It would begin as a glimmering, a faint pulse of emerald light that would suffuse the fog at each of the five Guardian's portals, as though someone had perhaps set off a firework in the very center of each of the patches of fog.

A moment later, a shaft of brilliant, nearly blinding green light erupts from the center of each of the five portals, reaching up beyond the sky, growing in diameter to the outer limits of each patch, burning the fog away, lasting a full minute each. No sound would accompany the light, but it would be noticeable nonetheless as each and every magic-capable being in the city of RhyDin would feel the effects, as if there were, for an instant, something being torn from the world.

When the light fades from each of the portals, there are no traces left of any of the portals to indicate they were ever there.
