Some say there is no true end to war. A battle may be fought and won,yet the war is never over. It stays with you forever.

The castle was quiet. Despite all those there. Salice wished it wasnt so quiet. That instead of thsoe resting,healing in their beds that,they could enjoy a party once more. But it was not meant to be. They had all survived. But the cost seemed to be too great. Nosgoth still in need of healing.Willow and Drake still laying lifeless,one here in Edhel Ndor the other still in Nosgoth.

There were others here whom had yet to wake. They could not expect mircales to happen too quickly. Aiden had woken,that brought much joy to Shea and Victor and to Mila. Magus lay still in sleep,as Novella tended to him. His wounds were healed,but his magic had been pushed to its very limits.

Vanessa and Rune had woken,but were still abed. Vanessa had woken to ask for her children. Salice could not refuse her. Zoe and Nathan now slept in their cribs beside the beds of their healing parents.
Anala had taken Warner home to Nosgoth. She could not be away from Gabe, nor the land that needed healing. Audrey had gone as well with Vanya and Joshua to Kahns side in Nosgoth.

Salice had not yet been back. Only a day had gone by. One day,and she had found no rest. She tended to her children.To Shay when Kulbin lay sleeping beside her. Shay was healing. But Salice's mind lingered on Willow,on Drake. What would become of them?

Ghallon had done some sort of magic.Asking that two staffs of light,Runes and his own ,a s well as Drakes own scythe and Darkmeres Soul reaper be laid beside Drakes body,which lay so lifeless upon a bed in Nosoght Castle. Cadaria had not left his side. Salice knew the angels burden. Her beloved lay,so still,and she could do nothing but hope.

Salice walked the halls looking in on those who were here. Shay sat up with Kaleigh in her lap,Kulbin at the edge of the bed. Aiden leaned against Mila as she rocked their daughter,their son lay sleeping in his own arms. Shea was here and not, sometimes she would go to Willow,or to Nosgoth to Drake. Yet when she was here Salice knew where t find her sister.

"Sister." Salice pressed a hand to Sheas shoulder. Shea stood with a sleeping Mina in her arms starring up at the portrait of their father. He was surrounded by books and scolls,beside him a lovely painting of their mother. Shea looked over at her sister and smiled dimly. Salice noted that more of her sisters dark hair had gone to silver. One day Salice knew, the power would take her,and Victor as well.

"I was thinking about him. Of the day he came home with mother in his arms. She was so pale." Shea brushed a strand of Minas dark hair from her face. " I know the trials of death myself. I was there. It was Willow who brought me back. And now, I can do nothing for her. I call to her, reach for her with all my strenght and power and yet,she lays still as stone."

Salice looked up at the pictures then down at Shea. "It will take time. We can not expect things to get better within a day. Only one day has passed. One. Look at all we were given. Our children are safe, the allies are alive. The battle is over."

"Yet the war wages on, Drake and Willow. They lay still as stone,and none know if or when they will awake."

"We must have hope. Or the battle was for nothing. Victor and Etten are in the lounge, we should go in." Shea looked off that way then down at her daughter. Then slowly the wind mage followed the queen.

Nosgoth.

While Drake laid on the bed surrounded by four of the most powerful weapons of the alliance. With each one pulsing with energy, with each pulse a flare of the conjoined color of the alliance. The aura around Drake's body would flare and diminish pulsing from the combined efforts of each weapon. Yet he still remained as still as stone, with there being a very faint hint of breathing from his body.

Yet there was a spirit like figure in the room, watching Cadaria watching over the body. A soft frown on the spirit's lips to seeing the angel's pain and suffering. Slowly the spirit turned to move through out the castle. Pausing to check on each member of the alliance within Alcar castle.

First stopping in on Audrey and Kahn, with a smile crossing the spirit's lips to seeing the two resting peacefully. He then moved over to the crib where Joshua was at, looking down on the sleeping child. Who woke and looked right up at the spirit, with Vanya suddenly walking over to the crib as well. Looking up to the spirit, with the spirit looking down to the young girl.

Kahn glanced over for a moment, with no clue that the spirit was there. Vanya smiled as she knew who it was. Drake. After a few more moments, Drake turned and slipped out of the room. Next stopping in on Angel and Azura, looking in on the twin daughters of Jade and Darkmere.

The two girls looked up at Drake, before Azura started to cry out. Angel soon joined her sister. Which caused Jade and Dark to come flying into the room. Jade picking up and trying to comfort Azura, with Dark picking up and trying to comfort Angel. Both girls pointing to where Drake was at, yet their parents seen nothing. "They must senses the pain and suffering." Murmured Dark to Jade with a soft look.

Slowly he moved forward. "Shh, girls. It is not yet time for me to return just yet. There is something that I must do. Be strong." The two girls look to the spirit of Drake, and slowly started to settle down. Dual sets of eyes watching him as he turned to move to the last alliance member at the castle.

He looked in now on Gabriel and Warner, with the child stirring in his father's arms as Drake stepped into the room. But remained asleep. A smile towards the sleeping Warner, before he moved on. Leaving Nosgoth in a blink.

Edhel Ndor.

Drake first stopped in on Magus and Novella, checking in on the shadow mage and his lover. He then stepped through the wall to check on Vanessa and Rune. As a light smile touched his lips, to watch Vanessa as she took care of Zoe and Nathan.

Shay and Kublin were visited next, with Kaleigh looking up to Drake as he stepped into the room. Before looking to her parents, with the child noticing her parents didn't see the youth. She then curled up against her mother again.

He next moved to Aiden and Mila, looking in on the young couple and their children. With a smile seeing that Aiden was healed and back on his feet. Salice's children were next, before he moved down to see Shea with Mina. Listening in on there conversation, before looking in the lounge where Victor and Etten were at.

"We have been in many battles and wars together, but this has been one that I pray never comes back." Victor looked to Etten who nodded lightly, as the two old friends had been going over the battle a few times. Drake stood in the back.

"I agree. Drake and Willow still haven't woken up from near death. I know Cadaria will refuse to leave his side, just like Ghallon will refuse to move from Willow's. Novella has hardly left Magus's side. Belmont and I think Darin escaped." The demon exhaled softly.

"I know. Something tells me, that this isn't over. Not only do we still have allies on the mend, but at anytime. Those two could return and attack. We still have hope, old friend. I know it is something you and me never really believed in." Victor was about to continue, before Etten waved him off.

"Being here. Watching the people of each land coming together for each other. As well as how each one bears the suffering that the other alliance members bear. It shows that even now, everyone is there for the other. Drake and Willow will return to those that love them. Those two are far to strong to give up when they have so much to live for." The demon smiled as he looked to Salice and Shea as they stepped into the lounge.

Healing Chamber.

The last stop to the youth was the most important. As he looked to Willow and Ghallon, watching the eldest Alcar staying by Willow's side. "I know you are here Willow. It is not the time for either of us to pass on just yet. You have a daughter that you just found, and she needs you to come home." The youth spoke to the area around him. Knowing the woman hadn't yet crossed over.

Salice passed in to the lounge and Shea close behind her. For a moment Shea looked to the hearth,then to Victor. She thought she felt something. But it passed. Shea had heard the two talking,they spoke much of the same as Salice and she had. They had all relived that battle. So many times before death had been close to them all.When their mother died,then their father, when Jin ruled and darkness beside him,in the time of Alaric.In battles on fields near and far. Yet Shay had been the one to fall this time. Both sisters had hoped it would be a long time before another battle.

"You know them both well."Shea remarked to Etten. "They are fighters. Willow had died before and come back. And Drake is young.Ghallns plan will work, four wepaons of the alliance, al so powerful,in their own ways.Two of light,two of dark. Now only if we had more."She mused on that ideal for a moment, "He has an angel to come back to. And Willow had Ghallon and her daughter. They will fight still to come back to us." Shea walked to Victors side and pressed her hand in to his. "It is not their time." Anyone would note the mage had more streaks of silver through her dark hair. She was more powerful,and death was aplace of darkness or a place of light. Shea hadnt sensed either Drake nor Willow walking the path of death,they were both stuck,somewhere inbetween.

Salice walked to Ettens side and lay her head to his shoulder. "The children are asleep. All save that one."She looked to Mina who was near sleep in Sheas arm. Shea smiled at Salice,"she was fussy.She always is fussy when she wants daddy." A grin at Victor.

Etten looked to Salice as she came in to the lounge with Shea and Mina. A light smile crossing his lips as he slipped his arms around his beloved queen. Then looked to Shea as she moved to Victor, not saying anything as he knew she was right. But it was Victor who would speak up.

"It's not that we doubt that they will come back to those that love them. Nor do we doubt that Ghallon's plan will work. It's just that " He paused to take Mina from Shea and started to rock their daughter as he looked down to the sleeping child. Getting his head to tilt for a moment.

"For Willow. She has been to this point and beyond before. For Drake. It is something new. I know both of them are strong and powerful, but there is something that has been troubling me. No one could reach Willow, not ever you are Ghallon. " A pause to look to Shea.

Etten picked it up from here. "We both come to the same conclusion. Drake hasn't woken or returned, because we believe that he is staying in the spirit realm and hunting for Willow. He may be our best shot to save Willow. I just hope that in the end, by putting this task on himself to find Willow and bring her home. We don't lose Drake." The demon knew, all of them knew that if Drake were to pass on. Cadaria would never recover.

Shea nodded softly. No one had been able to reachWillow.Not Ghalon,not Radella and not Shea herself.She lay still as stone. "If he is hunting her in the after life I may be able to help." She looked to her soothed daughter.

"I know where her spirit would go. I was there when I died on the field in Crendia. If she went any where it would be the old temple in Crendia.The one in the Gorgamin woods. I may not be able to go to her. But Drake could. "She looked to Salice then to Victor. "I will try to guide him that way. I will need to go to Nosgoth. I hope Jade can convince Cadaria to take a moment away from Drake. I am not sure she will want to know what I am doing."

Salice leaned in to Etten. Then looked between Shea and Victor. "Hopefully Drake is strong enough to walk the world between death and life,find Willow and return to the fold."She didnt say what would become of Cadaria if he did not. She did not say her views on Sheas help,she knew her sister could help, and would do so no matter the cost.

Shea looked to Mina in Victors arms. "He must return. We all know what will become of Cadaria should he be lost to death." She stroked Minas face as she slept in Victors arms. She wouldnt ask him leave to go now,she would wait till after Mina was in her bed. There would be risks for Shea to try to lead Drake to Willow. But it might very well save both of them.

Radella trusted in her team of healers. They all had duties now. Cadaria would see to Drake. Novella to Magus. Mila would tend Maewen with Max. Most of the burns were fading from Maewen's body now. Aiden was already healed and awake. Had it truly already been three days?

Willow lay on the great healing stone,flat,unmoving. She still didn't breathe. Yet somehow she was there, her body did not decay. Willow and Drake had been the most hurt. Neither had woken.

Willow lay here, before Radella's very eyes. Drake in a room in Nosgoth Castle. The magic that Ghallon had done with the two staves and the sword and scythe would keep him in Nosgoth till he awoke. None would touch him, nor move him,or the weapons. As Ghallon had said not to. It was better that way, in Nosgoth she could tend to him as much as Cadaria could. Kulbin and Shay were on the mend. Victor was often here at the counsel house with Shea. Kraven was awake. Zhorn as well. Both here, both often near by. Emily was there as well. There was an air of fear and hope.

Audrey, Vanya and Joshua had gone to Nosgoth to Kahn.All the children to their parents. Rune and Vanessa had stayed in GreenStone for a while getting healed, but now they were in Crendia. As Ghallon and Willow were both there within the counsel house. Aldaya and Raz had returned to Nosgoth after resting up in GreenStone castle. Wounds were healed or healing,the land was healing. But the battle seemed to be pressing ever on. Drake had not woken, nor had Willow. The enemy had lost,and what had the allies won?

Salice came every other day. With news. The allies would live, many with new scars from battle. Anarya had gone to see Merellien and his mate. The gold dragon was calm,and she said that he would not bother them again. The elder couldn't recall what she had spoken to him the night of the battle. She recalled her fall,killing Ryker and nothing beyond that.

Anarya suspected that perhaps Blacknight and Galedia might become a fast pair. Yet there was no news on that. The ice dragoness had not yet returned to Crendia. She stayed in Nosgoth,helping to quell the fires. StarFire had gone back to his wood,and all seemed to be mending. Jade sent status reports on the land. It was black and ash ridden some places, other places the ice had quelled the fires. They would heal the land.

Jade had sent word that as soon as allies were able they could come to Nosgoth to help heal the land. Jade and Dark would do what they could together for now. So far only Shea had been back. Cadaria hardly left Drakes side. Jade couldn't blame the angel,and tended to her like a doting mother.

It was a sweet and sour victory. While all were safe,none it seemed were with out their battle wounds, even those who had not fought. The healer bared wounds as much as the fighters did. The family had been dealt two wide gashes in the fall of Willow and Drake. And those two wounds seeped and bled.

The Mage's had returned to the mage house. Novella had tended to Magus since after the battle he had yet to fully recover. The others were on their way to a full recovery. Kegan and Hera spent some time together,talking of Inari, the fire mage. Hera had yet to run the full play by play of the battle with anyone else. Though Salice doubted that Lang didn't know the full play by play. The two spent much time in GreenStone with Kane, they hadn't yet gone home. Willow had many visitors,day in and out. Ghallon,Emily and Radella were there always. Kraven and Zhorn never far off.

Sira and Damien had returned to Sim'Tahl. Though they came and went as well. Sira to check on Willow and her brother. Damien came to see Drake.

Everything was back to normal. Save for Drake and Willow.

They tried every day to reach Willow. But as of yet nothing had worked. Ghallon never left her side. Emily would come and go. Radella watched, not able to do much more. It was up to fate and time. She was happy, happy that none had died,as of yet they had all lived through it. Kraven was alive and often by her side. She took the joys where she could.

His was an unlikely face to see. But Radella was glad of it. " So Captain Aurdon." She smiled to Georg. "You came to see if we were all alright, and what do you think?"

Jade had brought the good Captain from Nosgoth, he had appeared the day after the battle at the door. Yet Lori handt been with him then, she was there now. Looking lovely. Jade had done the run down of the battle. Radella was sure the good captain had seen the land by now, and known all that had happened. Radella had a smile for him though, he was to be a father and that news brightened her dark day.

"As I am sure you have heard, most of us are healed or well on our way. " She paced back to Willow where she lay.Her eyes cast to Ghallon,who'd risen only to see Georg and Lori. " Willow lays still as stone,and Drake as well." Jade had brought an update on Drake, though Radella had seen him already today,any news was taken.

"The land is being healed,and most have returned home. Yet here Willow stays. Ghallon,Emily and Zhorn as well. I am at a loss, I am happy that none have died,happy that I have my beloved." She looked towards the kitchen where Kraven would be with Emily making them all lunch.

"He felt something, we both did." Lori embraced Radella softly. Radella hugged her right back. "There was no reason to send for you,yet I am glad to have you both here. And with good news."She placed a hand on Loris abdomin. "It will be a strong child,a child of the sea."

Kraven and Emily passed out lunch. Emily paced in to the healing room with Zhorn close behind her.Lori watched them. Then looked to Kraven and Radella. "It seems as though we came too late to help."

Radella shook her head. "No,the battle was not for you two to be in. But you can stay now, and help.The land needs healing.The people as well. And news of a child will bring more hope to the allies." She smiled and with her lunch paced away in to the healing room. Lori watched her go.

"We will stay wont we?" Lori asked Georg as they left the counsel house and headed towards the castle.

"Yes I think we should. They need our help. I am sure Salice would have us at the castle. I will send word to the crew."

Lori walked with him through the forest. She had seen the waste that was the battle ground. Georg had gone,for two whole days. Then he returned, and he wasnt alone. Kahn and Audrey had come with him. The crew had been given the news then of what had happened. And he had let them al go to their families. Now it seemed they would be spending some time away.

"We will do all we can to help heal the land,and the allies."

Lori walked with him,then they rode back to GreenStone Castle.
Salice was there to greet them with Etten by her side. Lori thought they made an odd pairing. Salice was all light,and Etten seemed to be shadow. Yet side by side they looked well matched. "Welcome to GreenStone. I wish these greetings were under different circumstances. But I welcome you both. "

Salice had a room set for them. And the news of a new child spred quickly. It was little in the grand sceme of things, but it was still hope.

Drake Jones

Five days had passed. And still there was no change. Drake lay as lifeless as before. Willow still did not draw breath. Shea would not loose hope. She would give her every moment to aiding them. Any moment she was not with Victor, Mina, Aiden, Mila and her grandchildren she was with Willow or Drake. Giving what she could to Ghallon and Cadaria. Ghallon waited,watching over Willow. There was no fear on his face, only sorrow. The news of Lori and Georg's child to be had brought a ghost of a smile to him.

Nothing it seemed would brighten Cadaria's mood. She slept beside Drake, ate her meals there, and never left. Shea saw it upon herself to bring her some of her own things, clothing, books and anything else. Cadaria seemed a little cheered by the elven lyre, and harp. By her books. But Shea was there was sorrow in her, and fear. And Shea knew that Cadaria wished with every fiber that she had gone out to battle, that it had been her in Drake's place.

Shea slid the tray of food on to the angel's lap, and knelt there beside her. "If you had been in the battle, things might have been worse. Luca would have used you against Drake. That is why he asked you to stay with the healers. You can not blame your self for what happened. The battle was none of your doing." Shea brushed a dark hair from Cadaria's fair face.

"Do not despair." She pressed a hand to Cadaria's chest. "He will wake,sooner or later. Ghallon knew what he was doing, when he asked that these weapons be placed around Drake. Two staves, one from each white wizard, both so pure and good. Two weapons of more darkness, yet not the type that is evil..not purely so. Drake's scythe, a symbol of the battle won, of the death he brought to the enemies of the Alliance. And The Soul Reaver." Shea cast a glance to that sword. "Dark's sword, one he has taken many a life with, yet through those deaths Nosgoth was able to be made, to thrive. They are just tools, all bound with magic." Shea took Cadaria's hand and pressed it to Drake's chest right against that heart pendent that he wore. "It was your amulet that gave him the power to go forward." Shea looked to the heart shaped locket.

"Your love and everything you had gone through. All the pain of your past that pushed him forward. It was all of us. That helped him slay the evils. It may very well take an act by us all to wake him. But I think it will be you. Your love for him." Cadaria looked at Shea teary eyed. "I do not wish to loose him."

"Love can withstand death. Ask any here. Many of us have died and come back. Though magic and through love. There is not one among the allies who would not die for those they love. Drake is no different. It will take time, but he will come back. Both he and Willow will return to us." Shea rose to her feet. "You must eat, and rest. You can not do anything for him but be here, speak to him, read to him, sing to him. Love him and that may very well be all that is needed." Shea looked to Drake then to Cadaria .

Cadaria ate a bite or two. Shea looked to Drake. What the wind mage was about to do would be risky.
.....

It had been an hour ago that she had appeared before the castle . After she had laid down her plan to Victor, he had agreed. Though she knew he didn't like it. Shea had not been able to be in the battle, and doubted very much that her hand would have done any more to help the allies than it had as a healer.

She had laid Mina down and stood beside Victor to what their daughter sleep. She knew he wanted to come with her, to stand beside her as she tried to each Drake, to guide him to Willow. But she had framed his face with her hands and said. "My evening star, though your strenght would give me strenght. You know I must do this alone." She had kissed him then and walked down the hallway. She saw her son and Mila sleeping soundly, their children as well.

She vanished then and appeared in Nosgoth. It didn't surprise her that Darkmere opened the door to allow her inside. She could have entered the castle directly but it didn't seem right.

For an hour she sat in the lounge with Dark and Jade listening to what she had planned. "She needs to eat, and rest. I can not force her to do either. But if I can reach out to Drake, help him to find Willow. Both of them will return far sooner." Shea ran her fingers through her two toned hair. "It will not be a light under taking. I don't think Cadaria should be in the room while I reach for him. I hate to ask this of either of you. But if were to find them, and bring them back. This may be our only coarse."

Jade looked to Dark then back to the wind mage. Jade nodded softly, the mage had saved many lives as a healer in the battle. And Shea had saved Jade's life. "I can do it." Jade rose from Dark's side. Jade looked to the food that was ready to take up to the angel. Jade walked to the food,and knelt before the tall glass of water. And as an assassin would she dosed the water. "It will knock her out, she won't be happy."

Shea walked over and lifted the tray. "No. She won't be, but she can be mad at us both." Shea took the food up to the angel then.

.....

Now as Shea watched Cadaria pick at the food she looked to Drake's prone figure. Shea stood there as still as he was as Cadaria downed the water and finished off the food. As Shea went to take the tray Cadaria seemed to faint. The mage caught the tray and the angel. The tray floated the angel lay in her arms.

Jade walked in and took the floating tray. She likely could easily lift Cadaria and take her from the room. But that was a deed the lupine had talked in to her king. Dark walked in and lifted Cadaria easily. He would lay her in another room while Shea worked. Once Dark laid Cadaria on the bed in a spare room, he moved to stand in front of the door. To keep her from moving back to Drake's side, incase she woke. Where he would fill her in on just what Shea was doing.

Jade closed the door behind them both as they left Shea with the lifeless Drake.

Shea walked over and sat in the chair beside his bed. "I hope you forgive me. I would not normally do this. It is not my way to probe in to the minds of others." She took his hand in hers. "But if your there in the world between death and life searching for Willow, than I may be able to point you in the right direction. "

Shea closed her eyes and focused. A light breeze filled the room,swaying the drapes and blowing at her hair. She focused on Drake, on sending part of herself to him. The world between life and death was vast and wide it differed for every person. She knew where Willows spirit would go. Shea found herself standing, no floating in the very room Drake lay in. Then she felt her self being tugged out to the battle field. His spirit had been there but wasn't there now. Suddenly she floated just beyond the counsel house. She found him there, his aura, his spirit. "Drake."

She spoke her voice like the wind.

When he turned to look at her she saw the fear in his eyes then the slight understanding. "Willow would not linger here. If her spirit has moved on it would not be here. It would be taken to the Gorgamin woods in Crendia. She has died before, that would be the place her spirit would wander lost in time." Shea felt the tug of the wind behind her. But she paid it no mind. "If your searching for her it is there you must go. But go quickly. It is dangerous to linger in the world between life and death for too long."

Drake remained quiet as Shea spoke as he turned to face her, listening to the information she gave to him. He also took note that she was fighting to stay here as long as she could. Once she finished speaking he nodded lightly. "There is something I must ask of you. Tell Cadaria that once Willow is safely among us again. I will return. Another thing. Tell her and Ghallon to rest and spend time with family. I know it is hard for them both to see both Willow and myself like this, but they are only hurting themselves."

Drake watched as the wind mage nodded before he turned to head in the direction of the Gorgamin woods to continue his search there for Willow.

She felt the wind at her back, but she nodded lightly to the spirit of Drake. She would pass along that message to them both. She felt her self tugged back, back to the field of battle. She hoped he had heard her. She was wandering his mind now. The play by play of the battle. The wounds, the words.

Shea opened her eyes and gasped for air. Nearly falling from the chair she let go of Drake's hand. She had seen the whole fight from his view, the fury of it. The power. She had heard every word he, Luca and Ava had uttered. The wind in the room had risen and fallen and now was still. Shea looked to his prone form, "Find Willow, so you may return to your angel and ask that which you should have asked ages ago."

Shea rose to her feet and walked to the door. She made it two steps out in to the hall before she fainted. Jade was walking out of the girls room when she saw the mage stumble. "Shea!" The lupine shot forward and caught Shea as she fainted. "Dark!" Calling over her shoulder, causing Darkmere to come rushing out of the room Cadaria was in. Before scooping Shea up and moved to another room, with Jade opening the door for him. "I do hope she was able to reach Drake. For Cadaria and Ghallon's sake." He murmured to his wife as he laid Shea on the bed.

OOC note. The first part of this post is before Shea left to Nosgoth.]

Salice stood on the battlements of the castle. Looking out. The land was green and all seemed right with the world. Hours earlier she had stood in Nosgoth on the ashen battle field helping to heal the land. Days had passed, and there had been good news mixed with the sorrow. Magus had awoken. Kraven and Zhorn were well healed. Maewen was up and able to hold her son. The burns were nearly gone from her. Salice knew it would be a scar she bore in her heart now.

Life had gone back to the way it was. Yet nothing was the same. Vanessa and Rune held the seat of protectors in Crendia while Ghallon sat by Willow side. She had not woken, had not moved. No magic seemed to bring her back. Drake also lay, still as stone. Shea had gone to reach out to Drake. Salice glanced tot he sun, that had been hours ago. Yet the mage had not yet returned. The journey between worlds was no easy task. If something had befallen her sister Salice would know, she would feel it. Yet the wind whispered for her not to worry.

Salice had seen Cadaria that day, long before Shea had set down her plan to them all. Salice had felt compelled to see Drake, to see Cadaria.. For once the angel had not been by Drake side. She walked the garden in Nosgoth. Salice had meant to go to her, to offer her something. Yet she could only watch as the angel fell to her knees and wept by the fountain.

It was Drake that Salice had chosen to speak to. He lay as he had, with the weapons of Rune, Ghallon, Darkmere and his own scythe around him. There was a deep magic in the air. And a pulse of white light at his throat. Salice sat slowly by the bed side.

She took his hand softly. "Here is an angel outside, who weeps because she thinks she has lost you." Salice looked to Drakes sleeping form, his wounds had been healed, bandaged and tended to. Bones set, what was broken had been mended. But some things took time, and Drake had used much magic. "I must say. You fought like a crazy man. A brave man. You did it too, the war is over. Luca is dead, Ava as well. And Cadaria need not worry about avenging angels any longer. Belmont and Darin got away. But all others were destroyed."

Salice took a long breath. "You should return to us. Some of us have more faith that you will wake. Many of us know the costs of magic and battle. Many of us have died before. Only to rise again. Yet there is an angel outside these walls who weeps, who's heart is breaking. If for no one else, you should awake for her."

Salice gave his hand a soft pat, then rose to her feet. She knew Shea might well reach him now. She hoped she would,perhaps her words would take hold with him as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This takes place after Shea went to Nosgoth.]
Now she stood alone in GreenStone, there high on the castle looking out towards the mountains. When they had returned to GreenStone. Lona and Dalryn were awake and Etten Micheal sleeping. Etten had not come right back with her, yet when he did return she watched as Lona wrapped herself around his leg and looked up at him.
It was later that night, after she had returned home from the trials of the battle, that she sat with Lona and Dalryn. They were not babies any longer, and there were questions Salice wished she didn't have to answer but yet when Lona asked. She did not deny her the answers.
"It was a great battle, and many were injured. The land will need healing like the people do." "And can we help Atara?" Dalryn posed that question. "Yes, we will all help."
As the wind blew through her hair now there on the rain washed battlements. She thought of Willow or was it Shea she was feeling now? When Salice felt a tug at her pant leg she expected to see Lona there but saw Mina instead. She lifted her up. "Are you hiding from your father?"
Mina smiled widely. "Daddy say that Mommy is with Drake" Salice nodded to that. "Yes, your mother is there with Drake, helping. She will be home soon though." She felt Victor come up beside them. Mina reached for him.
Salice looked over to him. "Aiden was looking for you." Salice saw much when she looked to Victor. She saw all that Shea loved, a tall handsome man, who's heart was full of light. Yet he had seen and done many things in his life that were not so good. He was well a man who knew too well the pain and loss of battles. He whispered something to Mina then set her down. The girl went prancing off singing Aiden's name.
"Wishing a moment alone with me, brother?" To her Victor was family. A brother in arms and a brother better than any she had known.
" How is Cadaria holding up? " Looking to her as he knew she had been to see the angel, and knew that Shea was likely trying her best to help bring both Drake and Willow back.
Salice sighed softly. "She is nearing the breaking point. If he doesn't return soon, I am scared that she will be lost to us as well." Victor nodded softly to that, before moving to hug her. Salice smiled and hugged him back. It was at the moment, that Victor felt a tug. A deep one. " I must go. Keep an eye on Mina for me till I get back." Salice nodded as Victor stepped back and touched the third pendent he wore. A silver eagle one and disappeared.
Shea shot up in bed. Her eyes focused on the walls. She was still in Nosgoth. She ran her fingers through her hair. She had been successful , she had been able to reach Drake. She recalled every moment of it now,even the moments that were not her own to recall. The battle with Luca and Ava. The words that were spoken. How Drakes spirit lingered here and there,looking for Willow.
Shea rose out of the bed and almost stumbled again. How long had passed? She hurried to the window,stumbling as she went, to toss open the shade. It was past mid afternoon now, the sun low. She had delved too deep,been gone too long between worlds. It was harder for the living to pass that way then those injured .With a deep breath Shea turned and went to the door.
Yet when she passed through the door she found her self not in the hallway but standing surrounded by woods. Before her stood a temple she had known all her life. That temple had been burned to the ground, the new one was not yet done. The pillars of onyx and crystal greeted her as she passed towards the door.
The temple was as it had been, onyx and crystal pillars stood for light and darkness. The floor was solid, not burnt and broken as it had become.It was the deep rich wood in the entrance way, then solid stone as one headed further back. On the floor written in elven was the word Balance. Elven designs flowed around the stone floor and curled around the word Balance. There was no sign of the fire that had raged here, no blood of the fallen goddess. Shea cold recall that day,they had all been taken back when the news spread that Devron had killed Cala. And along with her burned her sacred temple to the ground.
Cala's death had been full of pain. A brutal assault. Yet nothing seemed out of place in the temple of light and dark now.
Shea shook her head. She knew this place no longer stood. It had been destroyed.Only two pillars had been able to be saved. The Mage's were construction a new temple, with Radella's help. But that had been put on hold, for now. There were other things to do,lands needing healed,friends being sought. Shea didn't mind, the longer it took, the longer she had here,with her friends,her family. With Mina,Aiden and Victor.
Shea blinked and found herself standing starring down the empty hallway in Nosgoth. It was dark outside now. "Mina.." She looked back towards the room where Drake lay. Then one hand to the wall she slipped down the hallway. She saw Cadaria still sleeping. Jade must have dosed her good. The sleep would do her well. She knew she needed to tell Cadaria what Drake had said. She need to tell Ghallon as well.
She got to the top of the stairs and felt faint again. She slowly sat there leaning to the wall. She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. She had over extended herself. Reaching in to the world between life and death was a touch more than she had ever done before.
She knew she couldn't risk taking her usual way around,if she called the wind to take her now she wasn't sure she would survive to make it home. She opened her eyes to the darkness. She reached up trailing her fingers along the alliance pendant that hung along her collar. She traced her fingers down her chest and dipped her fingers low to grasp another pendant that rested near her heart a silver eagle pendent. It was something she had taken to wearing again.
Shea grasped it.It was light and shone in the darkness of the stair. The bird she had never seen, oh there were hawks and falcons in Edhel Ndor. But no eagles. Not even near the rivers or sea. Victor had told her they were creatures of earth,and perhaps even Rhydin. But to Shea they like a dragon embodied flight and power. And more over they made her think of Victor. She could reach out to him with magic,not in the state she was in. But she held that pendant hard in her fist.
Moments later after Shea took hold of that pendent, Victor would appear in that hallway. Shaking his head slightly as he watched her for a few moment, with a smirk crossing his lips. "You Greenstone women never can do anything without nearly tiring yourself out. Everything just has to be full throttle and forward." Teasing her as he slowly moved towards her. Arms crossing over his chest.
Shea looked up at him as he came forward.She would have had some sort of quip. But she couldnt find the energy.As he came closer she leaned to him and closed her eyes and whispered his name.
The Light of Arvandor:Willow
This experience was not new to her. The fight was still so fresh in her mind, yet she had no way to tell if it had ended well or if it had ended at all. She knew she was no longer alive,drifting weightlessly between worlds.
She knew the place she walked. This temple no longer stood. Not in whole. This place was ruins now, deep within the Gorgamin woods.Once long ago there had been a temple here, and other smaller buildings now there was ruins. But as she walked Willow saw the temple,in all its splendor.The woods were not so dark,and she felt the world around her.
The woods were lush,new, green. She felt as if she had gone back hundreds of years. She knew , that she had done just that. It was as if her mind trailed the world of old. When she had been younger. After her first death, but before the second. This was the third.. or was it now the forth? She ran her hands down to her side,and looked astonished at her hands. They were younger,softer. As they had been long ago. They carried none of the scars or years that she knew her true hands did.
Seven hundred and thirty one years. She had never expected to live that long. The life she had led was bloody and brutal. Slayer at sixteen, mother at twenty, killed on her twenty second year by Darin, and the Sword of Darkness. She had lost all of her friends in that time, to death and battles. She had lost the first man she had ever loved, and her own flesh and blood. She could recall the night Emily had been conceived,yet not the manner of her birth. She could see Vince's face,young ,dark and dangerous. She could see it was he hung lifeless from a crude stake. Pale,lifeless, cold .Death had gripped him and her own heart.
Emily had his eyes, his dark hair,his vampire nature. She could see Darin, whom she had loved,then whom she had hated. She could see her son, lost to her. She could see the other men she had loved and lost to time and death. Darin had killed her again.
Yet she did not sense him. Had her blow to him, killed him as well?Sent him to hell once and for all? She walked around the temple in the light. She felt the breeze,heard her name whispered on the wind.
The battle in Nosgoth was over. Some how she felt it. As she walked,the wind called to her. But she couldn't find the words,nor the breath to answer. Was this heaven? It was warm and light,and she felt as if she was home.
"Mother..." The word hit her and she spun around.
The woods grew darker,colder. The temple was in ruins again. There was rain now, but she didnt seem to feel it. The woods known as Fear.. The Gorgamin Wood had been very dark for a long time,under the survice of Tancred. They had grown wild and untamed. Darkness had spread from them. She walked away from the ruins of the temple,trying to find the edge of the wood. She felt the darkness close in, heard the sick mocking laugher of the old dead.
"Willow..." She froze,the voice was there all at once,all around her. She was scared now as she turned again. "You should not be here." He stood there ,dark and handsome,yet so ghostly pale. He had never been so pale,execpt in true death. "Vincent.." She found her voice some where, the breath to speak.
He did not come to her, he did not move. "There is darkness here that doesnt sleep,you shouldn't be here.Go back to the light.." She saw there was darkness behind her, but light beyond him,through the trees.
"Mother..." Willow looked up,but saw only blue sky and the trees. When she looked back Vincent was closer. "Willow, go now before the darkness sets in. Your not meant to be here." She looked to him, those ghostly grey eyes. She could feel the darkness creeping up behind her,so she stepped past him towards the light.
The woods were no longer around her. She walked along a narrow stream. This place did not look like Crendia. The land was not as rich,and there was no sense of magic in the air. As she walked she gazed across the stream and knew all at once where she was.
Beyond lay a village long forgotten to time. Most of the buildings were gone. All the ash and death of the villages death was gone years had replaced it all with green. This was the place it had all begun, so long ago.
This had been her home,long before Crendia,or Sim'Tahl. A place not unlike Rhydin,yet it was not that place,it was real. She had forgotten what the world outside of Crendia looked like. Long ago, she had known it, a place where magic was feared, and demons were only in tales.
That had been the world of the girl that lived in that village now long dead. It was there she met her first trainer. Jules had been dead now for hundreds of years. It was there she met her first vampire,and there she left her childhood behind.
She walked the ruins,over the flowering plants,and around what remained of a place that was no longer hers.
She walked away,back towards the stream and along its banks. Walking had long bee the way she had gotten a round. The world shifted as she moved though,the stream forming away,and in to a rise of a green hill, and forests dark and wonderful. This was the young Crendia,a place she had found after a long time past. She had left her old world behind and this was the new one.
The hill before her once held a fine building that was her own. The Rose Inn. It had been hers from the moment she found it. It had been nearly falling down then,but she built it back up,better than it had been. It had helped her forget that the man she loved was gone. He had known the inn,but only for a short moment,a year or a little less than. Willow placed a hand to her heart. Vincent was gone. It was that inn that brought the friends she had known to her,it was there she met Darin. It was there behind ththat she had burried her friends.
She walked to the hill, nothing remained of what was once her inn,not even the grave stones of the fallen heros of the past. Yet the tree remained. A mighty ash tree,taller than most of its breathern. It was there beside that tree she had died for the first time. She had come close before,so close. But wounds healed. It was there on that spot beside the mighty ash that Darin had thrust the Sword of Darkness through her.It was her touch as she died that turned it to light, that very light had killed Darin with her. It was all of that , that had made her a goddess.
Yet she couldnt recall walking in the after world like this before. Not then nor the other two times before that when she had died. She had been returned each time to her body. Darin had killed her three times now, all with a sword. It seemed they were doomed to relive the same fights over and over again. Till the end of time.
She left the ash tree and the world she had known fading behind her. And returned to a world she knew. This forest was not the forest of Crendia,nor Nosgoth. This was The Mith Woods. She found herself drawn to the Counsel house.
Drake Jones
Date: 2012-07-02 12:12 EST
After his conversation with Shea, how ever brief that is was. Drake was on the move. Heading in the direction that the wind mage had pointed him in, with his mind racing over the battle again. A smile crossed his lips, both in the spirit realm and in the real world to her words about Cadaria.
Slowly Drake would follow the faint aura of the fallen goddess, before he got his own surprise. It wasn't Willow that he meet, but one person. The male looked to be related to Lorelei. "My name is Aesar. The woman you are looking for, Willow. She is no longer in this area. She has gone to the Mith Woods. One more thing before you leave. Please tell my sister, and Georg that our parents are proud of them both. All of us are happy that the both of them found the other, and that they are finally together."
Drake nodded lightly to the male, before with Aesar's help. The young man appeared in the Mith Woods. With him appearing moments later a few feet in front of Willow. "Willow. It's time to head back home to those that love us." Softly to the goddess before him, as without Drake knowing it. The longer he stayed in this realm, the more in tune he was becoming with it. But at the same time, the more it was starting to drain him. Both physically and mentally.
"Everyone has been trying to reach you, so I took it upon myself to look for you. With the help of Shea, and a young male named Aesar. I am here. Let's go home, Willow. It is not our time to pass from this world just yet. You have a daughter that can't loose her mother, and Ghallon. It would destroy him if you pass now. Your place is there with them." Now moving towards her.
"I know I have Cadaria waiting for me, but I know she will understand what I am doing." Coming to a stop in front of the goddess now, and slowly offered his hand to her. "Let's go." Drake's spiritual form started to flicker now, a hint that he didn't have much time left. The spirit realm was slowly starting to claim him.
The woods were alight again. The ruins were before her,though they didnt look as forboding as they had, vines and moss grew over the fallen pillars,between broken walls. This was the wood known as Fear as it was now. "Emily..." She looked around for her daughter.
The only thing that answered her was the wind. She walked to a fallen pillar and sat. The wind whispered to her of the battle,the battle now done. She sound of Sira's scream,the feeling of Jades arms. There was chanting now,deeper chanting. She felt the world around her close in tight.She fought for breath. The wind whispered that it was time to come home. It was Shea's voice on the wind. The pain was there then,the feeling of Darins sword at her side, the blood flow.
As she pushed her hand to her side she brought it back bloody. The woods were gone then,and there was nothing but darkness and pain. She felt a soothing hand, she swore she heard a chant,the sound of her name being whispered. "Ghallon.." She felt her self whisper,the thought of him filled her mind.
The day they met. The day he won her heart. His soft eyes.The way she felt when he held her.The love they shared. All he had done for Crendia, and her. Their massive family,that seemed to grow more every moment. How he had given her his heart, how he had chosen to rule beside her. How though shed lost her son to Darin she had a new family now, daughter and a son in Rune. She could be mother to them all, she was old enough.
Her mind lingered on Ghallon,his eyes, his smile. The way his hands would brush through her hair. How many times had she died now? She had lost count over the years, and still the amount of times elluded her.. Everytime something drew her back,a little weaker at first then some how she gained back all the powers she had gained after the first time Darin had killed her.
She knew she would never loose all she had gained over her younger years.How to hunt and kill demons.How to fight with sword and fist. It would be a pity to loose it all now. Willow forced herself to clear her mind,she was a warrior.This would not,could not be her end. She vowed that to herself,and felt everything come back in to focus.
Yet it was not Ghallon she saw it was Drake. Yet he seemed to be there where she stood. Not some spector. "Drake.." He had fallen in battle just as she had, and he had sought her out. That was a dangerous gamble. She took his hand. "Lets go home." The world between worlds faded and Willow heard a voice,no voices she knew.She felt the weight of her ,limbs,the cool air.
"Willow...Willow..." Ghallons voice. But she couldnt find the power to open her eyes. "Willow..?" That was Shea's voice, like the wind. "Relax Willow,breathe.." That was Radella. Willow took a breath and felt the pain shoot through her. Then the soft warm glow that flowed after it. "Ghallon.." The words rasped from her thoat. And she felt his hand take hers. "I am here." She took his hand,and felt the bandages on her own hand and arm as she moved it.
If he was there then she was not dead.But she still couldnt find the will to open her eyes. It was too quiet,to somber. Drake ahd found her in the world between this one and death, had he come back as well? Had anyone else fallen?
"Your alright Willow. "Radellas voice was smooth,like velvet over glass,yet some how sommber. " Your in Edhel Ndor,at the Counsel house. Ghallon and Shea are here with you. I've placed a wrap around for eyes,they were very bruised. " Willow wanted to sit upt o get in to action.But she tooka slow breah. "Drake.. I saw Drake. He said,that he had been looking for me.. Shea..where is Shea?"
"I am here my friend." Shea took Willows free hand. "Shea hes loosing time, hes loosing the battle.Hes close to death taking him.." Shea shot a look to Radella and Ghallon. She knew she couldnt go to him again,she had power but not enough yet to delve in to the world between life and death again. She squezzed Willows hand lightly. "It is not his time yet, as it was not yours."
Shea knew it had not been either of their time,but the land between worlds was a dangerous place,one where if you lingered too long,no matter how noble the reason,it could cost you, your life, your body , your soul.
Shea felt it. She was sure everyone did. The pulse of power that seemed to vibrate through the alliance pendant allt he way through her. She looked to Willow and Ghallon. Ghallons staff had reappeared. Drake was awake. And more powerful.. Shea paced slowly to Radella.
Emily,Zhorn and Kraven all sat in the other room. All had celebrated the moment Willow awoke. Now they were giving Willow and Ghallon time alone. Emily and Zhorn were leaving at dusk for Crendia.To over see the land now that Rune and Vanessa had returned to Nosgoth.
Shea looked to Radella. "Willow is well on her way to mending now." Though Willow still lay down with her eyes bandaged she spoke easily to Ghallon. "Drake is awake.."
Radella nodded. "That is the power I felt." Radella smiled softly. "Hes become more poerfull than half of us. Being in the land between worlds has changed him. Though I can't forsee how much yet. " She rubbed her temples.
Shea lifted hand to the elders. "You shouldnt do that. There have been enough of us near death. We shall see what time brings for Drake. For now I think he will have an angel in his arms. I should return home. "She cast a look towards Kraven. "And you.."Shea gripped Radellas hand.. the wind mages eyes went almost white as she looked to Radella. "You need to rest as much as the rest of us, the battle, the healing.. it all takes a toal. And you should tell him..." Shea winked before disappearing.
Just after Shea disappeared, Kraven looked down to Radella as he moved to sit beside her. Taking her hand in his own now. "What does she mean?" Using his other hand to slowly turn her eyes towards his own now. With his brows rising lightly, as he was a bit lost at the moment on that.
Willow's room
Ghallon smiled down to Willow as he looked more relaxed now that she was awake. "You rest. Drake is home now, and by that surge of energy. He has become one of the most powerful alliance members. Welcome home, my beloved." Softly to her as he finally shifted and leaned down with a soft kiss to her lips.
Greenstone Castle
At the moment. Victor was sitting in the lounge with Georg and Lori, as he listened to their story about their battle on the sea. As well as Victor telling them about the fighting that had happened at the same time. Watching Lori and Adamina, as they played. Getting a smile to cross his lips.
"Quite a tale. I am glad you two are alright and expecting your own." He smiled to the pair as he looked to Shea as she returned. "You just missed Georg and Lori telling me of their battle on the seas."
Georg looked to Adamina and Lori, then back to Victor. "I just hope we never have to go through that again." He looked to Lori on that just looking at her for a long moment. Victor caught that look and nodded. He seen the way the two looked at the other. As well as catching that their love had been burning for years.
Georg then nodded to Shea. "Lady Shea. I hear everyone is getting better. We would of been here to help, but we had our own fight. But you helped us by way of the amulet that you gave me."
Radella looked over to Kraven as he sat beside her. Willow had been moved to one of the geust rooms, tomorrow perhaps the day after Ghallon could take her home. Zhorn and Emily had left for Crendia. The Counsel house seemed quiet. She shook her head softly. "Shea just doesnt want me to tax myself. Healing everyone.." That was a part truth. Shea knew more than Radella had thought. Then again Shea was growing in power with every passing day. Radella sighed softly. "Sheas begun to see parts of the future..a gift most seers have froma young age. Cala could see in to all parts. " She wasnt sure how he would take the enws she was about to lay on him. So she didnt... "She thinks I am going to over work myself...end up like Drake and Willow or worse." Radella gave his cheek a soft pat.
Willow's room
Willow lay there with her hand in his. Her eyes still had a light wrapping about them. Moments before Zhorn and Emily had come to say goodbye before setting off to Crendia. Willow smiled though she could not see Ghallons smile, she almost felt it. "I am resting."She lay in a cozy bed now. "He is home that is good. He lingered too long in the land between worlds,its become apart of him. I know the feeling." She had died before,lingered in that world, become a goddess. She could walk in both worlds,but it took some doing. Shea had now wlaked in to the world as well and one day would do so more over. She drew Ghallon closer after the soft kiss,lifting her hand to trace his face, though her eyes were bound. "I am glad to be here."
Greenstone Castle
Shea crossed in to the room and smiled to Lori and Georg and looked to Mina in Loris lap. "I am sorry to have missed that tale. Willow is awake, and Drake as well."She was sure Victor knew botht hings already. She crossed and sat down beside her beloved. "I will hear the tale soon,I am sure."She looked to Lori who held a giggling Mina.
Shea shook her head at Georg. "You had your own battles to fight. I am glad it came in handy. It is but a mere trinket. With your beloved wife on the Flacon,I doubt you have need of a wind mages simple amulet." She gazed to Lori and grinned. "I hope you both plan to stay for a while. though there is healing yet to be done.I think there will be a wedding or two before the end, a more than one new child to announce."
Kraven nodded lightly to Radella on that before moving to his feet again, this time waiting for her to stand as well. Before slipping his hand into her own, and turned to go for a walk with her, as it seemed now that Willow and Drake were back. Everyone was taking the time to spend time with their chosen mates.
Willow's room.
He shifted and slowly started to remove the bandages that were around her, with a blink to her being fully healed as well. A thought raced through his mind at that moment, that it was Drake's return that might of had an effect on it as well as the healing of the others.
Emily and Zhorn stepped into the room as they were told that Willow was back, with the drow giving Emily a nudge for her to go forward and be with her parents. He remained near the door for the moment.
Greenstone Castle.
All three nodded to Shea at the news she delivered, with Victor quirking a brow to the mention of weddings. "You are probably right there." He then looked to Mina and Lori. "They are going to make great parents."
Georg smiled to Shea, before wiggling a few fingers at Mina. Then a glance to Lori, not saying a word now. With a smile crossing his lips.
Radella rose with him.Her hand in his. She kenw Willow would be well looked after. She could almost feelt he healing energys that filled the counsel house as she walked with Kraven back towards the gardens.
Willow's room.
Willow blinked her eyes open. She no longer felt weak,or in any pain. She sat up slowly,pondering how she coudl have recovered so quickly. Perhaps it was Drake,his return to the fold and what powers he had brought back with him.
Emily didnt need much of a nudge to go forward and see her mother. She sat there beside Ghallon and took her mothers hand. "You scared us all." She looked back at Zhorn who stood by the doorway.
Willow smiled and gave Emily's hand a pat. "It seems I am alright now." She eyed Zhorn a moment. "Tell your boyfriend he can come in.I wont bite." Emily looked back at Zhorn knowing full well he would have heard Willows words himself.
Greenstone Castle.
Shea grinned looking at Lori with Mina. She would be a wonderful mother. She grinned at Victor,it was so rare that he agreed that she was right.
Lori smiled to Georg when he reached out to Mina. Mina smiled and giggled as she sat in Loris lap.Then bounded up and in to Georgs the moment he wiggled his fingers at her.
Shea grinned ads Georg was mini tackled by her playful offspirng. He would make a wonderful father. Mina happily nuzzled in to him.
Willow's room.
Ghallon noted how fast that Willow recovered, and would talk to Drake when he got the chance. For now he looked to Emily as she moved to his side and to her mother's side. Placing a hand over both of their's before looking to Zhorn.
Who would move closer. "You had us all worried, Willow. Next time. Try to be more careful, for your sake and their's as well." Now standing beside Emily and placed a hand to her shoulder.
Greenstone Castle.
Victor chuckled as he watched Lori and Georg with Adamina. "Those two are perfect for the other." Whispered to Shea as he looked between the two young parents to be.
Georg smiled back to both Lori and Mina, before Mina mini tackled him. With the captain catching the little Mina, and playing along with the tackle. Leaned back into the couch. "Hello, Mina." Smiling down at her, before looking to Lori. She'd catch that look he had reserved for her. Full of love and happiness.
Mina nuzzled in to Georg ,smiling and giggling.She had snuck up on him and had won. That pleased her.
Lori smiled back at him. His gaze was one full of love and happiness, oh he would be a grand father when the day came.
Shea looked on at her daughter as she nuzzled Georg. Her eyes panned up to Victor. She linked her hand with his and watched as Mina seemed content to adore Georg as if he were a teddy bear. "She likes you.." Shea grinned looking down to her daughter who loked up at her with those wide dark blue eyes. Shea shook her head softly. "You be careful Mina, Georg has to get use to your wild spirit. Hes not yet endured the gift of a wild child, though I am sure he will soon." She smirked to Lori.
Mina grinned and climbed off Georg and went tottering over to Lori. She placed her little hand on Loris stomach. "Baby.." There Mina nuzzled. Lori ran her fingers through Minas dark hair and smiled.
Miles away in the Mith Words
It was good to see Willow return home. Though Radella had made one thing very clear. Willow was to rest. Not go running about. Ghallon would see to her,Radella knew. Emily and Zhorn left with them. Those two could see to matters of the realm till Willow was up on her feet again.
Radella could see that Willow was fully healed,in body. But one did not go wandering around the world between living and dead and just go back to life as it was. Things changed when you walked so close to death. Radella found the counsel house was very quiet once more with out everyone around.
She wandered the empty garden and then turned north towards the turret room that had once been Albreda and Alfredas. It was empty now. She had seen to clearing out everything. The books had been placed in the library, the crystals to their sports in their healing rooms. The room was empty,nothing remained of Alfreda or Albreda. She thought to give the room to Kraven. He'd been staying in a guest room for so long now.
She sat outside the old building and leaned her head back to the stone. It was hard being alone. Oh she kenw she wasn't alone, there were other elders with power. Ember,in the Rose-Woods. Anarya who tended to linger in the far end of the GreenStone woods,between Fairwinds and GreenStone. But she was alone here, at the counsel house,the last of the chosen elders.
It was long ago that Astalder had chosen three of the wisest to counsel him. Alcander had followed in that. Naur Mithdome,Tara-Mandela Hawk and Ayadie Faye where his chosen. Naur was a fire mage,though not as powerful as those who came after him,ones like Keir and Alaric. Naurs powers came from a place of perfect peace, a place untouched by darkness. Tara-Mandela Hawk was the elemental mage, she could control the elements and she could also tell what children still in the womb would be born possessing. Ayadie Faye, was the seer,the wise woman,the one who helped bring children in to the world. The one Alcander trusted the most. Radella closed her eyes,her mother had been dead for many years now, the others as well.
And now Albreda and Alfreda were dead. One born to Naur and his wife.The other to Tara and her husband. They were all gone. And so were the children they had long been waiting for, those who would have taken their places one day.
Radella sighed. She missed them. They had long been brought up together. But then Alfreda and Albreda had fallen in love. Leaving Radella the odd woman out again. It was then she started dreaming about Kraven, though he hadn't taken on his form yet in her dreams. That wasn't till much later. She laughed lightly. she dreamed of a man she had known as a boy.
He had become everything she had long looked for in a man. And she had been not two feet from him, so long ago when he saved her life. She pressed her hands down, and felt the fluttering there. Oh she knew she was with child. She knew it was Kraven's. She had never been with any other man.
She could recall every moment in the cabin hidden from all else. Every last moment. She knew the moment they returned,but spoke nothing of it. A battle was upon them and no matter what she had to be there to heal, to lead the healers. She had almost gone after Willow and Drake herself. But Shea had stopped her.The wind mage was becoming more in tune with her powers,the powers she would possess as the Lady of Light and Dark. Shea knew,and said nothing to anyone.
Radella had not yet told Kraven. Oh she was sure he knew something. But how could she tell him? He was three hundred years younger than her. She wondered what he could see in her.Had he come back to her just because she had dreamed of him? She ran her hands through her long silver hair. She had aged gracefully. Strong blood,powerful blood had kept her young for a long time. She knew she didn't look her age, and thanked the gods for that. She knew she didn't look a day over thirty. But the wisdom, the age was all in her eyes.
They were naturally a green-blue closer to green than blue. But they could take on any color. More often than not they shone a deep purple. Her hair had always been silver, like her mothers . She had never known her father, he had died in Alcander's war with Keir. Ayadie had spoken of him, a strong handsome man, who knew his power.
She wondered if Kraven would be happy to hear that she was with child. She had brought so many in to the realm over the years, she knew what to expect. She knew the child would be born gifted. He or she would likely bare the same mark she had, the crescent moon. It was the old way, the way of marking those blessed or doomed with the sight to foresee things.
Being able to see things, had not always been a good thing. She couldn't do much to prevent wars,or death.But she could give advice,and sometimes save someone. Yet the sight didn't always come. She had been taught all the magics,and knew everything.But then there was always more to learn... How to heal with a word or a bandage. What spells to teach to those learning. Who to end to the elemental healing rooms. How to bring a child in to the world.
She had wed many over the years. Stood as they said their vows. It was something she would never tire of. She had watched many pass in to the afterlife. She had walked the plain between life and death three hundred times. It had nearly taken her the first time,but she had grown stronger. She had found so many who lingered between and helped them to pass on. She had brought many back from that place, and also from a sure death.
She had walked in to others dreams,and seen in to places she had never set foot upon.
She knew the child within her would be half vampire. He or she would age far more gracefully than she ever could. She looked up to the stars. It would be a beautiful child, boy or girl. It would be well cared for and well taught.
She knew the risks. She knew ..there were always risks with baring children. And she wasn't young anymore, she could die in the process. But it would be well worth it. She had everything laid out, every book,every scroll, every bit of info Kraven would need to raise a child that would be a seer and wise one day. But Radella planed on being there.
She starred up at the stars. She remembered the day he saved her life. He was little more than a boy then. A young man. He had risked his life to save her. Shea lay dying, and the man whom had killed her still stood. Radella would have fallen then for sure if not for Kraven. She had given him a medallion, a token. It was silver large as a coin and bore the elven runes for warrior and hero. He had disappeared after that, and she had not seen him. Then in her dreams he had come, and was drawn back.
He had told her why he had come back. For the fight. The battle that was now done. She leaned back against the stone wall. Would he leave now? If had merely returned for the battle... Radella closed her eyes tight and fought back the tears that wanted to be shed. She had no hold on him, she reminded herself. Yes they had shared some very powerful and intimate moments together before the battle. But that didn't mean he would wish to stay.
She pressed her hand over her heart. She was in love with him, she knew that. There was nothing she could do about it. She opened her eyes and starred back up at the stars. She would tell him soon,of the child. She wasn't sure she could tell him that she was in love with him.Shed been in love with him from the moment they met again. He needed to know of the child at the very least. All she had to do was gain some courage.
It was good to be home.
God it was good to be home. Radella had given her the go ahead. Ghallon had promised Radella that Willow would not be going about doing buisness. Emily and Zhorn could see to small affairs of state,and if anything arose he would see to them himself.
Willow went from one bed to being carried by Ghallon through the portal.
Emily and Zhorn followed. Willow grinned over his shoulder at the pair.Her daughter was in love, it was plain to see. Willow would have a chat with Zhorn soon, but nto today. Today she sat in one of the large chairs by the window looking out to the city beyond. She coudl see the old Oak inn far below her to the north. She was resting, just not laid up in bed. Ghallon had gone down to get her some food and tea.Emily sat there int he other chair making sure her mother didnt do anything she wasnt supposed to.
Willow felt as if she was some fraglie thing. It wasnt as if she hadnt died before. "Emily dear, you don't have to sit here,I wont go running about. You should be outside,enjoying the day, with that handsome drow on your arm."
Emily flushed lightly. "Mother..I promised I would help look after you."
Willow shook her head. "And you do, I trust you and Zhorn to look after the affairs of state..of the realm until I am fit enough to go walking about ending to them myself again. Ghallon is taking very good care of me." She grinned at her daughter.
Emily sighed. Her mother was a wild one,for sure. "Fine,I shall go. Zhorn was going to walk around town see if anything was up.I will go join him."Willow smiled. "Good,and if you could please tell him Id like to speak with him later."
Emily cast a cool look over her shoulder. But then figured it wasnt worth fighting,Willow would talk to him one way or the other. Emily walked from the room and passed Ghallon in the hallway. "You might need a huge ball of twine and some chains to keep her down for long.." Emily headed on.
Willow grinned to Ghallon as he came in with her tray of food, and tea for two. As he sat it before her she kissed his cheek.
