~The pie who loved me~ Part I.
?Wake up?. Rewa demanded as she sat beside the cat, turning the covers over her. The sunlight sparkled in the living room like a hollow gem, the jars of sea glass in the window brought fanciful lights dancing inside and the hearth brought warmth, and though with Rewa?s morning glory attitude it felt as cold as an Ice Golem?s prick. Delliah hatred being woken up she pushed her a bit.
?What is it?? Delliah pushed her back again with her tail as she turned over realizing Cinder was not there. ?Where is Cinder, did he go somewhere??
?I was going to ask you that same damn thing, you saw him last you slept together. Are you to tell me you haven?t even seen or felt him leave?? Rewa started motioning with her hands getting excited, she sighed holding her head. She closed he eyes and sat on the arm of the couch. ?Christ this shit he puts me through his giving me a blasted headache what the hell is he thinking to run off again??
?You don?t know that. I thought Vampires couldn?t get headaches, aren?t you immune to your brain??
?What, what the hell does that supposed to mean? God knows where the hell he gone to perhaps to have tea with a Lemurian or drink scotch with the Devil! Where the piss did you hear that from anyways? Pcht! ?immune to my brain??
?It was something I read is all. Have you checked outside? Perhaps he has gone to the lake?? She plopped off the couch and walked away hearing her children meowing in the bathroom and a loud bang. Rewa frustrated picked up the empty glass of wine and filled it up and downed it in an instant. ?Immune to my brain?? The nerve of her! Why don?t you check outside, nah nah? This family I swear nuts the lot of them?!
She stormed out throwing her wool coat on and slammed the back door. Rewa followed the path to the lake once again cursing and cranky, she would have only enjoyed to go back ot bed if she knew Cinder was still there in the house. She tripped on her shoes and cursed ot herself, crouching over them and retying them.
?I swear these to beasts are reckless, don?t they even know I?m still a noble, I swear being friends with Kristae was one thing but with that weirdo and his cat...? She quieted down spotting Cinder under the gazebo he was back in his true form he was wearing the purple hooded shirt she had given him last birthday, his hair was still wet from the bath last night.
He was walking gingerly to the rail holding a loaf of bread. From this angle she could see he was in deep thought and sad. She crept a bit closer and watched him feed the ducks, she wondered if he knew she fed them while he was gone?
He yawned gazing at his feathered friends and then took a seat at the bench being hit by the sunlight. He smiled, it felt great in the mornings and evenings when the sun cascaded down from either side of the lake. The wind chimes gently brushed against a cool breeze. She did noticed something was quite odd however. Cinder unraveled a cloth in his lap. He held somebody?s arm in his hand then she realized it was his own arm. She silently covered her mouth shaking with fear, a tear ran across her face and she vanished.
Cinder set the arm down darting his attention to where Rewa had been, he nodded with a faint smile. A bitter expression would have suited him now as he then covered up the arm. He looked to the ducks, they were content, they didn?t care, they didn?t know anything other than this Island. In ways he was jealous.
?You, my arm? served me well?. He stood finishing off the bread into the water and headed back slowly.
Rewa sat on the couch drinking a glass of wine when Cinder had returned as Jennifer, she knelt over giving her a kiss saying good morning and headed into the bathroom. Rewa watch her suspiciously wondering but dared not to ask about his arm. Delliah smiled to Jennifer as she knelt down beside the children and her, she held one of them and kissed them.
?Your children are beautiful Delliah, much as you are. They remind me how innocent and small you were in my hands, though different hands held you. I think I shall bury my arm with your mother, it has done all it could. She set the kitten down and turned back into himself, closing the door and stepped into the tub once more. The children wished to hop in too mostly because this person was very strange for it turned into a human and then something else. But the lure of water also had their attention as he turned the knobs.
?You should take them hunting Delliah, I used to take you all the time even if you were more into chasing rabbits for fun it was good for you?.
She smiled and looked down at them.
?Perhaps you could come with me? When you are feeling better?
You only had me to look after, I have five children, I would love it if you could come?.
He nodding a yes and looked to the door seeing the shadow under the crack shift. He grinned sensing Rewa pressing her ear to the door.
