He stood on the dock the Kuru normally took berth in when the ship set into Cisroe and looked to Kitian and Karenthesis in turn. He had all of his belongings with him, though it was easy when one had a bag of holding. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary save for the look on his face.

"I want to thank you both for letting me use this opportunity to get the hell out of the funk I was in." Luse was never one for thanks and pleasantries but it had meant a lot to him to be able to get out of Rhydin for a while, so he felt obligated.

Kitian smiled at him, though a tinge of disappointment graced her soft features. "Ye know, Luse, ye're always welcome back if the mood takes ye again?"

"I know," he responded,?"but there are things I need to help with back home. Besides, Kar'll finally have time to stow away women in his room again." He semi-smiled at Karenthesis, knowing full well the young man would miss him. However, he wouldn't miss not having the extra room Luse's leaving the ship afforded him.

"I might take you up on the offer again?never know what?ll happen. But right now, I have my place and unfortunately, it's not on your ship, Captain."

Kit chuckled a bit at the formality and nodded. "We all have to do what we need to, Luse."

"Yeah."

There was a moment of uncomfortable silence and Luse broke it with the inevitable. "Well, good bye and thanks again. I mean it." He shook Karenthesis hand. "Guess I have to come back sometime so you can win your money back, huh?" Luse accompanied this with a heh. Karenthesis smirked but took it in the humor it was intended. "You're a cheater, Luse. And one of these days, I'm going to catch you at it." Luse shook his hand and chuckled. "Never."

He released Kar's hand and smiled to Kit. "Watch him, huh' He has a good head on him and I don't want my influence rubbing off on him." Kit smiled and hugged him tightly. "Ye take care of yourself, Luse."

"You too, Captain. Look me up, the both of you." He semi-smiled as he returned the hug. ?"You ever need help, you know where I am. Don't hesitate to ask."

He released her and nodded to them both. "Well?? He left it at that and turned, walking up the dock to the Albaelia's castle.

He came out of the portal and was again in Rhydin. Back, as it were.

He needed to re-connect, get his information straight and get back into a routine. His last few visits on leave here gave him a sense of urgency that he hadn't really picked up prior to last month or so. Some things were up. He aimed to find out what they were and take care of them.

There would need to be a trip to the House to talk to Lankyn. He owed the man, at least, the courtesy of knowing he was around again and able to help. That was simply how it worked. He had a feeling that Lankyn already had work for him, had never stopped having work for him to do, saving up all of those problems that required Luse, like he never realized Luse had left in the first place. Luse knew better, though. Lankyn knew he would be back and ready to go. And a refreshed Luse was now more than happy to oblige.
