A Stitch in Time was a bit slow in that hour just after the morning rush and just before lunch. Erin, sitting at the counter by herself today(Ivy had worked the entire day before), was sewing this green and purple and pink dress she had been working on all week. It was just the hem that was left, and no matter what she did it was coming crooked. Finger prick after finger prick, she sighed heavily.
The jingle from the bell on the door didn't cause her to jump anymore. Erin, sitting on that stool in the back, would just look up, smile and say hello. It was this way that she greeted whoever it was that just walked in.
"Hi, welcome to the Stitch, if you need anything, just--" Her eyes locked on the tall, thin blonde. The woman radiated sweetness in a way that was unmistakable. Her blue eyes rested on Erin who hastily put the dress she was working on aside. "Lane..."
The small mad englishwoman scampered to her feet and around the counter. She came about a foot from Lane before just stopping short. Should she hug her? Should she hide? Erin wasn't quite sure what to do and her hands found their way deep inside her pockets. Her head dropped, unruly frizz posing as curls falling into her face.
"Uh... hi....?" And she dared to look up, to search in the blues of her once time family, one time friend.
