Cinder woke the next morning kissing his beloved on the cheek as he eased out of the bed, it was still dark and early, he stifled a yawn as his feet tenderly met the bedroom floor. A quick stretch and stood, pulling on some clothes he had kept in a cardboard box, a green pair of trousers and a gray buttoned shirt he started his day.

Delliah was outback with the young colt as she heard Cinder out front, giving her friend a few licks she padded around and followed the strange elf. She missed him in her own special way.

Returning to the Salvage yard a few hours later he unlocked the gates and they headed into the break room. It was chilly but the sky foretold a nice warm breeze would at least pass through now and then. He carted out from the break room the bags of citrus a few jugs of wine and various containers.

Returning to the outside of the gate just a few feet past the post unit he set things up. A cauldron appeared on a portable cooking stand with wheels. It was a large cauldron one might suspect a witch or some guild mess hall to have. Delliah carried a chair in her mouth over to him.

He grinned at the sun and the slight breeze, which passed by. He stretched his hands covering the rising sun in the distance. Silver and golden rays shined through. The elf and the large white cat gazed off in the ocean, one could only suspect that they were feeling the breeze for their homeland off the coast.

"Today would be a fine day for just about anything...? He looked away that signature grin of his passing from the horizon and at then to the task at hand. Delliah remained at the edge looking at the ships in the distance. She missed the snow the mountains long trips out at sea.

He lit the kindling below the cauldron and added some firestones to the orange fire. They added warmth and glow without the smoke, soon they took over the job and he added a few more the increase the heat. He then added four jugs of Ch?teau De Nepome'. A secret stock of Bordeaux wine he had acquired years ago. He tossed in the ladle, which was tied to the cauldron and stirred it a bit. He added some cloves, and some cinnamon, and then stirred for a few moments, the heat was the key not to make such a treat too harsh or to boil the wine.

"Ah. It?s getting good". The elf grinned.

"Where did you learn this again"? Delliah asked curiously as she too caught the start of a beautiful aroma.

"from Luic, you remember? Mein welch ein h?bsch wei? K?tzchen"! He chuckled some giving her a tight squeeze and scratching her ears.

"Yeah...? She shook her head with a grin. She walked around him a few times and curled up beside his chair.

He added some nutmeg, cardamom pods, and a bit of purple anise to the concoction. He sat back in a chair bringing up the sack of fruit and kicked off a few firestones. He sliced them and as he did he returned them to the sacks. After he had sliced them all he dumped them over the cauldron. He then added another jug of wine and some sugar and some honey.

He smiled fanning the aroma around a few times and then took up the ladle. Taking a sample of it into a paper cup.

"Ah it is good, of course it would be, and I made it".
He offered Delliah a sip and she licked her face afterward.

"Mmmmn it's good, Cinder". She stood up and nodded hoping to get another.

"What?s it called again wine something or other"?

Cinder tapped the side of the cauldron and then gave her thumbs up. "Gl?hwein".
