That sick bugger had pulled a switch on her. Tasha was still more then a little miffed about that and just stalked across the walk towards Onyx House. Stopping, she tried to shake the anger away. She was more then a little aware she had totally messed up this time.

Everyone in the family that knew wasn't happy about the deal she had made. Didn't matter that it had been for a good cause. Tasha had tried to keep those she cared about safe, but realizing just how empty her efforts had been, she felt trapped. Icer hadn't even attacked him to make that agreement null and void, but that. . . . that . . . Rat, Veighn pulled a bait and flip. All so very carefully worded and designed to keep her jumping through his hoops. Knowing Veighn he likely expected it to last for an eternity. Tasha on the other hand had other plans regarding that.

His latest demand was to be allowed to stay at Onyx House as a guest, so here she was staring at the front door with a sense of dread. Tasha didn't really want to ask her Da for this. She suspected that the "Black Mage" was up to no good. However, Icer was in no condition to fight back against Veighn. She hadn't faired to well the last time when the Dragon hadn't been laden with eggs. At the time, if Tasha hadn't interfered it would have ended badly and not in Icer's favor.

Chewing on her lip she started to walk, trying to work off the swelling of energy assailing her. The anger just radiating from her and Tasha didn't want to speak to her Father while in this state. Circling around to the back of the imposing Manor house, she was soon traveling through its shadow, bypassing the gardens and stepping back into the bright spring sunlight.

She followed the path along through the myriad of oak, ash and pine towards the sound of the sea crashing against the cliff face below. Some times she would stand here and contemplate. It usually served as a good place to work through various problems. This day she paused and pondered her options and none looked good.

Glaring down at the deep scar in her hand, the rune mocking in her mind and small fingers curled around it. She might not be powerful enough now to get payback, but one day. Oh yes, one day that mage would turn around and she would be standing there with revenge in mind. The last time Tasha had made such a promise, it had resulted in three long hard years but the end result had been successful. She still had Vincent's feeders to prove it.

Few knew just how vicious Tasha could be. She knew she was little more then a tool to be used by that damned mage. Just a pawn in some grander game, and she didn't like it. If nothing else, she would find a way to extract her own form of brutal vengence and most certainly when he would least expect it. Veighn thought her stupid, foolish even and that would be one of the biggest mistakes he had made.

Over the years many had made the blunder of underestimating her. Tasha would continue to let him do that, as she could act the part of scattered. She knew how to play that role with efficiency and would keep it up, all the while looking for his weaknesses. Everyone had them, trick was in discovering it and if nothing else, she did see more then most. Perception was one advantage she fully intended to use.

Until that time however, she would dance to his tune or at least appear to be doing it. He wanted to stay in Onyx eh' Well, she hoped he was prepared for it. He was so confident he knew everything. Perhaps letting him deal face to face with her Da might be just what he needed. Though, Tasha fully believed Veighn had "no" idea what he was getting himself into. However, she saw little reason to warn him now. Indeed, the deeper the hole he made for himself all the better for her.

Taking a deep calming breath, she pushed the wind tossed hair from her dark violet eyes and turned back towards the house. Time to seek out her Da and tell him about this latest demand. No, she wasn't looking forward to this duty at all, but knowing her father, he would find a way to use it to his own advantage, and if so, she would be just as pleased as she could be.

Minutes later she slipped into the kitchen door. Hearing the curious sound of voices echoing where just a few months before one found silence. Down the hall she wandered only to pause and peek inside Indigo's office, but she wasn't at her desk, so Tasha just moved towards her father's office door. Offering a knock, she pushed it open and poked her silvery head inside. Somber eyes finding her father and she forced a smile to her elfin face. "Hi Da. Got a moment' Need to talk to you about something."

Corwyn looks to the doorway with a warm smile for his daughter.

Corwyn has been informed of all activity surrounding the House and the Family, if not from Belial or Indigo, then from Treveinor, his most trusted of advisors and his right hand. He knows about Ana's association with the one named Veighn Yhaull but makes no presumptions. Ana is a rambunctious child with many distractions. His door is always open to her for any reason, including a casual father/daughter chat. He can hope that this is what has brought her to him today, but the look on her face and the somberness of her eyes leaves little doubt: she is here on Family business.

For many years, most of their childhood, Ana and her sister, had not known him as their father, only as their presumed father's enemy. It had pained him to allow this lie to be perpetuated, but it had also been necessity. The prophecies were rigid and far too well known; he knew what would become of them should his real enemies discover the truth. Those days are long past, and his relationship with Ana has grown substantially.

He could but wish for the same with his eldest daughter. For now however she is lost in a void and all efforts to find her have been fruitless. They have not given up nor will they until she too is returned to the fold.

Corwyn may not be able to undo the damage wrought by the necromancer Khorathil, the vile creature who'd called himself their father first. But now he will do all within his power to insure his daughter's continued safety and growth. He had begun by killing Khorathil and keeping his soul very close; in a jar inside his desk.

The Prophecies will be fulfilled but those who seek to exploit them will meet the same fate as necromancer who had sought to abuse their powers.

He lifts a hand to wave Ana inside as he leans back in the comfort of his chair. He is perceptibly happy to see her and welcomes this opportunity. Few ever see him at such ease.

"Ana to what do I owe this pleasure?"

Unsure of yourself You stand divided now Which hole will lead you there? Last time you fell and you hit hard Your wounds have healed by now But you still see your scars yeah

But it's not the way it use to be right now You come so far to just let this go my friend Don't go out the same way you did the last time You'll break when you fall Don't make the same mistakes you did all over 3 Doors Down - This Time

"I wish it was a pleasure but fact is Da, I got problems. That mage, well he pulled a fast one on me. Seems he wants to stay here as a guest. Unfettered and unguarded." A sigh as Tasha sank down into the chair he offered and looked at her father somberly. "If he doesn't get it he is going to kill Icer. She can't even defend herself right now because she's heavy with eggs."

Tasha knew direct and up front was best here. Her father would understand that and unlike that bloody ass of a mage, she wasn't very good at fabrications and lies. "He wants free run of all Blood Properties, but I told him he had to speak with you first. Honestly Da, I don't trust him. Don't much like him and ain't none to happy with this stupid deal I made."

A morose sigh fell as she looked down at the dusty toes of her boots. "Didn't think he would change the deal either. Just wanted to keep those I care about safe, maybe pick up a few new spells. Thing is Da, that one plays mind games. Don't think I will ever do anything this stupid again."

Dragging the silvery fall of hair out of her eyes she glanced up towards her father, eyes a dark somber violet shade. "I will understand if you say no. Heck, I warned him already that many wouldn't like this. I just know he will kill my dragon friend and I didn't want that."

Corwyn listens to what Ana has to say, nodding as she speaks. He has no intentions of telling her no. Quick of mind, he's already made his decision on how this situation will be dealt with.

Yes, he's heard of Icer, a Dragon with ties to Daugolozan and knows that Ana has befriended the lady. He's also reassured by her statement and glad to hear she's learned a lesson from her situation. He isn't happy by the mark she currently bears but this too can be handled.

"Ana, have no worry, I shall be happy to meet with this mage and discuss his potential access to our home. However, you will not be carrying this information to him. I would request that you keep away from him if you can. I shall send Belial to make our offer. It is wisest if you leave the bargaining to us, daughter. He may not like what he hears, and I would rather he not have access to punish you.

"In the meantime, I ask that you speak to the House Mages about getting that mark of his removed. They may not have an answer, but there is no harm in looking in to it.

"As for your friend, Icer, perhaps you would like to place her under Blood protection' It may not mean much to this mage, but should he do her harm, he will be forced to face our wrath. I think Trev, Luc and Luse are spoiling to spill some blood." Corwyn chuckles softly in amusement, "I have kept them leashed too long I think. It will be a warm up for what?s to come, yes?"

His last comment is not about the mage in question; it is about trouble brewing with DCH. Soon enough, war will come, in the meantime, why not allow the boys" a little fun"

Oh she heard her Da all right. In fact that was her goal these days anyway. She had been tricked and got angrier every time she thought about it. It wasn't as if Icer had attacked the Mage. No, she had an accident with the Nexus Storm that had dropped her on top of him. There was a huge difference but the "Black Wizard" had used it to his own advantage and twisted the deal Tasha had made. Now she suspected he was just looking to do that again. Hence she had made that decision already to stay out of his way. "I have a few places I can stay right now Da, so no trouble there. As for avoiding him, already planned to do that."

"This mark here tho, means he can get at me when ever her wants. You know, like inflict pain, torture, that sort of thing Da. So if the House Mages can find some way to short circuit that I would feel a lot better." Typically, Tasha avoided those. She didn't like being poked at or prodded. Nor did she care for some of the magics they used. Made her twitchy really. This time, she really had little choice.

"I will speak with Icer and see if she is willing for us to put her under out protections too. With her being heavy with a clutch, I am hoping she accepts it. I will let you know tho either way." Her silvery head bobbed with the angel fine strands floating about her elfin face as she gazed at him.

"I don't know about Wylde, but I am pretty sure Luse and Luc wouldn't mind dealing with that mage if needed. I mean Luc's already kind of furious about. . " She looked down at her ruined palm and sighed. "This, and when Luse finds out, I kind of think he might still do something. You know how he is. Even Talomar wasn't happy, but at least he doesn't growl at me about it. Said he would try to find out a way to remove it also."

Tasha was welcoming any help on that score, thinking if she didn't, she would be stuck and tied to that bloody mage for the rest of her days, and that was worse then other things she had to deal with over the years. She would rather Simon come back then be tied to that mage forever. Which said a lot. For as much as she once loved that Demon Lord, she hated him just as passionately now.

Her father just smiled in that curious way of his and nodded, but didn't look at all put out by what she said. Seemed to expect she believed, as many of the family were a little aggressive on a normal day already. "I really am sorry about all this mess Da. I made that deal thinking it would help to avoid it, but it's only made things worse. It's like he can now hold ever one I listed as Hostage."

"Anyway, going to go and consult those Mages now." Tasha rose and leaned to give her father a warm kiss on the cheek and a hug before heading for the door. Glancing back with another slanting of dark violet eyes. "Thanks Da for everything."
