As she was the inspiration for this character I feel I must say a few words of thanks and appreciation. She may have very unique and beautiful features, one of which being her awesome teeth and gorgeous eyes, but there is so much more to it than that.
Not everyone knows that Avril is a musical genius who started blowing people away with her singing at the age of two. Some people are just born with gifts the rest of us only dream of. She sang along side a number of famous singers who were impressed by her even before she was signed to a record deal - at the age of sixteen.
Her debut album ? Let Go ? reached number 1 in the UK. Making her the youngest female singer to achieve that. Not to mention having three singles from the album reaching number one on billboard, making her the second artist in history to be able to claim that one. She received many awards such as best female artist at the age of 18, as well as being nominated for 8 Grammy?s and receiving 6 Juno awards.
She is a singer/song writer who creates amazing music but she also plays the piano, guitar, and drums. She has done some parts in movies as well as doing a voice over in at least one cartoon that I know of. She has had a lot of involvement in charity work as well as creating her own foundation. She is also a fashion designer ? Abbey Dawn. And has done fragrances ? Black Star, Forbidden Rose, and Wild Rose.
Her energy and her spirit is something I have always admired. Since me and her are the same age, when she first came out I thought she was cool but I myself had to grow up to fast and saw her as being ?young? I guess. I lost track of her for many years but have rediscovered her here and there and whatever look or style she has adapted over time she has worn better than anyone else. They all seem a natural evolution of her rather than some type of adapted image to please others. She always seems true to herself and follows that where ever it leads.
Aside from all that, the most inspiring thing about her has been her music itself. I will be using some of it for my character because no one can do or say it better than her. It?s all her - all the pictures I use are going to be of Avril Lavigne. Her music and her soul are going to go into this character.
