Lirssa Sarengrave

Lirssa stopped her pell mell running across The Marketplace only a few feet from the front entrance of A Stitch in Time. She had worn her good skirt of softened wool, her best leggings that weren?t an odd weaving of multiple colors, the good boots, and the pressed wool and cotton blend tunic of green with embroidery her mother had delicately stitched upon the cuffs and collar. Lirssa had even managed to get her strawberry blonde hair into a manageable condition by placing a ribbon in it to keep it from her face.

Checking herself over once more for any scuffs or dirt, she entered the shop and went looking for whoever was in charge while Miss Lydia and Miss Erin were out. The persons mentioned to her were Ivy and Griffith, so that?s whom she would seek. Hopefully Miss Lydia had mentioned that Lirssa would be helping at the store to earn a new set of motley.

A thrill of delight added a hop in two of Lirssa's steps and a beam to her smile. New motley was something she had to earn on her own, and she agreed with her parents on that matter. They provided everything else for her, so if she wanted to pursue her continued tumbling and entertaining acts, then she would have to provide the gear it required.

Work never troubled Lirssa. She had been abandoned by her first parents when very young. Her older brother had tried to help out, but he was not much more than a lad himself at the time. Lirssa?s tumbling talents and her skill for memorization helped her survive the streets as did her old, dearly departed friend, Bubber. That Bubber was a street tramp and rarely had more than five coins to rub together was of no matter. He protected her from seedier side of street life, and taught her how to use her tumbling talents to earn enough for them both to eat and have some meager living.

But he was gone now, and her new parents took great care of her with a home and family. They could not change her spirit though, so now she stood in the shop with the fancy clothes, jewelry, and other items to earn her new motley the only way she knew how: hard work and a little spunk.

?Hello?? she walked deeper into the shop. ?Miss Lydia said I could help out here.? She waited with eager anticipation for her work of the day.
