At any rate, this is sort of the place I'm going to have for anyone who wants one of the Guardian's assistance to request their aid (not this thread specifically, but the folder as a whole), if, y'know, they ever do. So I kinda read over the descriptor for the pocket dimension/Guardian Chambers and see how it's entered.. but apparently it's only for those who know about it? So the average joe on the streets of RhyDin wouldn't know about it. Right?

Are the Guardians known in some way in RhyDin? Do they blatently advertise? Are there rumors that if you see a Misty area it could be a way to contact a Guardian? Maybe the Guardians can hear people on the other side?

I mean, it looks so guarded and secret that I'm not sure how one would play into this. Not trying to be difficult.

I guess what I'm asking is.. how does Joe normally contact a Guardian? Do they just happen upon them outside of the Chambers? Do they usually conduct business at some other local point like... you can usually find them at the RDI? Do people have to know someone who knows someone who got rescued by the Guardians in order to be able to contact them?

I would suggest contacting Amaltea, Panther or Xenograg.. or all of them one at a time in that order. Try Amal first and give her some time to reply like a few days, a week. Whatever.. I think she's still around. But then I'm usually the last to know, if I know at all. With my luck, she's probably on vacation or something.

If, after a fair time, she doesn't answer and it is still is doing that.. try Panther. I'm pretty sure Panther's been around though. And If that don't work, try Xenograg.

Make sure you show them the error message. That will help them.

Anyway, as an alternative and even on top of that advertisement window, have you posted things in other places besides Playables? Maybe also just put something on your board as well and repeat or semi repeat the same message in a few other places like ...

RhyDin Bulletin Board and even put something in with Getting to Know You.

If it were me, IF

I'd probably even edit the Playables one and put a link back to your board... or make a new one for Playable with it in there.

I might even add in some IC guides or ritual for people to do at that advertised portal. Otherwise, wouldn't they just be going to a spot of mist? Maybe I read stuff wrong. But... maybe it would be a cool idea to have like a table or shrine of some kind just inside the mist or beside it, but able to be seen from outside of it. a chime they could ring or that they would have to wad up a note to throw into the mist or special magical candles to light and whisper into... that would send a message to the Guardians... in effect, I'd put in some way to make it clear they want attention from the Guardians. Mostly because.. well, don't poeple walk past there all the time? It might help be a nice element.

Oh...and about those patches of mist...maybe I should make those clearer. They're not like the ground-high fog you see in some cheesy horror flick about a guy coming out of a lake with a machete - these are more like a wall of fog. They appear to be perhaps six to eight feet tall, about ten to fifteen feet wide. Now, of course, when something bigger finds its way into that, they will invariably find that all of a sudden they've wandered into an all-encompassing mist regardless, and are instantly surrounded by it, no matter how big they are. (Ain't magic a grand thing?)

I guess I need to edit the Chamber post to include that.

Okay. So I updated the GUardians' Chamber post, and added another sticky for the new sign the Guardians have placed all over the town. Let me know what you think.

And I also put up a new Playable, as well as a post in the Bulletin Board AND Getting to Know You.

The ritual, I wanted to keep simple, yet related to an actual, real-life and ancient ritual. I couldn't think of an older, simpler one than burning a piece of parchment while you voice your request aloud (though I can't remember where I read about that). What do you think?

Okay, so - we have all the main characters OOC info up, the OOC info on the Amulets and the info for the CHamber - now all I need is the history of the Guardians, which is the next entry.

For all of you that I am supposed to be playing with on Pharos Station or elsewhere, I do apologize for being so slow - about the only place I can make decent posts is at work and I can only do so much from here, for the time being. I'm trying to catch up, so please be patient!

This is wierd.... Has the system been hacked? Some of my posts here have links that I didn't add into them. They are all double underlined and totally green - lines and word/s. It isn't just my posts here but I've seen it in others like Jissin's too. There may be others; I haven't looked at all of them. Also, there is no reference to the link when I try to edit the page. It's not there. And also green linked words along the left side of page - not in any post... depending on which page is open. In my string when I find a post with the strange links, there is one. As I'm typing this up here, there isn't anything on the side. They're GameVance advertisement links placed in key words leading to things like credit reports and some online university, job ads and other things depending on which word in the post has been linked. What's up with that? I'm gonna report as much of it as I can, but would encourage others to take a look around here and on other boards, and help report them as well. I'm just gonna deal with whatever I see in my posts.
