Topic: OOC:Beltane

So as many of RDI users know every years in May RDI has/holds a Beltane festival. And most years I try to have at least one of my characters make it there. This year will try with one of my lesser known characters . But as I the role player and writer live on the west coast most of the fun is over and done by the time I can sign in and get anyone there.

So this year like may years past I am going to throw a party for Beltane in Edhel Ndor. Held at GreenStone Castle.

All alliance members are welcome as well as anyone else who wishes to attend. GreenStone can be reached from Rhydin by portal if your allowed, ie: if your an ally, or bare the alliance pendant or one of the blue greenstones Shea might have given you, or if you have an invite. GreenStone can also be reached from Rhydin by horse back, but once more you must know the way. Its about a four day ride. ( If you have someone you wish to attend, who is not an alliance member or doesn't know the way to GreenStone please pm me. )

The theme this year

Under the Surface :Behind the Veil

What does that mean?

is simple. dress to your darker or lighter side. if your character is known as a good guy/girl dress them darkly in dark tones.. and vice versa

I will give an example.

Salice: High Queen of GreenStone. Noble, honest, trustworthy, an all around white hat. As she is widely known But those who know her well know she ahs a darker side. So the queen will be dressing to that side. And known for the night as Salice GreenStone the Dark Queen..

I will have fashion for the many ladies posted here. Along with the names I have given them and why I named them that for the night.

major costumes aren't required but formal attire is. ladies in dresses, gents in suits or at least dress pants or a dress jacket. Button down shirt, you know classy please. Cloaks are still allowed, as it is a fashion. As well as dressing to your opposite side. If your light dress dark, if your dark dress light. If your known as a good doer, this night your wicked.. etc.

When I post he fashions it will make a bit more since visually.

I am also going to do my very best to find pictures to depict the inside of GreenStone Castle.

Its should be grand fun. There will be food and music. I may even go as far as creating a list like they do for RDI's Beltane.

So I have received some good vibes about this Beltane event. And some questions were posed so I shall answer them so everyone can understand more about it.

Where is this event taking place? : The Realm of Edhel Ndor: Castle GreenStone

Is this event a live play event? : No, fully posts only.

How do I "my character" get on the invited list? Simply ask. (send me a pm or if you spot Shea or another of my ladies in live play ask her.

How does one become an official Alliance member? Again ask. Knowing Shea or another member helps.

Info on the Alliance.

The Alliance was created not all that long ago when Edhel Ndor ,Crendia ,Sim'Tahl and Nosgoth all became allies. ( through marriage of charries, and other some such fun )( I play lots of ladies and a few gents from each realm and Darkmere Alcar is the "creator/owner" if you will of Nosgoth, but I use the realm itself much in my own postings.)

As to whom you can contact for right now for more info, on this event or on becoming a full on member. lets leave it at these names: DevilishOne , JadeRosenWolfe , Hera Fyre, Lorelie , Vanessa Emili Winters , or Cadaria. through pms. But DevilishOne , JadeRosenWolfe , or Hera Fyre being the best bets. Or email me the writer if you have access to my email ,and if you want it ask for it( my email address ) in pm to DevilishOne.

As to how to get to Edhel Ndor. Its a four day ride, past the mts. To get there by horse back. I once had Shea and Connor take this route. And may be able to dig up those details if anyone's taking traditional methods.

Magically is the easiest way. Edhel Ndor, along will all the allied realms is connected to Rhydin. Through portals. They are not hugely cloaked portals or anything. There are many in the city and on the outskirts. ( Now I always figured one would have to have an alliance pendant, a blue/green gem or a token from Shea to get through these portals.. but honestly anyone could likely just pass through. Perhaps for this instance I will make a code word, an open sesame word for any who wish to join and do not own a token. "Upon my words. Grant me passage to Edhel Ndor." or in elven " Deno' amin beth. Lav amin tarna a' Edhel Ndor. " Then a portal would open there before the person, and no the person would not have to be magically able to summon it. They would simply have to have the will to do it and good intent. There will be no fighting at this event. )

As to who can become an ally? Anyone honestly. If your character wishes to become a full on ally of the realms please let me know. But this event is open to anyone who wishes to come. And if you own a token from Shea ie: the blue green gem she has given to a few, or an alliance pendant or any token the wind mage may have given you, you "your charrie" have an all access pass to the allied realms.

Just please stick to the rules which I will state here in.

1. there will be no fighting at this event. Weapons are welcome, but are not to be used unless some truly evil foe descends upon the party which I honestly hope it does not. No blood shed please.

2. Ladies must be in formal attire, long dresses or if one is not partial to dresses a long skirt or "suit " attire. Please.

3. gents must be in suits, dress pants, or dress shirt and jacket. Cloaks are welcome all around. No simple clothing please.

4. if your character is attending please stick to the theme rule: Under the Surface: Behind the Veil : ie :Dress your opposite . If your a good guy, dress like your wicked. if your a bad guy dress in the palest tones you dare to wear. my example: Salice GreenStone: High Queen of GreenStone. She is noble and good and very pure. A true white hat if you will. For this night she will be in dark tones, and I have thus named her The Dark Queen for the night. As I post my costume wears for the ladies of the party the idea hopefully will flow more easily.

5. who can come? anyone honestly. But Allies, friends/ fans of the folder and my characters are all welcome to come. If any need some sort of official pm invite. Please let me know. But your welcome to spread the word.

6. Since it is not a live event and fully in post. It will be open for longer than say Rhydin's Beltane. I hope to have the official thread which will be call Edhel Ndor Beltane open by May 1st. It will run for a few days or even a week if need be. The party itself would in all truth last from may 1st about dusk till may 2nd or 3rd. But posting will likely last longer.

7. Can my character stay at the castle? Yes please! stay the night or a few days. See the realm. If your character wishes to stay over night there are many rooms and I will post a few pictures up to display the fine guest rooms at the castle. And if your character wishes for a tour of Edhel Ndor or even to see the rest of the allied realms that can be arranged. Just ask.

8. will there be food? goddess yes. I will make a nice menu up for the night, and the days after too.

9. will there be music? yes, there shall be music. not a dj per say, but a small orchestra or summoned music. as I do have many magic users.

10. Should/ can I bring my kids? children? If you must bring a child with you understand that young children will be put to bed in a safe place before the full party breaks out. Shea as well as many of my other ladies do have children. And they, the younger ones at least will be put to bed in nice cozy rooms with maids to watch over them. So no need to worry. Older children are welcome to attend.. lets say at least of the age of 18, or able to handle adult things. As the party idea is a bit darkly toned.

11. Why Under the Surface :Behind the Veil for a theme. It seems a bit dark. I love the idea of people dressing to their opposites. It can show a part of their personality that most people don't see.

12. Can I post pictures of what my characters / characters will be wearing? Yes please do post them to the OOC here. I love pictures. They tell so much. I will be posting many in the days to come.

13. Can I help with the planning of this event? Please if you have an idea, a suggestion, or other advice please pm me. If your character wishes to serve a specific purpose at this event, such as a bartender, etc. Let me know at the moment all my "servants".. and such will be npcs.

A final word or two.

I am so pleased that people are excited about the Beltane event. I hope it turns out as well as possible. I know people may feel like I am stepping on their toes. But I do hope not. It is held around the same time of Rhydin's Beltane, but being a fully posted event and one I will keep open for a few days if not longer I hope that others will find I am not trying to step on Rhydin's Beltane. Merely hold something for my clan of wacky charries and their allies since I can not often make Rhydin's celebrations in time. I am west coast and by the time I get on The Beltane for Rhydin is usually over or nearly so. I have had a few charries attend in the past and may have one attend yet this year, but this event is so most of my charries can have a bit of a party. And also for fun.

Once I get to posting more info on it hopefully everyone will see that its just for fun. and not to step on any toes.

There is anything else I can provide any one with with please let me know. And honestly if anyone wishes to be a full on member of my Alliance let me know. And if anyone wishes a token from Shea just ask. She is easy to like and makes friends rather quickly, even more so now that she is brimming with power.

Things I should mention on further.

On magic and Beltane

Yes magic is welcome as are magic users . Many of my characters use magic and know much of it. So others who use it are welcome. There will be no violence though. No magic duels etc. But there may be floating plates, glasses and other some such, as Shea is about. And perhaps a few pretty magical displays.

on technology and Edhel Ndor.

Yes if your character is from some future place where gizmos and do dads and some such are used, they are welcome to come and welcome to bring their items with them. But understand that only a few of the guests there will truly understand those items. And that person may get a lot of questions and odd looks now and then. But if they can stand being asked about it, and honestly answer then come on over. Shea and a those who have been to Rhydin are more used to things of the normal nature, things we ( you, me, everyone in 2014) use likely everyday. (like cell phones, I pads and even to some extend cars and motorized vehicles)

but yes if your character is some space pirate they are still welcome to come. if they are some techy robot, they can come too. Ask and ye shall be granted an invite.

Can my non human/ normal creature come?

yes please.. bring your wolf, dog, cat, lizard, unicorn, Pegasus, dragon, kirin, bull, angel, devil.. creature or what ever you may have to the party. half breeds, demons, vampires, elves, humans.. fairies.. etc . all are welcome.

can my really wicked/evil character come? sure, bring in the dark prince, the wicked king, the vile vampire. But he or she will have to dress in light tones, remember the theme. And if he or she is wicked and evil, tonight (for the Beltane ) they are good, and nice. Its like putting on mask for the night.

The Dark Brooding Bastard of A King: aka Darkmere will not be so dark, or so brooding. The sweet innocent angelic Cadaria will be a vixen in red.. hopefully you get the idea.

It is Dae: The Silver Dragon of Edhel Ndor. He holds the GreenStone Gem in his talons. It lays on a deep green backing. Either a flag or the usual GreenStone Cloak.

And no he wont be at the Festival. But he does keep watch. There are other notable dragons of The realm as well. But It is unlikely any will attend the party. Or in fact be seen.

the Allied Realms have many dragon friends, and allies. And they are welcome to attend the party. Even in full dragon form. Though the castle does not have a dragon access point. Say like the inn does. There will be out door activities and places to lay, sit and talk with friends for all.

The season in Edhel Ndor now is Spring. The days are very nice the nights can be slightly chilly. But there will be an essence of warmth to the party. Provided by the resident mages.

They now both reside in Crendia. Being not truly dark and not truly light. She is more of a gray hat. A middle of the road kind of vampire.

Anarya keeps counsel for the dragons of the allied realms and has some dragon blood mixed with her own since becoming The Mistress. She is wise, and powerful and often misunderstood.

Shea GreenStone Walsh. The middle sister. Born of the wind elemental. Shea served as a knight along side her sisters when her brother ruled. She met the first mans he ever loved in that time and had her son Aiden. Adaron her first love was killed by her brother. Shea did love again, in Crendia and then again in Rhydin. She lost the paladin in Crendia to darkness and war and lost Connar Valdor to his Earthly ties. She met Victor Walsh in Rhydin and they fell in love. They were married and bonded. Shea has under gone the most change of any , her powers have grown as she transitions to The Lady of Light and Dark. History

Shea is a powerful ally, as well as foe. She has made many friends and allies in Rhydin and will serve the lost city for as long as she is able.

Harenya Feanor: Vicious Dark Elf of Feanor

Harenya Feanor: Hails from the realm of the fire elementals. Feanor. In fact she's the last daughter of royalty. Her dark skin is of dark elf blood, but she's more than that, unlike other dark elves her hair is black as night and eyes are a red orange tone.. A true fire elemental she can turn in to living flame. She came to be apart of the alliance after falling in love with Kegan Alder, one of the members of the mages counsel. though a fire elemental she is rather a gentle soul.

Music

Instruments Used by the Elves

Harp ? A smaller version than the human instrument, triangular in shape with between 20 to 36 strings. They usually have a standard sounding box and curving fore-pillar.

Horn Harp ? Although similar in size to the human instrument, it is made from the horn of some great beast. The sounds comeing from it are wholely dependent on the nature of the crafter as well as the type of horn used.

Flute - A long tube of metal, or metal reinforced wood; rarely of crystal. Some are played held horizontally, others vertically . The sound is made by blowing across a hole, and different notes are made by covering the holes with the fingers.

Crystal flute ? similar in appearance to an Irish or Chinese flute but not made of wood. Formed by magic using same crystal used in many elven buildings

Twin flute ? A single reed instrument that branches out into two arms, each similar in appearance to an Irish or Chinese flute. Formed by magic using metal, metal reinforced wood; clay or crystal. Both the arms have holes, and different notes are made by covering the holes with the fingers, allowing a skilled musician to play 2 different tunes using the same breath.

Birdpipes ? similar to pan pipes. Popular with wood elven and even wild elven bards.

Shalaquin - a long-necked elven instrument played by plucking or strumming while changing the tension of the strings with a ratcheted wheel.

Elven Lyre - This stringed instrument produces a calming and exquisite sound, and is prized among bards of any race. The body is semi-sphereical and supports two arms that curve inward, with a crossbar keeping from 4 to 8 strings taut.

Lute ?Generic name for a family of instruments with an oval or pear shaped body about half the size of a guitar. It has six metal strings, or four paired strings, and a long neck.

Mandolin ? A much smaller instrument than the lute, usually with four strings, sometimes paired, and a shorter neck.

Hammer Dulcimer ? This has a large flat body, with many paired metal strings stretched over a series of bridges. It is played flat on a frame or on the lap, using a small hammer in each hand to hit the strings.

Glaur ? a short curved horn resembling a cornucopia, used by gold elves.

Longhorn ? a kind of Faerunian flute common in civilised areas and among the elves.

Events:

The night will begin with a welcome from Salice GreenStone High Queen of GreenStone.

There will be a treasure hunt for any children that come. This will begin before sundown. More info on that below.

There will be dancing inside the throne room, as well as outside through out the party.

There will be Bobbing for Apples outside over seen by Lori Aurdon

There will be a carriage with driver ready to take any who wish to go in to town to see the village. As well as take any who wish to go to The Valley Of Dae. This is a special treat and one of the Alliance will be your come along guide.

There will be fireworks.

Magical displays near the gardens.

A castle tour for any curious minds. Given by a member of the alliance.

There will snacks all around the castle both inside and out.

There will be servers walking about with drinks, and food through out.

There will also be a floating glass,plate or any matter of who knows what.
As Shea and a few mages are about. So do not be surprised if your drink floats to you.

There will be a bar set up inside and outside with full service. There will eb guards to great you at the main gates as well as at the main doors. They will be about for protection purposes only. (Note: All guards, and servers are NPC at the moment. But think of it as the finest npc service you have ever had. You ask for something and it is brought to you with a smile. )

Dinner will be served both inside and out. There is a large dinning room with seating for 70 people at the table. But guests are welcome to dine in the lounge,study,or any open room of the castle. They are also welcome to dine outside. There will be covered places to sit, and an essence of warmth so none shall go cold.

There will be plenty of food and drink for all who attend. With all the magic users about one will only need to ask if there is something they might want or need.

There will be Stories told by the fire light. both indoors and out.

The Sisters GreenStone are known for their impromptu activities. So there may be much more that goes on.

For any children who come and wish to have a bit of fun before they are safety tucked away. Adults can play and help too.

Each child will be given a basket to put their items in. Items can be found on the first floor of the castle,as well as outside in the gardens and stable. And if the child so chooses they can have the help of one of the Alliance guests. (A full guest list will be below.) There are 21 items to be found. Each hidden by one of the lovely Ladies of The Alliance.

Edhel Ndor

From South to North

Starting in the far South West. The ocean sits in the west of the realm, it spans for miles down the south west coast. At the far edge are The Silver Waters cliffs which are buffed by the silver river which is fed from the sea. It flows to the east through the Mith Woods and over falls in to the Silver Waters Lake, which in habits a dragon near by. Within the Mith woods sits The Counsel house where Radella and Kraven live. Just to the north of the wood sits the town of Gold Feather.

West of Gold Feather along the coast sit Sliver Waters Castle and Keep. Here also sits the main port for the whole of Edhel Ndor. The kingdom is buffed on the north and by the Myst River, The Black Thorne Wood which spreads tot he east and north and the Blood Myst cliffs that buffer the coast. Beyond the Black Thorne Wood sits the town of Sapphire Star. Just to the North of the town sits The Castle and Keep of Golden Vine. Ruled by Dylan Golden Vine.

Just to the North East of the castle sits the village of Dark Silver Myst. To The North of GoldenVine across the plain sits the Town MoonWolf. To The North of MoonWolf sits The Rose Wood. Which spread from the west to east where it buffers on the edge of a might lake. North of the Wood sits the Town of Silver Arrow. To the North East of the town sits the ruins of The Castle of Ruby Rain. At the far North West of the ruins sits The town of Rose-Whip, of which Shavyn GreenStone is the Duchess and over seer.

In the South sits the Castle and Keep of Amethyst Rose which is ruled by Dristan D?KeRose and his wife Hope. Just to the North West of the castle sits the village Myst and just tot he North East The Village of Jadelle. To the East of Jadelle sits the range of The Blue Mountains. To the North of Jadelle sits the Town of Emerald Moon. To the North West of Emerald Moon sits The Town of Laremont. North of Laremont sits the town of Althea. To the west of Althea sits the Large town of Light Blade which buffers the Lake of Dae, and The Dark Enchanted wood.

Just to the East of Althea sits The Town Iron Winds and in the far east, The village of Misty Breeze. North East of Althea sits the Town of Harpsing. To the East of Harpsing sits FairWinds Castle. Ruled by Duchan FairWinds and his wife Mai. North of FairWinds sits the large lake which inhabits a dragon. North of The lake and falls s the Realm of The Dark Willow. Part of The Dark Enchanted wood which holds a very old tree which is guarded by a black dragon.

The Dark Enchanted Wood spreads from East to West for three miles till it hits the edge of the lake near LightBlade. It spreads South to North for two miles till it buffers against the first foothills of the GreenStone Mountains.

For Beltane the Woodland path will be lit by lights and guarded by the finest archers in all the realms. Beyond the wood are the foothills of the first Mountains of GreenStone. they rise high in tot he sky and beyond the cloud bank. The tops of this might range of Mountains is always covered with snow. But one with good sight might note that the tallest peek is not snow topped but ever green. This is where A shrine of sorts sits for Alcander GreenStone. It is also where Shea nearly had died twice. It was made green forever by Victor.

There is one way past these mountains a small pass, or road way if you will to the far eastern end. This pass is unblocked and usually unguarded. beyond this pass is The Valley of Dae a massive space spanning thee miles to the west where it flows in to the banks of a massive lake known simply as GreenStone Lake. Or the Lake of Stars. With in This Valley sits the Sacred Tree.

A massive tree that would take many grown men standing hand in hand to encompass its huge size. The tree has a will, mind and voice of its own for those willing and open to it. It will be lit with soft glowing blue lights for Beltane. Beyond the Valley Is another set of large mountains. These not quite as tall as the first. Only the very tallest peek is capped with snow most times of the year. There is a pass in these Mountains as well. Yet here you will find a large iron gate, and a set of small towers. Here will stand the best of GreenStone guard and above in the tower the best shots on The GreenStone archers. The guards will welcome anyone coming through these gates.

Its gardens to the east is cemetery to the west and beyond the lake far in the west. Guardsmen and women will be on patrol. There will be stable hands ready for any manor of creature that may need boarding for the night or a few days.

The fest will take place both inside and outside. The castle is very large six floors tall along with a few hidden areas. The first floor will be fully open to the guests. Guests rooms will be available upon request. A stone stair leads you to large doors which will be open for the fest.

Beyond the doors is the entry hall. There will be a man and woman there ready to take coats or bags to place them in safe places. The hall way leads all the way back through the castle. To the left are the softly curving steps to the higher levels. To the right through a door which will be open is the lounge. With is cozy chairs and nooks, and fine large hearth. There will be food and drink within as well as servants walking about with trays. Going Northward through the lounge and through an door. There is the massive dinning hall. With its long table and many chairs. in the far right of the room is a small hearth. There are windows here to gaze out to the gardens. Beyond the Dinning hall tot he north is the massive kitchen which will be very busy for the Fest.

Back in the entry hall if one were to go straight and then to the left past the stairs there is a study. This room will be open. It is full of books and scrolls, cozy chairs and warm places to sit and enjoy a drink or a conversation. Beyond the study down the hall is the training room, this room will be closed but if someone wishes to see within, merely ask your host. Salice GreenStone or one of the alliance members.

Beyond the Training room tot he north is the massive throne room, which will be open. This is where much of the indoor dancing shall be done The thrones are gone and the room will be filled with light from the fire place at the west wall. there will be chairs and a few small tables about to sit, and eat or drink or take a rest. there is also a large window seat at the far north end of the room. Outside the throne room just tot he north west of the kitchen sits the down stairs bathroom. If one wishes a full tour of the castle please feel free to ask. There will be a few guided tours showing off some of the key places.

Quest rooms are located on the second and third floors. Please feel free to stay the night or a few days. Children of a young age will be taken care of by the many well trained maids and Vanya Alcar upstairs once the party had begun. But there will be an event for the kids just before it turns dark. More info on that later.

The stables are housed just beyond the castle. There will be plenty of room for any stallion, mare or any ridden creature within. they will be well fed and cared for. And yes if someone appears in some manner of other transport it will get a few odd looks but also have a place to be put, parked etc.

GreenStone castle is very old. It was built by Astalder GreenStone ages ago. Salice has done a few remodeling tid bits over the last few years but it remains mostly the same. It does have electricity, and common comforts like running water, great rooms and good food.

Magic abounds in Edhel Ndor. And there is a pulse to the land and the people if any are open to the feeling.

There is much history in the castle and for anyone curious ask Shea, Shavyn or Salice for a tour. They know the most about the castle and its relics.

Guest Rooms and Bath Rooms

Every guest room has its own bathroom. Some rooms are larger than others.Every room can sleep two adults and if needs be children as well. For the party chidlren will have their own rooms and also be in the play room up stairs. They will be under careful care.

All rooms come with every thing one coudl want but no modern things outside of the great plumbing features and electirc lighting. There is also a fire palce in many of th rooms.There are rooms witha view, and small terrices as well.

Aiden GreenStone: Son of Shea GreenStone and her first love Adaron Istalindir. Born of mage and druid blood. He has both types of magic. He is in his first century of life but looks no older than 20. He is taller than his short statured mother at 5' 8''. he has her dark blue hair which he wears long. His eyes are also dark blue. He is Married to Mila (GreenLeaf)GreenStone and has a son Adaron named for Aiden's father who is
four and a daughter Amaleigh who is three. Aiden is a very noble man and for Beltane will be dressed in all black. He is at the fest with his wife Mila.

Kulbin Binoa: Brother to Sira Binoa. Husband to Shavyn GreenStone. Kulbin hails from Crendia originally, but his family line goes back to Sim'Tahl where his sister now rules. He was born a dune elf, od druid magic. He is an expert with earth based magic's. Stands an even six feet tall, with long brownish red hair and emerald toned eyes. For Beltane Kulbin will be wearing black dress pants, a green dress shirt and black cloak. he is at the fest with his wife Shay.

Kegan Alder : The elder mage of fire for the Mages counsel. He hails from Feanor the realm of the fire elemental. Like all elementals he can turn fully in to his element fire. Harenya Feanor is his date for the eve.

Damek Kaniel : The elder mage of earth of the mages counsel. he hails from Arda the realm of the earth elemental. He stands an even six feet tall with brown hair and green eyes. As an earth elemental he is very gentle, so for Beltane he will be in very dark greens and black.

If anyone wishes for an ally pendant that is not of the current alliance please let me know. I had 40 made. If your a fan of the forum , a friend of mine.. or an ally to Shea, Jade, Hera or any of the ladies of the alliance.. you might just get one. I don't just want to send them to everyone lol, I have a few I know that would like one, and if your on that list and you don't get one in the next few days, poke me with a stick.

I am also making an icon for my Beltane. I need a few ideas to spin a round, to finish it. But if your charrie (s) comes to my Beltane you will get one.

Please pm me if you wish to be an ally of The Alliance and are already not. If you have a token from Shea : IE a coin or the blue green gem she gave out to a few your an ally. And an elf friend. To at the very least Shea.

Guests are coming in. And soon they will all be there. Once they are the treasure hunt will commence. I have held off sundown till all the children who might end up coming are there.

Then the party shall begin. Already food and drink are floating about, or being carried about by servants. The children who are still awake and able to be apart of the treasure hunt are in the throne room while more guests come.

The thread is open to any who wish to come.

And if you wish to have an ally pendant for your charrie and haven't gotten one. PM me. I want to give them to allies of Shea, Jade or Hera. Fans of the forum and the friends I and Shea have made here.

If you fall in to any of those categories and I have not yet given you an ally pendant PM me. I wanted to send them to many people but have been very careful about it so far, I don't want to over step.

Have You Ever Wondered?

I posed this question to myself today. If I was an outsider coming to Beltane. Would I feel welcome? And I would say yes to that. I would. For Edhel Ndor in my mind has always been a welcoming place. GreenStone top notch and the Alliance and all its members even those who ar "Darker" toned are rather friendly.

But then I got to thinking, if I was an outside would I be able to pronounce all these strange names?

I would likely make a mess of it. So for those who still may come or for curious minds here's some pronunciations:

Salice GreenStone Pronounced: Sa-leece. GreenStone. Green Stone. (I don't think that one is to hard. )

Sira, Sirannon Binoa: Pronounced: Sear-a. Sirannon: Pronounced Sear-ann-on. Binoa: Pronounced Bin-O-ah (Ah as in Ah that's nice)

Jade Rosemonte-Wolfe Alcar: Jade, ( really simple) Rose-Monte-Wolfe : Rose Monte( with an accent on the e) Wolfe ( silent e) Alcar. Pronounced: Al-Car.

Audrey Alcar - Pronounced: Aud-ree Al-Car

Lorelei Aurdon- Pronounced: Lor-e-lie Aur-don

Shavyn . Shay. Pronounced Shy-ven, or Shaven ( like "I am going to have my head shaven") Shay. Pronounced: Shy

Easy. Shay is pronounced Shy.. like I am really a shy person. Her full name is produced Shaven (like I am going to get my head shaven) or Shy-Ven depending on who's speaking to her. And Shea is like the butter, not She-a
but Shea all one syllable.

the guests are nearly all here. Just a few left. Then Once all have gathered Salice will welcome everyone and the hunt for treasure can begin.

Salice is about to welcome everyone and the kids who are old enough and still a wake are about to go looking for the treasures hidden. After that is done and the night ahs begun the kids who will be tuckered out will go up to bed and the adults will begin their night.

The party ahs begun the sun is starting to set and the children have been unleashed to find all the treasures.

Can you guess which lady of the Alliance hid which item?

The treasure hunt.

For any chidlren who come and wish to have a bit of fun ebfore they are safetly tucked away. Adults can play and help too.

Each child will be given a basket to put their items in. Items can be found on the first floor of the castle,as well as outside in the gardens and stable. And if the child so chooses they can have the help of one of the Alliance guests. (A full guest list will be below.) There are 21 items to be found.Each hidden by one of the lovely Ladies of The Alliance.

Beltane isn't over. Its hit a slight snag. But we are getting to it. Also back to the live play some nights and soon back to business in Rhydin.

Hera, Jade and even the wind mage may be seen in the city sooner rather than later.

I was reminded recently of just how long Hera's been in this fight. Shea too. Its been a long battle.

Soon the party will end and the story will return to The History thread and Back in the Game.

But for now everyone enjoy the rest of Beltane.

Beltane is nearly at its end. Soon the night will be done and the guests will retire.

I do hope that everyone has enjoyed the reading.

I enjoyed putting it all together. And maybe next year I will help with Rhydins Beltane or another event rather than hold one on my own. It is a lot of work.

Even though the event is coming to an end I still invite people to post in the thread. And not only the Beltane thread. For those who have been given an Ally Pendant and those who are fans, or followers of the threads here in I welcome you to post.

This goes for any of my forums (Many know I play many other charries about and if you know who they are then you know which other forums I have. If you don't know who they are and want to know shoot me a pm. I may just tell you)

But please post away. I am very friendly and open to ideas. If you have something in mind you want one of the many ladies I play to be apart of please let me know.

I love working with different ideas and in different SLs.

As I come to the end of Beltane a new thread will begin. The history thread will continue and it will bleed in to the new thread. They will be connected. For as Shea's power grows and the history of all that was Edhel Ndor comes to light. There will be more stories to tell.

Not just Arcaena and Reneli's tale. But the tale of the powerful women that followed in Arcaena's blood line. Dasyra her daughter and Gwaeron. Their tale will follow. Then to Cala and The Silver Warrior Iliv.

Once those tales are written. More will have happened in Edhel Ndor.

Arcaena's tale is not yet done. There more yet.

But through it we will begin to see Shea transcend. Becoming more and more power. And not just with her given element of wind. But with all the elements. For those who have been reading the Beltane Thread. The Of magic post s a nice look at the growth of many of the charries. And Shea as well.

It gives you a look at those who are not known for their magic. But through time and tide those people have grown and become stronger. Like Sira and Aiden. Two not known for much in the way of magical arts.

And yes as I hinted before something is coming to Edhel Ndor. Oh the realm ahs seen battles and wars before. And the allies have rallied against those foes time and time again.

Which foe will come this time? That I can not say yet. It may be more than one.

But change is coming. A powerful change.

Until then please enjoy the rest of the Beltane Thread.
