The Flash

The Crimson Flash has typically worked alone. Almost exclusively, in fact. In most situations, with typical thugs, he needs no help. They simply are too slow to really fight back. And in the case of those who pose a real threat, the types with magics or powers, he often has to make split-nanosecond decisions, without having time to explain or share plans.

Working alone is just easier. When working alone, he has no need to worry about someone else taking fire. He doesn?t have to keep track of allies as well as enemies. He can simply do what needs to be done.

That doesn?t always work, however, as he is fast learning. Sometimes, you need to find people better suited for a situation. People with knowledge. Or skills. Or, simply, power. Power is needed, at times.

And so he made a list. It was a short one because, unfortunately, the scarlet speedster doesn?t often travel in the same circles as those he would want help from. It was made shorter by the fact that one of those who would normally be on the list was currently incarcerated, a fact he learned only after making his list.

He walked to the market, to capture the interest of two of the pages (a task made easier by the fact that he was in costume). Of the first two that came to him, one seemed far more shrewd than the other. This one was given the more difficult assignment. One who was being sought had not been seen, and no longer resided in the inn. This page was given the name of a place of business, and a description, and sent off to learn what he could, and pass on a message if he learned anything useful. The other page was simply given an address to deliver his letter to. That one, he was fairly certain would get through. Whether or not either of the recipients would be willing and able to help..that, he couldn?t say.

Missives sent out, he sighed. Now he had to decide just how to go about talking to the watchmen at the garrison.
