Topic: Kidnapping of Tass

Mr. Howe

Howe and Dewey come sauntering down the street heading in the direction of the inn. Howe's expression is thunderous and angry as he speaks in low tones to his partner. "Impotent. *Impotent*! That is the exact word, Dewey. We have to *do* something. And I mean something *big*!"

Elessaria stands outside on the porch of the Red Dragon Inn, her fingertips picking idly at the railing, but her gaze swiftly moves to the arriving pair of men.

In the doorway of the inn, Kina Kitty impishly grabs her mate and gives him a sexy kiss, before running to the carriage. Her mate, Falcon chuckles, and heads out behind her, a big grin on his face as he lets the door slip out of his hand and shut behind them.

The silver wolf's head cane tapped along the roughened cobbles, Dewey nodding his head at his partner's rising rage. One hand lifted, fingers stroked along the thick salt and pepper mustache, his voice holding a gruesome edge. "I agree, partner. Something most emphatic must be done. We must show our hand so there is no mistake what we hold."

Elessaria arches a delicate golden brow, recognizing the foul aura she senses even through her shields....the flames flickering reflexively deep within her eyes.

Shea's walk had ended up here before the Red Dragon. She shifted her hands through her hair pushing the green hood of her cloak as jade hues took in the inn light and finely tuned Elven ears took in the hum of the commons beyond.

"And soon enough..." The senior partner's, Dewey, voice lowers for his fellow partner to hear alone. "We will have all we need to do whatever, whenever we wish with this blasted realm and those beyond."

Shea looks around, noticing that there are patrons out front and upon the porch, jade hues looked past them as she makes her way up the porch stairs.

Elessaria steps back slightly, her head canting as a vague uneasiness shivers down her spine.

"Yes!" Howe hisses in response. In his opinion, it is about time too. They've let the locals get the best of them long enough. Pay back time! And he knows just where to begin. His voice is a low sibilant sound, meant to be kept from prying ears. "I have an idea, partner. If you are willing to hear the deal, I can set things up for Sunday."

The gleeful gleam in Howe's beady eyes should be enough to clue Dewey in; it's a dozy alright, and Dewey may find it right up their alley.

"Don't want to say too much." Beady eyes dart around before landing once more on his partner. "Big ears, big eyes, they are all around."

Shea gives the door a nudge and slips inside, occupied with her thoughts and paying no heed to the drama unfolding out front.

Elessaria wrinkles her delicate nose just slightly in distaste while continuing to eavesdrop on the hatful pair.

"I am most willing and anxious to hear your words on this deal, Screwham. And, yes, you are most right. This bloody burg has far too many nosy inhabitants." Dewey comments in response to his partner. If anyone can tell it would be Howe, the closest to Dewey of the three. Dewey's eyes radiated a red glow briefly, a sure sign that the whole of the situation is definitely getting to him.

Howe pauses, lifting his head as an animal might to scent their territory. And there on the wind, what do you know" Elf on the porch! Howe's smile twists in to a hate-filled smirk as he notches his head in the direction of the inn. "You smell that, partner??

Fingers slip from atop the silver wolf's head of Dewey's cane. If anyone were to take notice they might detect slight movement of the small form, a flaring of shiny nostrils. "Ah, yes." The glee is apparent in the cruel smile and crinkling around dark brown eyes. "Most fortuitous, Screwham, would you not say?"

"Wait, wait..." Howe's soft hiss of words aimed more for himself than anyone before he turns to speak more loudly to Dewey. "Yes, yes, this should prove a most enjoyable evening, Mr. Dewey. TrueBloods ahead and something weak but achingly familiar: I do appreciate the stench of weakness on the cool night air, don't you, Mr. Dewey' Perhaps we can take advantage?"

Elessaria straightens imperceptibly, the fine Elven silks whispering with the chill that seemed to come to the air.

Dark laughter chills the night. "One of my most favorite things, partner, I see opportunity. And it is definitely tainted with familiarity. Perhaps two birds with one stone?"

Elessaria turns on her bare foot and pushes open the door to the Inn, the flames flaring briefly in her eyes as she narrows her gaze at the pair before vanishing inside.

"Oh, indeed, Mr. Dewey, so do I!" There is an actual spring to Howe's steps, bringing the pair of them closer and closer still towards the inn.

As they near the RDI, Howe calls out in a sing-song voice. "Come out, come out wherever you are. We can smell you little elfing."

But the Elf has made her escape. "Oh, drat!" Howe curses, "Lost that fish. Hmph!"

"I think the lady has a problem with us, Screwham." A sharp cackle as Eless winds her way inside and the cane's end hits to the bottom porch step.

"And I so wanted to play!" Howe states while pouting over the missed opportunity. With a mercurial shift of his mood, he smirks over to his partner he continues, "Well, if nothing else the masses hate us enough to avoid us. Guess that's something."

"Later, partner: All things in time." A cruel grin and Dewey pats Howe's shoulder. "Other things of greater amusement await."

Panther slips from the shadows surrounding the Inn, like a spill of ink across a table. He steps across the ring of light cast by the lamps on the porch as he approaches the steps.

Howe nods to Dewey's comment as he makes his way up the steps to the porch. "Yes, but we've wasted enough time. I want to take the gloves off and kick 'em where it counts!"

Panther slowly takes the steps, moving up on to the porch and then pausing. He looks forward, as if studying the front door.

"Perhaps tonight will see some of that come true, partner." Dewey states moving towards the door with a nod to Panther as he pushes it open.

Howe stops at the door, beady eyes on the bouncer as Guido takes hold of the handle in preparation of opening it. "We don't need your services tonight, Goon. We can open the door ourselves!" Howe snaps before glancing over at Panther as the *creature* passes by them. A low growl over to Dewey Howe hisses, "Let's start with him!"

Mr. Howe

Date: 2007-05-30 19:58 EST
Panther turns and moves down the porch to the side window. Ears turned back slightly as he reaches out and presses a palm to the pane of glass.

"I think we should blow him up! Little pieces raining down from the sky: such a pretty picture." Howe continues while beady eyes watch the odd behavior of the inn's current owner.

With the door's opening warm brown eyes course through the glimpse of the commons, a chill smile rising on Dewey's lips, twitching his thick mustache. "Oh, I don't know, partner." A nod directed inside the inn. "I think something else seems much more pleasant a prize."

Icer's attention snaps toward Dewy as he stepped inside, and ears immediately flatten against her head.

Howe's beady gaze follows Dewey as directed and the smile returns to thin, cruel lips. "Oh, yes! Indeed a much better prize, partner. Oh, it's good to be us tonight!" his voice more than a little gleeful.

Elessaria is sharing conversation with Luse inside the inn, she nods distractedly in response to Luse's greeting....She recognizes Howe, but not the other creature with him.

"Is it not, indeed." A pleasant enough smile to the ice dragon, head bowing so Dewey can whisper low to his partner alone, "A pretty mantle artwork that head would make."

Tasslehofl's head shifted towards the door, in what could be considered a lazy move, and gazed at the two who entered.

Cie glances over a shoulder towards the door that seemed to have captured a few of her friends sudden and tense attention and a faint curl of her lips followed with a taint of distaste apparent. In a very soft whisper "Luse....Door."

Howe only has eyes for Tasslehofl.

Elessaria senses another aura through the thrumming, only because it was so familiar to her.

Panther moves back to the front door, catching it before it can swing shut. A light push and he moves inside as well....then just off to the side.

"Sorry. How..." Luse catches Cie's warning and turns his gaze to the door. His conversation with Eless interrupted.

Icer heard Dewey, and gave a hiss, nostrils flaring anew.

Jade Rogue looks to Dewey and Howe in disgust as she leans on her sister Icer. She too hisses at the pair as they pass.

Howe gives Dewey a somewhat vague nod, to let his partner know he's been heard but those beady eyes will not stray from the Ancient sitting all too quietly on the sofa by the hearth. Yes, it really does feel good to be him tonight!

Any looking at Howe can tell those mental wheels are turning, and fast.

Inside, the night air is such that Dewey is only dressed in muted plum silk of Italian design. No need to remove cloak or coat. Keeping the cane to hand he steps through the door and down into the commons. "My, my. Seems business is a bit off."

Tasslehofl allows a smile to touch his lips, twisted enough to resemble a snarl, warm enough to freeze hell.

Luse assumes that Cie meant the arrival of the leathery skinned duo instead of Panther. The Blood offers a nod to Panther, nonetheless.

It was the reptilian pair indeed that Cie was giving warning about; unless Luse had some unknown issue with Panther. But if that was the case she was unaware and just shifted to keep the snaky pair under her cautious watch.

Mr. Howe

Howe's tongue flicks out over thin lips much like a snake's might as he begins to stalk his way hearth-wards. He doesn't care if the Dragon goes bankrupt, in fact, should that happen, it would suit him quite fine.

Panther moves to a nearby support post and takes up a casual lean, simply watching for now.

Icer rises, muscles twitching as she moves to cut off Howe that snarl still on her snout.

And then Luse's gaze moves to the pair of luggage, (the two snakes from DCH.)

Mr. Dewey grants a kindly smile to the DeAuster brat and the Blood, kind like a jackal. The cane taps along floorboards in his partner's wake.

Tasslehofl's voice came quietly, but that power was still there in it. "Rest easy Icer....this meeting has been long in coming."

Luse pauses and thinks, not a strong suit, indeed, but he had his ways.

Elessaria, the Elven empathy, is unable to keep a shudder from coursing through her.

Luse leans into Cie.

Dewey slices across the air in front of Icer's snout, "Be gone, dragon-kind, before I decide to redecorate my office, starting with your head on my wall!"

Not that Howe's bothering with thoughts about the Red Dragon Inn right now. Howe is utterly focused on one thing: Tass. Already he's begun building his power. Of course, Dewey can tell, because Howe is pulling from the Triumvirate as well. He will need it to do what he's about to do.

Cie didn't deign to return the smile in kind, rather unlike her as manners were usually inherent. She did manage to send a quick smile and nod to Panther, aware of him having also arrived at what was proving to be a rather opportune moment.

"If things go down...what kind of healing do you have?" Luse quietly asks of Cie.

A disdainful snort given then as Icer eyed the two.

Panther closes his eyes for a moment and takes in a slow, deep breath.

Elessaria is willing to betray her identity to help friends. "She can have mine, Luse..." She offers.

Cieara's eyes widened a bit but she twisted lightly to draw out several vials of healing elixirs", that Luse would know were most effective and handed him a few before slipping the rest out of sight. Her tension now drawing another hissing from the dagger at her side, fully awake Vestia was.

"Heh." Luse quips, "Was talking about how much she could heal me...?

The silk of Dewey's suit ripples with the energy building in him and his partner. Dark brown eyes traveling over to Elessaria for a moment, a roam over the lady's figure with a lewdness that can be felt before he returns attentions to the elder and Howe.

Tass pushed himself and stood. Strength flood into him, and stayed where he was, showing nothing but the man before them.

"She gets into it; I might as well be dead. Her dad's assuming she isn't here." Luse complains about Cie's presence in the inn tonight.

Icer is as stubborn as ever, she remains where she stood, not heeding Tass" advice to back down.

Panther lets out the breath as he opens his eyes, pushing from the post and turning towards the bar.

"Icer, it's cool." Luse reassures.

A bit of temper touched Cie's eyes, as Luse just had to keep reminding her she was displeasing her father, who wanted her to stay away from one enticing Mage, but as he hasn't ordered it. She wasn't going to do what was wanted and the more they pushed the more determined she was becoming.

"One fight tonight is enough, right?" Luse asks of no one in particular.

Elessaria mutters something rather unladylike under her breath.

Howe doesn't seem to notice the attention he's attracting. Instead he continues to close on Tass, pausing only a few feet behind the Ancient. In a very soft whisper he hisses at the Dragon, "Well, well, well, don't you look like you've been dragged through it' So sad for you, eh?" His laugh is cold, cruel and evilly amused.

Luse is thinking exactly the opposite but hoping the demure dragon, Icer, is a bit less vengeful than he.

Blinking, Icer nods as she moves back toward Luse and Cieara.

Elessaria toys with the idea of tossing Reap into the path....take the drunk and leave the dragon! Just for fun!

Jade hisses terribly through coughs which bubbled out, as her jade green eyes turned crimson. She hated only watching!

Tasslehofl: "Looks are often deceiving?" Tass quips in response to Howe's taunts, "as for me being through it' At least I can wash it off" What is your excuse?"

Without a glance to the crowd near the hearth Panther moves to the bar and slips around the end of it.

Howe can feel the surge of power in the Dragon, but he also senses the truth. Something momentous has weakened Tass tonight. Howe knows this is their only chance. He has no choice but to risk it.

The door opened, as Brian quietly made his way inside the Inn. Spectacled blues glanced about the gathered a bit, as he slid off his jacket and offered a nod to Guido. Black leather gloves were slid off, as he in turn made his way towards the bar, a polite nod offered to those as he happened to pass.

A soothing hand fell to rest on Icer's neck as Cieara glanced over at the pair and then leaned to whisper softly to Luse. "He was nae doing well earlier after speaking with Chryrie. I fear the man be in danger and mayhaps due to aiding Kitty."

Reap fist baps Brian as he passed.

"A most opportune moment, Screwham. I can think one who would be beside themselves if we get what we wish tonight. And, as a bonus, one down." Dewey's hand against Howe's shoulder surges with the power of the Triumvirate. His voice a low hiss, "Now or never."

Brian fist baps Reap in response, before moving along his way.

Muscles still tensed, though Icer just watched for now.

"The fact that you're telling me this means I'm going to have to do something very stupid..." whispers Luse to Cie.

Panther glances to Reap as he scoops up a mug, "You could always do some dishes..."

Reap glances over his shoulder to Panther. "You could always hire more bartenders."

Luse grits his teeth, then suddenly stands, shouting out "TASS!"

Icer whispers very softly to Cieara and Luse, "He's my brother as well..."

"You're a liar and a thief!" Luse continues, moving towards Tass.

Cor was whistling as he ascended the steps to the Inn. He was dressed comfortably in a pair of beige sweatpants and a plain red tee shirt and a faint sheen of sweat covered his brow, and as he had no pockets, one hand was swinging free while the other went up to push the door open. And as he did he tensed up as he felt all the power surging in the various individuals. No specifics, but the hair on his neck wanted to stand on end. He paused just inside the doorway and glanced at the patrons.

Elessaria winces hearing Luse.

"That potion you told me would have Kitty up and going is a fake!" Luse declares.

Cieara winces at the sudden loud shout from Luse, right near her ear it was and she then blinked a bit at Luse's remarks and twisted to look over at Tass, as that was apparently the man's name with a bit of concern she was quick to hide on ivory pale features.

A hard frown hit Tass" face, and he looked, but for a moment, over to the one who was yelling him.

"Keeping the power in reserve, huh?" Luse keeps pushing.

Brian offered a nod to Cor, upon his entrance.

"Trying to fleece these two....uh, old guys?? Luse knocks his head in the direction of the two snakes, coming to a stop near Tass.

Mr. Howe

Cie manages a nod to Brian, but her gloved fingers curl lightly against Icer's neck, as if to keep her still and not launch herself at one of the reptilian lawyers.

"Ah, yes, let's bring in the long-eared murderer. Two for one." Dewey's words still for his partner alone while eyeing Luse's approach.

Muscles still tense as Icer forces herself to remain beside Cieara and the coughing Jadey.

Before any can react fast enough to stop Howe the spell is cast: an invisible net that's aimed to surround the weakened Tass. Not only is it a prison of sorts, its fashioned to suck the magic right out of the Ancient beast. Howe doesn't know if this will work, but forced to think proverbially on his feet, he grabs at that which is most familiar. This is a spell they've used many times to entrap magical beasties. He can only hope that, in his current state, Tass will not be able to break these bonds.

Jade shoos a wave at Brian as she gives him a nod for him to look the way of Tass, Howe and Dewey.

There, a lip curled, and then a flash of that which was within. That of Tass" truth overshadowed himself.

A warm smile offered to the Lady DeAuster, as Brian made his way towards her, Icer and Jade.

Elessaria's eyes narrow, shifting her slight weight from one bare foot to the other as she asks, "Who are they?"

The black threads that were bound in Tass" eyes flared for a moment, slamming out and around him, wrapping through the powers that assailed him. Much like tar, it continued to move, sticking, hording.

Brian caught the signal from Jade, and watched the elder and pair of ambulance chasers with some interest.

Gabriel looked up and saw Brian he didn't do anything but he stayed right where he was.

"Who are who?" a glance to Eless as Panther turns around.

"Two of DCH." the word holding a wealth of disgust as Cie replied to Eless in a soft whisper.

Howe intensifies the power on the spell, feeding it more and more. If he can hold out against Tass' rally, they will win!

Elessaria gestures to the pair of ishy creatures confronting Tass in response to Panther's question.

"Icer, Jade, Lady DeAuster....something new going on?" Brian asks softly of the three.

Luse humphs as his ploy seems to fail.

Jade jumps up. "Icer...."

Luse decides its time for a change of plans.

Corlanthis spotted Reap and Brian and nodded at them as he began moving barwards, eyes and ears open, and not seeing anything outwardly suspicious, but senses he'd long ago left to his past blaring out and informing him that events of some import were being conducted at that moment.

Elessaria shudders. "Remind me never to wear this gown again...?

Howe isn't paying Luse any mind at all. Instead his focus remains fixed on the Ancient Dragon, Tass.

That image...That truth of Tass...That truth of "dragon" slammed, railed against the bounds, cracking them, unwinding them.

Reap upnods to Cor before taking a sip of ale.

Luse walks up to the concentrating Howe and flicks him right between the eyes.

Mr. Howe

"I believe those two Reptilian bags of suits be threatening the man there. Tass I think be his name." Cieara replied quietly to Brian, keeping a cautious and concerned eye upon Luse now.

"Couple of leeches..." Panther quips then lifts the mug for a drink.

"Oh really' The legal eagles?" Brian asks.

And Luse continues to flick, giving a glare to Dewey.

Feeding the spell through their innate connection, Dewey rallies towards Luse with a slice of the cane in the air before him. "This concerns you and the Bloods not. Not yet."

"I might go see if they wished a drink....but that would almost be like working." Panther mutters.

"Two on one" Interesting." Brian notes.

"OUCH!" The spell on Tass flickers and begins to die out as Luse distracts Howe. "How dare you?"!" With a wave of his hand, Luse feels the sudden pulse of pressure, meant to push him hard away.

Roaring then, Icer charged, her horn aimed right for Howe's back as he fed the spell against her brother.

"I'm not touching him!" Luse responds before he goes sailing.

Elessaria looks to Panther. "I'd rather serve brale to this one and Baker..." a scrunching up of her nose as she gestures at Reap. "Than be near those two!"

Tass" threads filtered into those cracks that were created; weaving into them, the tar sticking to each assaulting thread.

"Bar brawl?" Brian quips with a hopeful glance about.

Reap waves the offer of brale away.

"And there goes Icer.." Brian remarks.

Luse lands on the wooden floor a good three yards away.

Then, it seemed almost as if something snapped. The image was gone...The tar unwound....and the staff....Tass" staff....the ironwood of ages" broke.

"There goes my chair budget for the month." Panther gripes.

Cieara felt the bunching of muscles just before Icer charged and could do nothing about it, just rise to her feet with a light rattle of plate and moved towards Luse instantly.

"Not so fast..." Dewey barks, turning a glare of red eyes on Tass as his partner is distracted. The pull of darkness rises about Dewey, pushed outward to strengthen the spell already woven.

Mr. Howe

Date: 2007-06-02 22:36 EST
Howe's attention snaps back to the spell, and the power he unleashes is intense. The longer they have to pull from the ley lines, the stronger the Triumvirate becomes. The pair of them are much like manna-sucking sponges. And all that power goes in to restraining and imprisoning the Ancient Dragon, Tass.

Tasslehofl's head raised, and those pitch eyes looked deep into Howe's.

"I was going to suggest to thee buying new ones to update the decor a bit anyhow..." Eless teases Panther.

Jade sits back onto her barstool weakly nodding to Brian....she wanted to help her sister....but why was Jade so weak"

Then" Tass smiled.

And out of nowhere Howe is speared in the back by a Dragon horn!

A wince watching Luse fly, and truth be told he was rather impressed a bit at Cieara's response time, and just like that with no word, Brian followed Icer as she charged ahead, a chair grabbed along the way in response to a chair budget comment.

With his hand to the middle of the wolf's head cane, Dewey summons forth the beast. The silver animal is struck out towards Icer's attack, silver teeth opening to snatch a bit of flesh.

"Damn, that hurts!" Howe curses. The spell falls on Dewey now, as Howe must gain his freedom from the freaking brethren of the Ancient, one known as Icer. Oh, and he will remember her well!

Snarling, Icer threw her head back, tossing Howe at his partner as if he were a rag doll.

No sooner did that smile break than Tass did. His knee buckled and one hand went down, trying to catch himself.

Reap waits and waits on a lady's reply, oblivious to the confrontations happening in the inn around him. He goes back to sipping on his ale as if it is any other night in the Dragon.

Luse lies there on the ground for a couple of minutes.

Using a nearby chair to vault ahead of the ice dragon, Brian took the brunt of the wolf's attack, the silver teeth shattering the chair, and sending him sliding into a nearby table.

Howe flies over Dewey, intentionally missing his partner as he takes control of his unexpected flight. "Oh, you are going to pay for that, dragon meat!" He vows loudly.

Luse looks up into the rafters.

Cor nodded at Reap once again and noting the others leaping to attack, Cor left them to it and went to assist Tass. He'd move over and kneel beside the man, attempting to get one of Tass' arms up around his shoulder.

Leaning down to Luse, Cie was checking for anything broken and supporting him to help him back up, aware he had the air knocked clean out of him. "Uncle Luse?"

Mr. Howe

Date: 2007-06-02 22:39 EST
"'less" A step to your right please....?" Panther asks Eless.

A severe shake of his head a bit, as a grimace formed on Brian's face. Slowly he rose to his knee and offered a faint smirk. "I need to take that to Jewell's wedding...No one will top that."

Nostrils flared and Icer's eyes flickered a moment, the tip of her tail lashing behind her.

Reap watches Cor go be all helpful. Figures he'll be the next to get a horn in the back.

Lusiphur Blood: "I told you it was stupid." Luse says to Cie.

Elessaria edges slightly back until she could feel the familiar wood of the bar against her back, finding it very uncomfortable being empathic at the moment and then steps slightly to the left, taking two steps to the right.

An empty mug is plucked from the top of the bar and a side-arm toss sends it across the room towards Dewey. Panther's aim is right on.

Turning back to the weakening Tass, Dewey weaves through the power of the ley lines, tightening the web already woven. Pulling in the catch, so to speak. "It is on the boat, Howe!"

Reap sips his ale, watching all the" whatever it was going on. Lawyers vs. the dragons"

Shaking it off, Jade jumped and sank her fangs into Dewey's neck.

Luse sits up and eyes the attention the lawyers are getting.

Jaws parting, Icer sent a blast of icefire Howe's direction.

Quickly Brian tried to gauge the opposition a moment, and stood upright once more, before walking calmly towards the pair of lawyers, and Icer.

Howe spins about coming to land behind Dewey, reaching out to grab hold of his partner's shoulder. (Much as Dewey had done earlier with him.) Another surge of power to add to what Dewey is already focusing on Tass. And that's when he gets it in the head with a mug.

"Aye, I know." Cie didn't know what was used on him, but it had looked rather nasty and just offered a hand to the grumpy elf to aid him to his feet.

"So much for collateral damage control, Icer." Brian quips to the Dragon.

Reap supports those in need by drinking for them.

Luse takes Cie's hand and gains his feet.

"They're messing with kin?" Icer shoots back at Brian.

From Tass" there was a snarl, a curse, and a struggle to rise....but that was much of all that came.

Luckily, Howe keeps his feet, but the mug's passage will be felt for days. The lump is already forming. "I swear to you, these fools are going to pay. And dearly."

The mug crashes against Dewey's temple after bounding off of Howe's. A shake of his grayed head and the lines are momentarily lapsing as he glares over at Panther. "You will regret that."

"Nice aim, Panth." Eless quips to help ease the tension knotting in her neck and shoulders.

Watching the contact between the par, Brian noted Tass' response and looked to Icer once more. "Split them, sister. Find a way to keep them apart."

Mr. Howe

Date: 2007-06-02 22:41 EST
Poor, poor Dewey was in for a number of rude shocks this night it would seem, because as Cor was moving to help Tass stand, there was a crimson flicker sliding up around Cor's body as Cor weaved his own rarely-used power into a spell designed to strike at Dewey and Howe's web.

Cieara would have to agree with Eless, Panther hit two reptilian snakes with one throw.

The ice fire is reflected at the last possible moment by a very distracted Howe. In fact, it nearly blew past his shields, but he saves the pair of them just in time!

Elessaria definitely wants to burn her gown now....and will never wear plum again!

Luse rubs his sternum.

Even before the mug finds it's mark Panther is slipping out from behind the bar. "Maybe....maybe not."

Jade crashes back into the inn with a very loud: "Dammit!"

Meanwhile" Reap watching Panther head off to the fray takes that moment to lean over the bar, refilling his mug quickly.

Howe snarls to Dewey. "Close the trap before they close on us, partner."

Jade shakes it off.

A nod to Brian, then Icer is lunging. Jaws parted as she grabbed at Howe, aiming for the man's arm, intent on dragging him away from his partner.

"I think I underestimated how much people of this realm hate lawyers." Remarks Luse.

Brian once more backed his sister's play, and rushed into the fray, is katana 'Pulgasari' appearing in hand as the sheath was tossed aside, and Brian ran headlong towards the pair. "Court costs suck ass!"

Meanwhile" Reap settles back into his stool at the bar, boot heels re-hooked in the stools rung, as he sips on his fresh ale while watching the...."brawl".

Luse's comment brings a laugh from Cie as she looked over, still holding out that hand to Luse as she caught sight of the pair taking on more then a few now.

Luse takes Cie's offered hand.

Jade lunged at Dewey and tries to sink her fangs into his neck, intent on pulling him to the ground.

Reap thinks" "Lawyers?? He'd have to speak to them....assuming they live, about a law suit against Jewell. And Brian thinks he would willingly testify on Reap's behalf!

Mr. Howe

Date: 2007-06-02 22:43 EST
A pull from the power, a swipe of the cane to the air, a clench of Dewey's fist and for a moment what Viki calls the two can be quite clearly seen, if only for an instant; pointed teeth, slithery movements, foul stench of sulphur and brimstone. "Now, partner!"

Tasslehofl lifted his head, the black eyes looking to the one that was nearest, snarled, shaking off the hands....and he stood again, even on weakened legs....he stood.

Elessaria focuses on the fire in the hearth, silently drawing from them....the blue flames in her eyes dancing wildly in time with them.

Cieara hauls Luse up with a surprisingly strong grip and a mild show of strength, making sure he's balanced before releasing his hand.

Luse blinks. "Huh."

Howe's arm comes off in Icer's mouth and he screams, clutching frantically at his partner. "Now, Dewey, get us out of here, NOW!" Oh, and given the chance, they would love to aid Reap in his suit against Jewell! But that will have to wait for another night' assuming the two survive.

Panther takes a couple of steps, reaching the end of the couch he uses it as a launching point.

Luse offers Cie a soft "Thanks."

Stumbling backward as teeth sink into the vile tasting flesh, Dewey's hand grapples at his hold on his partner. "Foul creature!" Flame intense heat rises from his flesh.

"Icer, wide spread ice fire!" Brian directs.

"Look at all of 'em." Luse points at the brawlers.

A blink, then a grin as Icer tosses the bloody limb back at Howe.

Gabe stood and looked around. "Brian can you please explain to me....what the hell is going on?"

The body' his body....Tass?" shifted. It tore apart, wings ripping from the back....tail shredding the air as it extended....and jaws....massive and with many pointed teeth, ripped the air apart as he launched himself forward, intent to rip out the throat of the two who had snared him.

It is now that Brian's blade bites in to Howe's back slicing through flesh as easily as one might gut open a fish. Howe's piercing scream should be heard all the way in the Southside!

Dewey would leave a business card for Reap, but he's just a tad distracted currently.

Luse looks to Gabe. "Lawyers.? He says with a shake of his head.

Taking in a deep breath then, Icer sent a wide blast toward the two.

Elessaria bites her lower lip in frustration as she can't shield them all.

Mr. Howe

Date: 2007-06-02 22:47 EST
Luse finds himself in an odd position....watching and cheering a fight, rather than being in it.

Corlanthis out of respect for Tass stepped back, allowing the man to hold himself up. That left him more time to concentrate on keeping that damnable containment spell off of the Ancient. Sweat that had nothing to do with the earlier night's run began to bead once again upon his brow.

Icer can't help but to think "Never mess with a dragon's kin."

Brian once more leaped to his sister's back, and cut away with a now reversed slice to Howe's backside once more, his eyes narrow, as he looked to Dewey quickly, and resumed his attentions and blade to Howe.

Jade Rogue reappears, going fang first back at Dewey's neck.

"At least I didn't get in the middle of it. So Daddy can nae fuss later." Cie comments softly while turning to watch the scrambling of several around the reptilian pair.

Gabe looked to Luse. "Ok that doesn't explain a #$%^&* thing?" He isn't really much into big words.

Cheetham's voice rings throughout Dewey and Howe's mind, lending power and bringing strength. "Howe! Pull it in!" Dewey yells while struggling. An elbow slams towards Jade, trying to knock the jawing fiend off of his neck. Heat rises from his flesh in a burst of fire, intent on driving the nuisance Vampire away. "Vile beast I will see your flesh covering my boots!"

Unable to take anymore physical punishment, (the shell he's inhabited for so long is now nothing more than useless), Howe summons the demon. Flesh bursts into flames as the Beast takes shape. It all happens in a wink of an eye, the beast emerges and then....all three, Tass, Dewey and Howe, vanish.

Panther is in the air" his body about to crash between the pair and their prey....and suddenly he is ....gone as well.

Luse pulls his blade, Cinlach from its sheath.

As Icer's brother dealt with Howe, she turned her icefire on Dewey as he went after her sister, Jade. Jade on the other hand was not letting go for a moment. She let the fire coming off of Dewey burn her.

Cieara's jaw just drops at the sudden vanishing and she darts a look at Luse then back again. "That can nae be good."

Trying as best as he could, Brian closed the gap between himself and Howe, but is now blown back by the violent teleport!

Meanwhile" Reap sits at the bar sipping his ale.

The demonic attorneys? attackers' are left to claw, gnash, gash, cut, and curse at empty air. Any hope of keeping their secret however is lost. The true nature of DCH is now quite known and in a very public way. It will prove interesting to watch how they talk their way out of this one.

If Dewey has his way, Jade and Icer will be decorating his office and attire! Soon' very soon!

((Posters Note: The Aftermath will be posted in this thread next. We just need to finish editing it from logs to board reading. Stay Tuned!!))
