45 EST
::There would be resistance, but it would not come from the downed dragon, for he obviously had no resistance to offer. No, the intrusion came in the form of rapid hoofbeats at first, and over the hill, the slayer aproached on his chestnut colored steed. The horse snorted and shook its head at the smell of dragon, but proceeded forward at Spade's gentle urging.:: "Lo, what is this! Stand away from that dragon, that is MY trophy you are tampering with! His head belongs to ME! ::Calling the horse to a halt, he slid off the horses back and approached, drawing a long and still bloodied blade::

"You had better not be healing that dragon, woman, if you know what?s good for you." ::He would level his blade upon her:: "I've work too long and hard to put him in that prone position, and I'll not have his hide taken from me again! Now if you are wise, you will stand aside and let me finish him off! Think of it as a peaceful, merciful death."

Mayverdia

Date: 2009-04-29 17:09 EST
"I am warning you, this dragon is healed, and has family on the way." Bluntly put. Her eyes narrowed on the man, fingers curling. The passive woman was not about to fight. Even if the man smelled of blood and would have made her uncle beam with pride. It was disgusting.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-04-30 11:20 EST
::The knight laughed softly and paced slowly closer, his sword leveled on the downed dragon, but his eyes on her.::

"I think your bluffing. If that dragon was healed, he would have launched an assault on me by now. If if his family was on the way, they would already be here. No one is coming to help him, and you can't save him. If you value your life, you'll leave now."

SnowPearl

She had landed silently a few blocks away, crept slowly, her issue was with the slayer who now had her father at his grasp. As he lowered the blade she reared up behind the hunter, ice cold breath puffing on the back of his neck in thick waves of fog. A low hiss finally leaving her lips.

Odela was not far behind, landing before her grandfather and giving him a soft nudge while her mother tended to the hunter. A soft spark of life given to her grandfather from her muzzle, just to wake him. It may have stung a little.

A rock fell from one of the roof tops, Chance was there peering down at the hunter, acidic snarl growing from her muzzle. Her wings folded along her side while her tail thumped behind her. Jagged talons digging into the side of the sealing.

Then there was a near black, deep blue dragoness. Seleste, staring at him with acid hues from her spot in the shadows. Muzzle parted, giving a warning flair of green flame within it, never letting it part however.

Yet another dragon had met the call to rise. The hunter was in for a strange surprise. A white, known as Asharee, joined the other females in greeting. A cold rumble coming from her from the opposing roof top, crossed from chance. All ways of escape were nearly covered, all but one. The man hole.

Mayverdia

Date: 2009-04-30 12:13 EST
There was the smug grin that Mayverdia was known for. It was more or less the grin that said,' You're screwed!' She simply twisted her wrist and a ball of sparks formed within the palm of her hand. She eyed it casually while she stood there. Clearing her throat to motion that he was now surrounded," The question is.....Do YOU value your life?"

Aurthur Shimmerscale

Date: 2009-04-30 21:20 EST
*One eye slid slowly open, and a ragged gasp escaped his throat. He tried to push himself up to all fours, but could only groan and collapse again. He was still to weak, but he could see that he was not alone at all. His family surrounded the hunter from all sides, and he could swear that he heard more dragons nearby.*

It seems to me.........That the hunter.......Has become the hunted........

Alexander Lasair

Date: 2009-04-30 21:26 EST
::It would seem that the coming of dragons was not yet finished as the male halves of the family came winging in with roars of fury, fangs bared and talons ready to kill. The first was the one eyed Alexander Lasair, giving a feral snarl as he landed. Next would come his son Drake, landing next to his father. Thought not as large, he was still intimidating.

Tiamatus was next to make his prescence known, alighting next to his mate Snowpearl. The Black Death, Damean Darkheart even joined the group, causing the earth to shudder under his massive weight as he landed.

Aurok Goldclaw was not too far behind, nor was Temeraire. The Shimmerscale clan was nearly all there in that clearing. Any chance that the hunter had for survival was nearly gone.::

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-04-30 21:30 EST
*Surrounded. Completely and totally surrounded by the very beasts that he hated most. There was nowhere to run, and he knew he had no chance of beating even one of the dragons with all of them there. But why was he grinning" And his sword never faltered as he took another step forward, ignoring the dragons at his back*

"What value is a lift that has already been lost' I have been slain once before, by the claws of that dragon there.......My life has very little value in and of itself, but it still has its purposes. One by one......." ::He turned a slow circle, leveling the sword on each of the dragons in turn:: "You will all fall, by my blade, or by someone elses. However, you have proven your cowardice this day. You cannot duel me one on one and win, can you? None of you can. Why do you fear me so' Im just a human, right' Or am I........Something more?"

Icer1978

Date: 2009-05-10 14:55 EST
One more dragoness soon joined in, ice blue eyes narrowed on Matthew Spade as she winged her way over the rise.

A snarl rose in her throat though she landed beside her beloved mate Aurthur, nostrils flared and she lowered her head, aiming her newly grown horns at the slayer.

I slew you once Matthew, I will so again should you do harm to my kin.

Icer...had returned.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-11 08:19 EST
::Oh ho! What was this" The mate of his mark, and the last dragon he had wanted to see. Surrounded by the Shimmerscale family, he knew that he was now in a very bad situation.::

"Ahhhh, Icer Shimmerscale. I heard you were very ill.......That's too bad, now I have to add another name to my list......" ::Matthew sheathed his blade and turned his back on the dragons.:: "You have your chance now.......You can strike me down, but I don't think you will. No.....You have too much honor to strike a man in the back, don't you?"

Stormshadow

Date: 2009-05-11 17:56 EST
Thunder sounded and lightning flared across the sky as one very angry black dragon winged overhead, landing beside her sister Icer, green eyes narrowed and jaws parted to send a warning bolt toward the feet of the slayer.

I can't even have peace for one moment, can I.., now ssssslayer, a deep throated hiss given, I sssssugesssst you leave....now.

Icer1978

Date: 2009-05-11 18:03 EST
A fanged grin was given, oh come now Matthew.., you are nae afraid of liittle old me are you, but then.., I did kill you once before, though Kronos did help quite a bit if I do remember. As of my illness.., it has passed, just as you shall again., already she was moving for the slayer, nostrils flaring, and her neck puffing up in a threat display.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-12 22:44 EST
"Hmmmm, not today, lizard. The odds are just a little too far into your favor, there being so many more of you than me. But that's alright, though I will give you one final warning before I go........I am not working alone, and one of your own kin is working with me........So beware, I will come for each of you, one by one!" ::He slammed a vial of something on the ground, and there was a blinding flash that filled the area, blinding the dragons and filling the clearing with smoke so that the knight could swiftly make his escape before the dragons could recover. Close........He had been so close to taking Aurthur......Now he had to come up with a new strategy..........::

Icer1978

Date: 2009-05-12 23:04 EST
I'll be waiting Matthew, a snarl deep in her throat though she started to choke on the smoke, or whatever it was, nostrils flaring and burning.

When the smoke cleared, she snarled seeing that the slayer had vanished.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-12 23:11 EST
::High above now in the mountains, Matthew stood, looking down on the family of dragons. He could easily strike one from here, and probably kill with the leathal dragonsbane poison, but that would give away his position, and equally mean a second death for him. His armor removed, it was now apparent what he meant when he said he was 'something more.' Forest green wings stretched out behind him, testing the winds. Fairly new in their appearance on his body, he still remembered the agonizing pain that came with them. Still, now that he had them, he could use them to take down those who had stood against him.::

"Just wait.......all of you.......By my hand I will see to it that every last Shimmerscale meets their death!"

Icer1978

Date: 2009-05-12 23:26 EST
Eyes narrowed, she could be quite stubborn after all, she was going hunting. Wings unfurled before any of her kin could protest and she was off, flying in the direction she thought the slayer had taken, how dare he even think about attacking her mate.

Ice blue eyes scanned the area below as she neared, keeping to the thermals so she could glide easier.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-12 23:37 EST
::Just as he had anticipated. The attack upon the mate had been his opening move, and it had worked perfectly. Now he had lured Icer away, and she was coming for him. He laughed darkly, taking to the air himself and making himself known to her. As soon as she followed him, he lead her around and through the valleys to his hidden lair. As soon as she landed and went to follow him inside, he stepped around the corner and stuck the dragon with a shuriken laced with a heavy but non-lethal dose of Dragonsbane.:: "Sleep now, dragoness.......I dont want you dead just yet......."

::When the dragoness would wake, she would find herself shackled to the floor, her wings pinned to her back, and a muzzle on her. He stepped in front of her and laughed softly:: "Soon enough they will come for you......but your life hangs in the balance......."

Icer1978

Date: 2009-05-12 23:50 EST
Pain.., there was a flash of light and a jolt of pain that rippled up her spine as she was stabbed, fighting, always fighting to keep her eyes open, but failing, and then, sleep.

She woke later to Matthew's voice pounding in her ears, rumbling weakly and trying to stand, but finding that she was bound and stuck fast.

Blue eyes fell upon the muzzle and she grunted, reaching up to rake her talons across the occursed thing upon her, but that too sent jolts of pain shooting through her body, why had she gone alone?

Blue eyes fell back onto Matthew and she gave a weakened snarl, though she did not move too much more, the Dragonsbane coursing through her blood keeping her mostly paralyzed.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-13 12:51 EST
::He walked slowly around the bound dragoness, well out of her range. She may be near paralyzed, but he was no fool. He chuckled as he inspeceted his handywork.::

"They will come for you, especially your mate. And he's going to be just as foolish as you are.....He'll come alone searching for you. And when he does, he's going to end up just like you.......Except......When I chain him up, Im going to chain him up across from you. And then the fun begins, because your going to watch him die........And when the next family member finds you, the fun is going to start all over again........"

::He stuck the dragoness with another measured dose of Dragonsbane.:: "Relax, breathe easy, and lets sit back, wait, and see who gets here first, hmmmm?"

Icer1978

Date: 2009-05-13 13:00 EST
Bastard.., I.., hate you..., the dragoness took labored breaths as she listened, then snarled and strained against her bonds.

Ice blue eyes remained locked with the slayers at all times as she again thrashed, trying to reach.

Even if she could, the muzzle would prevent her from biting and the chains only bit deeper into her scales, sending another wave of pain and a bit of nausea through her form.

She tried pulling her neck back as Matthew approached with the needle, and she hissed, and snarled, muscles twitching as the newest dose of poison had been administered.

Eyelids drooped and her breathing that had steadied out became a bit more labored once again, but she wouldn't sleep.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-13 13:15 EST
::She may not have slept, but time passed slowly while she was in her stupor. He moved around the lair, bottles chimed as they struck one another, and pans clanged loudly. What he was doing was anyone's guess, but he finally approached her and patted her cheek to snap her out of her daze.:: "Wake up! I don't want you to miss this......Guess who is winging his way here right now? And he looks so very angry too......."

Alexander Bane

Date: 2009-05-13 15:13 EST
It wasn't Arthur in the distance, but his double. Alexander. He had no reasoning for not helping and he had no reasoning to stay out of the issue at hand. He had nothing. If he died today, he would die proud. He would die protecting those who were friendly to him.

For all Matthew knew. Arthur was on his way. But this was not Arthur, this was Alexander, and he wasn't foolish enough to fall for the trap that Matthew had thought he made. Even Arthur in his rage was convinced not to go blindly into this battle.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-13 15:20 EST
::Rubbing his hands together in anticipation, the trap was set up, waiting for the unwary to enter. It was an easy rig, and nearly undectable. Once the offending dragon entered, a net of heavy chains would fall from the ceiling, pinning the dragon down. Thrashing would make the dragon even more entangled so that he could either kill or poision the dragon at his leisure.::

"You don't want to miss the opportunity to say goodbye to your first family member, now do you, you wretch?" ::Pulling on one of Icer's chains to raise her head so that she would be forced to watch no matter if she wanted to or not.::

Alexander Bane

Date: 2009-05-13 15:37 EST
Alexander spotted something amiss. The way the slayer was acting had him off. He turned his frame up for a moment and reared back. A feral roar of rage came from him. He took in a deep breath, smoldering ice forming at his muzzle. It was so cold it was steaming.

In moments the ice hit the entrance of the cave and all that was around it. Including his chain net. The metal never stood a chance. When he entered the metal came down, cased in a frozen cast. Alexander roared again and reared up. Cold metal snaps under pressure and there was enough coming from Alex to do the job.

Cold eyes narrowed on Matthew and he snarled darkly. His goal was to get Matthew out of the cave.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-13 16:02 EST
"Well, would you look at this smart ass" If I didnt have the powers of Kronos, I would be a frozen popsicle. Well, don't you wanna come in, now that you've ruined my stuff you stupid dragon"!"

::Something was very peculiar about this situation. The dragon was smart enough to disable the trap, and yet it sat outside, just glaring at him when it had an open opportunity to strike at him safely. Was it worried about Icer's safety' Perhaps.::

"You know what, Aurthur" I like you. So here's what i'm gonna do. Im gonna give you a hint, okay' You ready, dumbass" Here we go, just a little riddle for you..........You had better look up, but be careful on the way down........"

::There was a low grumbling, and from above, a slide of rocks was on the way down. The dragon couldn't fly to avoid it, it was too late. But if it stood there, it would take out the ledge that he was standing on, making him plummet to his death.::

"See ya in the next life, loser!"

Icer1978

Date: 2009-05-15 08:22 EST
A snarl was given as Matthew ripped up the chain, giving her one hell of a massive headache. Let me GO!!!, straining and thrashing, she tried knocking Matthew off his feet.

Aurthur no, its a trap!!, she knew by scent the one outside was not her mate, but she had to play along.

One eye remained on Matthew and the needle at all times, nostrils flaring, if only she could break free.., even if it were just her tail...

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-17 07:34 EST
"The only way i'm letting you go is if your pumped so full of Dragonsbane that you'll never move again!" ::Matthew wasn't in the mood to play games. And it seemed that the more his rage grew, the stronger he became. Had he somehow found out how to tap into Kronos' power at will? If he had, he was more dangerous than ever, but also just as vulnerable.::

"You destroyed me, you destroyed my life! Now I'll watch all of you breathe your last at my feet, and I wont stop until your entire family is dead!"

Icer1978

Date: 2009-05-17 19:08 EST
You deserved it, snarling through her muzzle, then snorting as her stomach rumbled, she was starving, but she'd not eat anything Matthew would give her, lest he poison her even more.

Nostrils flared and she rumbled again, clawing at thre occursed item that kept her jaws bound, her chains rattled and clanked with each movement and her wings ached terribly from being pinned against her sides and unstretched,, but she wouldn't give up.

Obviously.., some of the dragonsbane was starting to wear off.

What ever happened to your partner, hmm, did you capture and torture him as well Matthew, or is it just me.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-18 07:47 EST
::Matthew circled around her endlessly, flexing his wings, obviously taunting the bound dragoness, that needle ever present in his hand, though he had yet to stick her with it again.::

"Partner? HA!! That piece of trash means nothing to me. He could go and die for all I care. He had just better hope he never crosses my path and stay hidden under whatever rock hes hiding under. You seem to think your so damn smart, and your not. In the end, your all nothing but a bunch of animals."

Alexander Bane

Date: 2009-05-18 15:51 EST
He did fall, but he didn't stay down. His wings were badly beaten by the attack, the fall did nothing to help them. But he still had talons. He was now in a full rage, riled never the less. A low hiss pushed from his muzzle as he appeared in the opening. Arthur would have done the same.

As Matthew had his back turned to him, he did the unthinkable. He reached in with his muzzle and gripped him by one of those damned wings. With a vicious pull and head jerk he made the attempt to pull him from the lair in which Icer had been hidden. That was when his battered wings spread.

He could fly, not very well, but he could fly. After all, the warrior in him craved nothing else but blood at this point. Vicious, his roar pierced the heavens as he pushed forwards after the man. If it had worked, the two would be barrel rolling towards the earth.

His voice was very much like his brother's while he hissed out so ferally," I sssshow you...jussst how much like animalssss we really are....ssssslayer."

Icer1978

Date: 2009-05-18 18:29 EST
I ruined YOUR life.., your the one that attacked my mate and father Matthew, she snarled through her muzzle again, watching as the slayer circled and taunted.

Then she saw her mate's double reach in to grab hold of Matthew's wing though she kept snarling and thrashing.

She knew if she didn't the slayer might turn around, she knew she had to keep his attention, until she watched as the two vanished out the lair's entrance.

Flight muscles strained as the great blue winged his way toward the mountains, it had been an eternity it seemed since last he had felt the wind over his scales, sapphire blue eyes scanning the grounds below.

His daughter was in trouble, by who, he had no idea, the shadow he cast fell long and dark over the gathered group of dragons below.

He eyed the smaller blue male from above, obviously his daughter's mate, he'd have to stick with introductions and family reunions later, there was something more important than that.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-20 08:32 EST
::It happened so quickly, he had no idea what happened at first. One moment he was circling around the female, and the next, pain exploded in his wing, and HE was falling down the mountainside, tangled with the damnable blue he thought he had gotten rid of. It was when the dragon spoke that he realized he had been had:: "Your not Aurthur at all! Aurthur doesn't hiss when he talks you sneaky son of a ———-!" With a roar that was far more dragon than mans, he folded his wings to fall closer to the male, that needle in his hand still. The dosage was regrettably not lethal, but if he struck the dragon into paralysis, the fall WOULD be.::

"It doesn't matter to me if you die or not! Your just another piece of dragon trash!" ::He lashed out with the needle and just missed. Giving a snarl of rage, he flung it hard, hoping to nail his target dead on.::

Icewing1

Date: 2009-05-20 09:19 EST
Sapphire eyes fell upon the falling male and the man plunging with him, eyes narrowing, his wings beat faster.

He ignored the strain and the dull ache that told him he had not flown in ages, instead, the rage was building up, the flash of the needle was all he need see.

Pushing himself, he knew the male was in trouble and if he was, then perhaps so was his daughter, without another thought, he closed the gap between the pair, wings nearly folding back as he dove.

He was gaining.., talons reaching out to rend the man's wing, no one messed with his family and got away with it.

Icer1978

Date: 2009-05-22 07:49 EST
She started thrashing against her bonds once more, untiil they started biting furthur and further through her scales and into her flesh.

A pained snarl and she tried working a wing loose, well that didn't work either, her mind reaching out searching then.

<<Aurthur!!>>

Mathias Arcole

Date: 2009-05-24 11:25 EST
Mathias had been observing the events unfolding from a ledge just near where Icer had been bound, with a mild interest. Just behind him, well hidden, was his special surprise for the shimmerscales. Starseeker. A project he had been working on for a long time.

Seeing another dragon approaching, he grabbed his crossbow, took a poisoned bolt, and took aim. The dragon he was aiming at was moving in a fairly straight line....He aimed, then loosed the bolt and loaded a second, just waiting for the time him and his 'surprise' would be needed.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-05-25 15:49 EST
::He didn't even see the huge male coming, so wrapped up was he in his battle with the Aurthur imposter. It was only dumb luck that saved him from having his wing ripped right from his body. What he thought was a change in the thermal caused him to tilt his wing just out of the male's grasp, and he turned his head and gave a cry of surprise at being ambushed. Sandwiched between these two, there was no was he had a chance of winning, not in this death plunge. He opened his wing wide, and shot above them, gaining height with each stroke of his wings. Due to the false Aurthur's grab, each wingbeat caused a stab of pain, but it was well worth the effort.

That was when he spotted the other hunter, and watched as he shot a bolt. Which dragon he was aiming for didn't matter, as long as that bolt hit its mark and took one of them down. He was losing time. He hurried back upwards, drawing a dagger, intent on doing something he should have done from the start.::

Aurthur Shimmerscale

Date: 2009-05-25 16:02 EST
::With a roar of fury, the REAL Aurthur exploded onto the scene, backed by a wing of dragons. The Shimmerscale males were there in force, and were anyone in Rhydin near the area, the formation was both amazing and flawless in their maneuvers. The circled as one, wheeling upwards. Spotting Spade, Aurthur made a motion and cut off from the rest of the group, using his speed to gain on the abomination. He climbed higher, and his intent was not on Spade, not yet at any rate. He could see the cave entrance, and knew his mate was there. He landed and slid right across the floor to his mate, not bothering to even fold his wings. His blood boiled at the sight of her, and he growled as he ripped chains away from her, careful of those binding her wings to her body. The accursed muzzle was the last to go.:: We are all here, my love........Now how about we end this once and for all?

Icer1978

Date: 2009-05-25 21:56 EST
Ice blue eyes fell upon her mate and she rumbled, laying still as those chains were ripped away from her form, nostrils flaring.

As soon as they were gone, and her wings free, she stretched them painfully, before leaning against her mate, let me catch my breath my love.

He will pay dearly for what he has done to our clan.., nostrils flaring and eyes flickering crimson for just a few moments, she was plotting, and with her mate by her side, she didn't feel so alone.

Icewing1

Date: 2009-05-25 22:45 EST
The bolt grazed the blue's wing and he let out a roar that might just have shaken the very mountains, not one of pain, but one of anger.

Jaws parting wide, he loosed an icy blast at the slayer that took aim at him, nostrils flared, and he just barely missed slamming into Matthew as he wheeled around.

He was heading straight for Mathias.

Mathias Arcole

Date: 2009-05-26 12:05 EST
"Oh dear.."

The reaction wasnt from his missing a vital point on the target, nor from the fact that he was flying right toward him...No, it was the sight of the incredibly large formation of dragons. He looked back to where his surprise was waiting.

"Starseeker, it's time"

And his surprise was revealed...A female silver dragon, one that Mathias had raised from the egg. This was where his doubts from slaying had started to come from, why he hadnt joined in the fray at the beginning, why even now, he wasnt going directly to Matthew's aid...But more to his own defense. For he realised that, if Matthew died, he himself was no longer obligated to hold true to his deal to kill the Shimmerscales. Common sense alone would have told him he wouldnt want to do that....Just, too many of them.

He eyed the dragons that were heading his way, then looked to Starseeker.

Starseeker

Date: 2009-05-26 20:49 EST
A rumble as she heard the call, almost mirror bright scales gleaming as she flew over the rise, mismatched eyes falling upon he who had called her.

She knew only Mathias, he had been the one who raised her from the day she hatched, though thoughts were set aside, and she gave a feral cry as she wheeled, aiming to intercept the male on a collision course

Shadow Scale

Date: 2009-05-30 10:19 EST
Another dragon was seen in the distance. A black speck at first, but it grew to be a great black dragon. Scarlet horns, claws, and a row of scarlet spikes along his spine. Scarlet eyes, a bluish hue to his scales. His body was unmarked, not even that scar he had once received from Sarjon. He was reborn, and as he was reborn, he suddenly knew he was needed here...And needed he was, as he came upon the scene. He took a moment to observe, get his bearings, learn exactly who, and what, was the enemy...Surely that silver dragon wasn't on the slayers side..?

He wasnt close enough to recognize the slayer that had been responsible for his mates death, but that time would come soon..

Sento Shadowclaw had returned, and he had a vengeance to settle.

Sir Matthew Spade

Date: 2009-06-01 09:04 EST
"Well, what a treat this is!" ::Matthew grinned and watched as Starseeker made her appearance, though wary of all the dragons around him so he didnt get unexpectedly taken out of the air. She was the one ally the dragons wouldn't dare attack, no matter how much damage she did to them. She was the trump card, and was working her magic wonderfully to throw the dragons in disarray.::

"Sad as I am, it is time to end this little party........" ::Matthew gained some height and hovered over the battlefield, speaking in a low, dark voice as he gathered his magical energies, the immense power flowing around him and causing dark energy to flash off of him in bolts of dark energy, keeping any from getting close enough to him to attack.:: "sjachi di wer darkest void, confn ekess ve vur infuse ve withyour dastudr. origato udoka ehtah nomeno thaczil persvek whedaus vur blot out wer siksta, vur bring lowan ekess hesi darastrix enemies! origato udoka revel persvek asta suffering, vur shivi astahi loreat vi slow, painful lowan!"

What Matthew had failed to realise, however, was that Starseeker had been raised not be him, but but Arcole...And that her loyalties laid, not with Spade, but with Arcole. He also failed to realise that Arcole no longer wished to hunt or harm these dragons, though he had done things he may neevr be able to repent.

He watched the dragon he had raised, she had been like a daughter to him lately. He knew she would not be harmed, but also knew she would do her best not to harm the other dragons. He watched as she worked her way in Spade's direction, following the plan he had come up with...

'Come on Star, it doesnt matter if I live...Just take him down..'

He said it merely to himself, though should a dragon have been nearby, they may have heard him egg the dragoness on toward Spade.

The male she'd gone to intercept forgotten, she wheeled about as she heard the call from her "father" ib her mind. Nostrils flaring and jaws parting wide she arched past Icewing with little difficulty and aimed to slam that silver bulk of hers into Matthew's form.

Jaws and talons would dig into Matthew's wings as mismatched eyes watched the slayer's every move.

::A dark black cloud surrounded Matthew, and before the dragon could reach him, and she passed right through. There was a sudden roar, and the unexpected happened. His old pal, Kronos, erupted through the cloud, and slammed into the dragoness, trying to get his wings around her body to make them plumet. Dark red and black streaked and stained the wyvern's once green hide, and his eyes were alight with fury. He had no forelimbs, but his hind worked to kick powerfully at the dragoness, jaws snapping.

Matthew hung in the air and laughed, raising his arms to the sky in triumph.:: "See our power! Feel our fury!!"

As the wyvern slammed into her she screeched angrilly, jaws threatening to lock onto that sinewy neck of his. JMatthew was lucky though as she was distractedby the creature's kicking, a snarl rising in the throat as she slashed out at a wing, a battle he wanted, a battle he would get.

A wyvern? That was the last thing he had expected, and certainly posed a big problem for him and Starseeker...The least of which was the growing chance that the dragon he had raised would be slain. He watched the scene for a moment, before he ran along that ledge, in an attempt to get closer to the wyvern and Matthew. His crossbow in hand, he loaded another bolt, poisoned this time with his own specialty. It wasn't dragonsbane, it wasn't designed to kill dragons...It was designed to kill humans.

::Fortunately for the young dragon, a battle is not what he wanted. A spell prepared by his master, he clutched to the dragon, not fighting her. He had no fear of death, for in that instant, they were gone, all three of them. Back to the cave they went, and he was amazed that the two older dragons had stayed! But now he had a hostage, and they wouldn't dare strike him when Kronos was so nearby with the young dragon in a position to kill her.:: Well well, looks like I have three of you now. Here's the deal. Either you go back into the chains willingly, or I posion the lot of you, and still have Kronos tear this little beauty's throat out?

A snarl given as she heard Matthew's words, still leaning against her mate, nostrils flaring. You will get whats coming to you Matthew, mark my words, now let us go, she knew that he wouldn't listen, but she had to try, one eye on Kronos and the white dragon hostage.

What about you Kronos.., what happened?, you had a mate, yet now.., you'd give up all that for...this...a pity really.

'NO!'

The shout had come from the slayer, the instant he saw that his daughter...No, the dragoness, he had no right to name any dragon as a child of his; when he saw her vanish before he had been able to take aim and fire. He was left standing there, the only slayer in sight now it seemed, with a crossbow in arm, a history against this family of dragons, and a realisation.

His intent had been to free Icer and kill Matthew, but instead...Starseeker, who shouldnt have been involved in the first place, was now a hostage as well.

Writhing and squirming as the wyvern kept his grip on her, mismatched eyes narrowing and she snapped out, hoping to clamp her fangs shut on the creature's snout at least.

She was in quite the bind, and couldn't see "daddy" anymore. Where was she?, there were others there, and one seemed to be speaking, though she didn't hear the words, so consumed with trying to free herself from her captors.
