The Nimble Thimble had been doing well at the Tropicana Sands. So well in fact, that Piper could finally afford to rent a cottage closer to the small building where she spun her wheel of creations and where the kiln was fired up each evening without fail.

With the new place situated halfway to the Market Square and closer to the Pegasi racetracks, she could have the best of both worlds and get out from under the feet of the real workers at The Stitch in Time.

Honestly, she'd never been much of a sales person. Actually hindering the sales when she was too vocal or wrinkled her nose at rather large women trying to squeeze into size seven dresses.

Naturally, she was going to miss the girl?s constant chatter and the mishaps that went on daily while running a clothing store. But, in having a place to call her own once more, there would be no need to find a means of hauling each new piece across town every other day.

The shelves she?d had especially made and delivered to the store had already been hauled off to the new place. Those pieces that were still in the store were left purposely for Erin and Lydia, in gratitude for their generosity in letting her display the pottery among their own lovely creations.

And so it was, with a last look around the silent store and that ghost of a smile, she took a moment longer to admire the flattering attire and knitting, so carefully placed to it?s best advantage, before the door was closed behind her and she started off across the square for home. She'd probably be back in no time to claim that pink number for herself.
