This folder has long been in need of one of these threads, so here it is. The information contained within this thread is strictly for OOC purposes as some information may currently be unknown by the characters themselves. There is great benefit to be had here by reading the character biographies so you, as players, may know what to expect in live play or play-by-post here on the forum. I.E., how a character behaves so that false presumptions might not be made IC. This will also be a great source for information on our supporting characters here. Obviously, some of the information is free to use, hair color, eye color, body type, etc. These are obvious things. But we will not play with characters too "knowledgeable" about our own. Apply common sense with the information given here, and do not . Whatever your intention, you'll know what to expect from our characters by going through this thread.
If you are not apart of the stories and tales of Frisson, I ask that you not post character bios here. This is strictly for our characters gallery here, and I want this thread to represent a "go-to" source for that.

Weight: 218
Eyes: Lentil Green
Hair : Short black, spiky
Scars: Right hand, left over from an opponent who nailed his hand to the floor of the Tower of Liltu using a sword known as "The Truth," a short rapier and brother sword to "The Falsiad."

Known Family: Jessica Wong ( Ex )
Seirichi ( Ex )
Corea ( Wife )
Marissa ( Daughter )
Kellie ( Daughter )
Karaichi ( Stepson )
Parents: Unknown
Current location: Adenna
Homes:
1. The Sunrise Overlook, Dyarhk's main home where he hangs his hat and extends neighborly efforts toward his community. Having helped the city in a number of situations, he is thought well of here, and as such was given this estate in Adenna with more than suitable square footage to bring three children up in and entertain guests. It is located near the sex-segregated community divider of Adenna between Warrior's Way and Kings Honor.
2. Bernard's Cottage, located deep in the fairy forests of Huyglen, is a home constructed within a great Life-tree located in a central open pasture of the woods. Despite housing 3-5" fairies, it was built for human occupants as well as its fairy estate owners. Since passing owners, the home now officially belongs to Rauland Dearing, Bernard's son, and his beloved, Lia d'Ivri. But it is pretty well known Dyarhk and his friends and family are welcome at any time.
Special Abilities:
Rauland's Huyglen Friendship Key: Essentially, having befriended the fairy prince of Huyglen, this established the only true way of travelling to their sacred realm. The Dearing family have all possessed the ability to link up mentally with "true friends" and open gateways to bring them to their world. Once a loving friendship has earnestly been formed, the two will be able to communicate mentally and forge the connection that the gate will only stabilize under. There is no other known way of reaching Huyglen at this time.
The Lifestealer's Folio: Published by Seirichi's siter, Nima, The LifeStealer's Seal or The LifeStealer's Folio is a magical script inscribed on the underlying spiritual form of a spirit or soul. It was thought-of on a spur-of-the-moment to save Dyarhk's life from an eroded soul. It contains a life-eating demon bonded to the person under perfect control and harnesses. Its unique ability is to continuously pull from a specific energy (this case being the Siovanui energy of Seirichi) and keep Dyarhk alive. Its every inscription highlights in various degrees of brightness depending on how much is being eaten. As of now, it has two editations made to it. 1. A minor "feasting" adjustment made to control the amount of life-force eaten. 2. A "spiritual phone line" was written onto the Folio to allow telepathic communication between Dyarhk, Seiri and Corea.
Curses:
The Curse of Embrus was cast upon him after Dyarhk forged an ancient contract to save Brian Ravenlock's life in exchange for his own body. What this did was transport Dyarhk to the vast reaches of space to a world known as "Embrus" where powerful entities claimed to control all of fate. They also claimed that Dyarhk had been written out of existence and was only allowed to exist within their reaches of space and never return to the life he knew. To ensure this, he was cursed with The Curse of Embrus which corrodes souls if they venture out from their defined positions. It has stuck with him through his escaping his "bound" planet, Tirraru, and nearly killed him in the "Scarred" disaster of Town Hall. The Lifestealer's Folio was designed specifically to counteract this curse.
Weapons:
The Gods' Edge: A four foot, six and one-half inch double-bladed axe of a golden iron smelted by the Dwarven Mountain Lords in Northern Rhy'Din. It earned its prolific name because of the gargantuan size and weight (250 kg.) that led the Dwarven Mountain Lords to begin calling it the shaving razor of the gods and the Mountain Lords' Eternal Sunrise. It has a large, basketball-sized ruby perfectly spherical and untarnished in its center. The weapon is a sponge of cruel and abundant sources of magic, but is known to get "sick" if absorbing too much or a very evil energy. When this happens, there is no telling what may happen, and circumstances are often out of control. A few documented cases have been the summoning of hellish and outlandish structures from other plains of reality, as well as attracting unrest spirits and blasting energy waves sporadically, one of which took Nayun Lortz's arm.
Lilith's Black Mantle: A thick black full-length cape blessed with anti-magic deflection capabilities as well as wards and protection from all things magical. Lilith, who is a high-end magic-user, made sure to endow the cloak with a very high resistance to high level magic to keep the father of her granddaughter safe in his travels, as well as keep him warm.
Dunlin's Coat: A brown leather, weather-beaten coat once owned by Bernard Dearing's brother, Dunlin Dearing, a famous Huyglen explorer. The coat has a woolen neckline and various magically-given things such as immunity to fatigue, explorer's intuition, a "chance-like" survivability increase, and a very slow-working health-restoration effect.
Palliator Model V: A specialty handgun made by WONG International. It is a signature gun with liquid balance junctures built onto the barrel to assist the gun's complex system to completely avoid hitting their target even when fired up to 9 feet away. This gun is a non-lethal firearm suited for trick-shooting (where it operates normally), and intimidating threatening attackers, as well as fabricating death scenes if one was so inclined, which Dyarhk has been known to do before. Because lethal force is so often exercised around Jessica Wong and various other gunpowder-knowledgeable regions, Dyarhk finds it helpful to have this custom-made pistol with him. Special ammunition has also been put into production, and is To Date, Wong's most expensive firearm round manufactured. It is a restorative, cell-repairing nanomachine bullet that repairs the gunshot wound it creates when fired into the body. There are enough nanomachines within each round to repair most conceivable entry and exit wounds
His friends.
Can Often Be Found: Christoper Andan's Piano Concerto Hall, Robin's Nest Boxing Gym, The Sunrise Overlook, Huyglen.
About: Since as far back as he can remember, he has been pursued with killing intent. On the run, nameless, for many years, he was a young teenager when he somehow eluded his pursuers long enough to establish a quiet but brief life in a little town. It was here he met his first friends. But it would not last. A memory lost to him. All he does remember is that they were the first friends he ever had. They were the friends that named him after asking his name, only to find out he did not have one, and thusly naming him after the coloration of his skin: Dyarhk was born. One day the small town fell to a horrific raid and advancing flames over all the innocent people's livelihood. His only friends, two young men and a young woman, killed, sent Dyarhk on the run yet again, but he would be captured by meager war tribe and given a sword to ensure his survival with them.
He stayed with them for one very long campaign which saw their army tripled in numbers but ultimately defeated at their last battle. Avoiding execution after his comrades and commander had already been slain, his character traits were seen in the enemy general who spared his life and returned his freedom after hearing his story. Dyarhk did not leave these people, however, instead choosing to aid them in their ambitions which saw him through many of his adolescent adventure years that sculpted him into the man he would become. He honed the skills of the noble swordsman and took the weight of the beliefs with the lives of the men he cut down in battle. Swinging his sword alongside so many thoroughly stunning examples of manliness contributed greatly to his ever-growing wisdom.
Leaving the war-scene in favor of his newfound want in helping others through new and unmapped travels, he retained his friendships with this body of militants and started on his journeys, one of which brought him to the great warrior city of Adenna. It was here he experienced his first true crush in the Siovanui deity-woman, Tetch. A smart enough man now to befriend these Adennians, he secured trust, respect, and a place to stay here for whenever he needed. This became a place he called home when he was not living the life of a wanderer. His fate is infinitely tied to this city, seeing the young Seirichi and her sister grow from newborns into beautiful women.
Fast-forward. An ancient temple district saw two friends, Dyarhk and a one Brian Ravenlock, in the center of a horrible accident brought about by a fiendish clergyman. Initiating a very old sacrificial machine in the center of four very elaborate sand pillars that engulfed Dyarhk and Brian in a blinding white tornadic storm. Deciding then to offer his life for his friend, Dyarhk absorbed the abundance of flesh-hungry light that made silhouettes out of men. The two locked hands for a meaningful brief exchange of words, but it would not be their last. Gone, but not dead, Dyarhk had actually been transported to a world he believed existed 'beyond all known worlds;' a world called Embrus. Here, he listened to false judges sentence upon him an eternity of banishment. Being the great adventure and master escapist he was, this did not last long, as he secreted away to another realm. But the plagues of the dimension was upon him; a curse that erodes the very soul begins to devour the spirit the farther it ventures from its banishment zone.
Arriving on a planet called Tirraru, he was able to find a port back to Rhy'Din and reconvene with his friends. Meeting so many wonderful new friends, including his eventual wife, Corea, he endured a brief period of happiness. But the erosion of his soul was becoming more and more severe. Finally, he seized his opportunity, choosing how he would die when a global-scale attack unleashed upon Rhy'Din. He dressed his armor and sword, and moved out to join the ranks of men once again. His would-be final stand would have been met to favorable reviews. He helped defend a fortification in Town Hall twice, and helped establish a refugee camp in the Northern Forests that saved many lives. But when he had planned to fall, at the face of a mighty foe with a crucifix-faced helm, divination would intervene.
He next awoke in a bed in a tent of his refugee camp to many new things. One, he had still been alive, two, who had saved him, and three, the Lifestealer's Folio had now been apart of him. His savior? None other than the young woman he'd seen become such all the years of her life. The daughter of his first love: Seirichi. His mind a million places at once, he didn't have time to decide what it all meant. Adenna was under attack. A vicious coup was being carried out that jeopardized the entire city, and firmly stated where Adennians aiding in the war efforts now stood. Dyarhk's story was not over, it seemed. He would assist the city in its defense.
A city fallen upon by floating islands stood to lose everything while powerful villains attacked them in darkness. Despite this tragedy, Dyarhk's relationship with Seirichi continued to strengthen. Eventually, Dyarhk was contacted telepathically for the first time by an old Adennian traveler by the name of Bernard Dearing. He told upon Dyarhk's thoughts an upcoming disaster that not only killed Seirichi, but her unborn daughter inside her; his daughter. A plan was forged that would rekindle the connection between Huyglen and Adenna, and save Seirichi from an attack from a vicious gigantic Ice Spider's bite. Teleporting to Huyglen, Dyarhk and Bernard were able to activate their plan that required Seirichi staying in Huyglen in safety while he returned to Adenna to bring her infant son, Karaichi, back to her. But this would not be as easy as he thought.
Karaichi had been moved to the Tower of Liltu, a zone unfamiliar to Adenna. It was difficult infiltrating during this time because of the war it knew with its close alliance to Adenna. But managing to do it meant that it was just as easy for his enemies to do. A great assassin named Teciszew infiltrated the tower with the mission of killing Seirichi's son. And getting as far as the room the infant child was being kept was as far as he'd get. Running into the foe, Dyarhk wrestled with him, keeping him at bay from killing the child even after having his hand nailed to the floor with a rapier sword. As it turned out, he had bought enough time for help to arrive, a Battle Prophet by the name of Mage, who came in and decapitated the foe. Shortly thereafter, the coup known as the 'Chains Conflict' was thwarted and the city's attackers either chased off or killed. The city however still remains buried under the ground.
Across his many adventures and friendships forged, he has also forged a reputation he is not proud of. He earned the title 'Palliator' from his foes who understood how he can mean very well and speak very positively, but he can guarantee nothing. Ergo, there are times he has failed to produce a happy ending for the parties involved. Currently he is very involved with the city he now lives and raises his children in. Decisions made in his life have survived a relationship with his first ex, Jessica Wong, who is the half-mother to his first daughter. This relationship will occasionally call him off-world. But most days, he can be found in Adenna.
Personality: Dyarhk is a very passionate and romantic man. He aspires to memorable meetings with others, and to always try and keep his company happy whether he's known them a very long time or is just meeting them, esp. if he is just meeting them, since first impressions can be very fragile. Unfortunately this is often a double-edged sword, since making sure that his company feels the benefit over him at all times, he can at times look foolish, insincere, sarcastic, or overly-jovial. But rest assured this is not the case. He is simply very caring. Getting to know him will open up the doors for his more comfortable self. He is much quieter and softer when he is in his element, which consists of being surrounded by true friends and family. He is very likely to lose himself in the moment while conversations may be going on. He is also very handsy. He grew up with a people-loving crowd, and as a product of that, is all about hugs, greet-kisses, and touching during conversation. He places a great deal of trust in others because he believes in the good within all persons, even the villainous.
