There were just boxes upon boxes filled with stuff. The cardboard was overtaking her room and flowing into the hallway. And not for the first time did she wonder why she was bringing all this stuff home instead of taking it to the Great Hall.
"Because, Rekah, there are shady characters who may take the decorations and then you won't have them for the Ball." Replying to an unspoken question as she went up on her tiptoes to push a box atop a stack. With a quick swipe of her hands against one another in a note of finality.
"I guess I'll move everything again Friday night. Maybe Sin will let me borrow the hearse." The last bit said more as an afterthought, rather than an idea she'd been entertaining for some time. Which now she would be thinking about it until she could talk to him about it.
"I have the music, the decorations, the cupcakes. What else do I need?"
A long, and thought filled pause later.
"No, nobody likes clowns. They're creepy, Claire. You're creepy." Turning a 180 degrees to stare down a vacant slot between two stacks.
"What do you mean how am I paying for all this? Pah.A lot of people owed me a lot of favors. So, I called them all in. D'uh." Sidestepping past the boxes she started down the steps. She stopped about halfway down to look back up to the landing.
"Yes, I have my dress. No, you can't fit into it. Yes, I can fit into it. No, you can't wear it. Find your own dress, Claire!" Huffing with a stomp of her foot before continuing down the staircase. There were just a few more things she had to take care of before she could actually relax for a bit.
