Cinder sat in his quest quarters on Rewa's ship at the scroll desk a modern pen in his hand staring at old blank parchment. The dim lanterns would have made any normal person frustrated to see. A bottle of wine and a cup of coffe rested beside him both spent as was a small plate with crumbs on it, perhaps some cookies or bread? Various documents all penned by him stamped with the trademark seahorse and Ghrim rune. He had used the small bed for charts and a leather map that outlined the world as he knew it. Lemuria his obession was the newest additon as it had burned into the old leather making the rest seem so dull.
He smiled lightly at the moon, it was perfect and beautiful on the sea. He stirred the mug in his hand and sighed, setting it down he returned to the empty parchment before him.
A few days have now passed that I have left Delliah on the port in Avalon, even longer it seems I have left that forsaken land. She was persistant in keeping me from my task. Rewa suggested she stay behind. Perhaps it's for the best. I am uncertain of my return from this quest, she shouldn't have to bare witness to these trials.
I think that heathen holiday must be over by now I'm sure there was another one they celebrated at least I dont understand their calendar perfectly I never have. The large cat brought me a gift even though I hadn't gotten her one. Nice new desk lamp, shame I haven't gotten electric running on this shi or I would have used it. The office at the yards could use a new one, darn thing doesnt work right. Rewa even shared with us some of her french holiday cooking. I never had roasted qauil so succulent before. Her songs from home were beautiful. I was fortunate enough to know a litte french to pick out some of the words.
The three of us visted Kristae's grave before we left I placed a few sunflowers on her stone, delliah a wreath with a simple red bow.
We should be reaching the drop off point by tomorrow. I have ensured that the vessel will work the best it can. In it's trial run I managed to travel to great depths before resurfacing. I am not certain by was measures but I am certai nthat everything will work perfectly.
I pray I find thes quest sucessful.
He set the letter aside and folded into an envelope, Sealing it and placing a stamp on the corner. Marked only for the recipeint, Cinder Shirastan. Placing it itno the empty bottle of wine he corked it and sealed the end with some wax. He took a stroll dockside with the bottle in hand and leaned across the railing. A few of Rewa's crew were watching him with curiosity. Perhaps they never saw an elf in their lifetime or perhaps never one so peculiar looking. Perhaps it was the fact it was late and even the Vampire had retired for the night.
"au revoir ? , moi-m?me , moi schiste trouvaille vous ? nouveau"!
He tossed the bottle as hard as he could out into the pitch of the night, he turned away and nodded to the men after he heard it's splash in the distance.
"Bonne nuit".
"Bonne nuit, Monsieur Shirastan".
He bowed and returned back into his quarters. He wished he had more time than this.
