Well, Dakota had been planning on doing this for a while, and today was the day he decided to finally break down and do it.

He was going shopping.

He'd been planning on putting together this big romantic date night with Charlotte for quite a while now, and he was finally putting the wheels into motion.

Wanting to buy a new dress for Charlotte, he figured that maybe he could find something for himself too. He trusted his friends Lydia and Erin, and he knew they'd help him pick out something nice. They'd better anyway, because he really didn't have a damn clue what he was looking for.

He'd never been to their store before, but he knew right where it was. Pushing his way on into the front door, he must've been one hell of a sight. A 6'5" Native American with midback length black hair, a low hanging black cowboy hat, sleeveless shirt, jeans, boots, and at least a dozen necklaces probably didn't exactly look like he belonged in a place like this. He stood there in the doorway for a few seconds, and was hoping he'd catch sight of Lydia or Erin, just to ease him up a bit. At the moment, he only saw one girl working the floor, and he didn't have a damn clue who she was.

Okay, this was awkward for him, but he pressed on. He was going to make sure this night went perfect for him and Charlotte, and this was the first step.

The girl working the floor was Ivy, busy with trying to fix the register. Sometime they'd all have to invest in a Carley friendly register so incidences like this wouldn't keep happening. When Dakota entered she smiled his way and gave him the universal 'one moment' gesture before getting to work on that register again.

Erin and Lydia were both occupied elsewhere, likely upstairs sewing and knitting in the workroom, and Carley was down in the basement, doing... well... most times no one was really sure. But they never really questioned it. Though, this did leave one final member of The Stitch team available. The newest member in fact.

Griffith had been standing behind a clothing rack, sorting and organizing the clothing hanging off of it when Dakota entered. He tried peeking over the rack towards the man, but at 5'8 that just wasn't happening, so after spotting Ivy's gesture he decided he'd take over and give her a little break. Agreeable smile on his face, Griffith meandered around a couple clothing racks to approach Dakota. He was certainly a contrast to the cowboy; in khaki slacks, a neat white shirt, various sewing tools attached to his belt, and a measuring tape hanging around his neck. Hair was a mess as usual though, most of his brown locks were pulled back in a ponytail, but bangs were splayed about everywhere.

"Good afternoon sir!" Cheerful and professional with customers as always, Griffith gave Dakota a bow of his head, quickly picking some thread off his shirt to stuff in a pocket. Much like Erin was with yarn, he was like that with thread. "How can I help you?"

A grateful smile was offered towards the girl as she acknowledged that she'd be with him in just a second. He wasn't gonna bother her while she was busy with that register. Personally, he admired her patience with the machine. If it were him, he'd have thrown it through a wall by that point.

He eased his way on in, taking a few more steps before being greeted by some fellow who he had definitely never met before.

Well, he seemed friendly enough, and Dakota was always one to return kindness, so he returned the friendly tone as he removed his hat long enough to run a hand through his hair, getting a few annoying strands out of his eyes.

"I reckon you can help me. I'm a friend of Lydia and Erin's.." You just had to love how "Erin" came out as one drawn out syllable when he pronounced it. "I'm plannin' this big date for me n' my wife. I'm plannin' on havin' us a helluva night. Basic'lly, I'm lookin' to buy her a new dress, n' get myself spruced up a lil bit. Y'all got anything 'round here that'd look good on me...?"

He was hoping either Lydia or Erin would show up and see him. He'd feel a lot more comfortable with this if he were dealing with one of his friends.

"You're doin' this for Charlotte. This is for HER....." He had to keep telling himself. Regardless of how uncomfortable he felt, or how much he outright hated shopping for clothes, he was doing this for her. It was going to be worth it when it all came together.

Griffith looked Dakota over for a few moments, pondering his request for something that would look good. Dakota, like most in Rhydin, was a pretty big guy. But? It was a good thing Griffith kept that mind when he crafted clothing for men, making most of his stuff for the average Rhydinian male, rather than for guys like, well, himself.

"I think I can help you. How formal is this date? Are we talking suits or some a little more casual?" As he spoke, Griffith meandered around Dakota towards a rack where he started to dig through. "I think something in ivory would work really well for you. If this is formal an ivory suit would work wonders, but if this is more casual you could pair a dressy ivory blazer or vest over a dark shirt and some jeans." Pausing, reconsidering. "Or maybe some slacks."

Already, Griffith had pulled a few things from the rack to drape over his arm. Turning towards Dakota again, he glanced over him curiously again. "Finding something for your wife should be easier, if you know her size and what some of her favorite colors and styles are. You might could find some jewelry for her as well, since Erin does wonderful work with beads."

Offering a smile Griffith fell quiet as he waited to hear what it was Dakota wanted specifically. He could go with his ideas, or go with something he already had in mind. Customers were always right after all.
