Ethan, after doing some work at the refuge, took a two hour nap in his room at the inn before meeting with Rena to look at the apartment. It was small and cozy and he loved it. Thrilled to move out of the Inn, Ethan finished his business with Rena and decided to carve out his weekend for moving in. It would make time at the Refuge scarce, but once he was in the apartment Ethan could relax.

Several hours later, he was headed to a Mercantile he?d spotted a few days earlier. It was easy to find and one of the nicest stores he?d seen.

Large windows faced the street and the front doors were wide open. A variety of sights and smells assailed his senses as he walked through those doors--leather goods, paint, bolts of cloth and other material, ready-to-wear clothing, fruit bins, stationary, kitchenware--Ethan tried to encompass everything.

Things were fairly quiet and Ethan took his time touring the aisles where high shelves were stocked with canned foods, sewing supplies, cooking utensils pots, and pans. He was looking for glasses, but wasn?t able to find anything but blood goblets.

Sighing, he turned away to travel down another aisle that held bolts of canvas. Thoughts of Chase?s dilapidated tent came to mind as he pulls one bolt from the shelf. This would work, he thought to himself. One by one, he carried the bolts up to the front, setting them by the counter where the owner stood.

He explained while he paid that he was making a tent, trying to make conversation, but the shop owner seemed disinterested. Ethan smiled anyways and gave the man directions where the canvas could be sent. After thanking him, he made his way over to another shop, hoping to find some cups there.

It was the same; shop after shop contained only medieval drinking wares. He probably wasn?t looking hard or long enough, but the handyman had had a long day. Finally exasperated, Ethan complained to a store owner that he should carry other glasses. When he asked why, Ethan took the blood goblet and nearly shook it in the man?s face.

?Dammit, ?cause I can?t serve kool-aid to people in these!?

Welcome to Rhy?din, Ethan. You're the only grown man who still drinks kool-aid.
