It had taken her quite a few days after prepping to figure out exactly what she was going to do. Planning to get someone was one thing, doing it was an entirely different matter and tracking Tareth Thorn down was no easy task.

How do you find someone who's untraceable? You make them find you. Caedia had spent the day hanging up signs and shopping with Rylee, the Drasinia's five year old stoic child who found solace in shadows and cringed away from normal five year old activities and joys. The black haired child with the assassin was more like a version of Caedia done in a smaller five year old's body and Kheldar had often speculated it was the reason Caedia had been the only one who was able to calm the child who was in the hospital. The uncanny ability had the hospital offering up the newborn to her in lieu of delivering it to the already over filled adoption homes and Caedia had never regretted the action.

"Rylee! Look! The darkmoon faire will be in town soon, you want to go?"

Rylee's face had twitched just the slightest and one corner of her mouth went slightly up, that was the closest to unbridled glee the Drasinia's ever got from the child.

"Yes." The one monotone word was also incredibly enthusiastic for the child as the tone was higher than her usually speech tones which tended to stay in the neutral lower ones. Caedia beamed and finished hanging up the sign.

"Looking for someone crafty to steal a valuable idol. If you think you have what it takes to go against the impossible, locate me in the Red Dragon Inn this Saturday. Reward to include a magical favor, gold and another job more valuable than this one. Look for the tattoo covered hands."

It was a rather.. weird ad to be honest, she wasn't looking to sell the job, she was looking to find the man and he would rise to it even if it was to find out why the person was so bad at making a truly catching advertisement. She'd go, sit in the inn and pass out information about Makalaster's tower and how there was some special idol there that needed to be stolen. Truth was it was the idol that contained most of Makalaster's powers and it was so guarded that she and another in their primes hadn't been able to get it and they hadn't been the first to try, people with magic had tried as well to no avail.

Makalaster was the reason she had a grid of sword tip scars on her back in a perfect box. He was the reason she had the long scar down her cheek and had nearly died. She had no hope that someone could get to that idol and knew he could easily handle it with all his traps, guards and everything else, but the matter of inconvenience would be a petty comfort to the assassin and she would find her brother. Win win situation for her.

She finished putting the last flyer up, the rest had been scattered all over the streets and near the Red Dragon Inn itself, the docks had gotten a few there as well but mostly as a last ditch effort. Once that was taken care of she whirled around to catch Rylee up and swing her around.

"And we will have a ton of fun!!!!" She was rewarded for her glee with Rylee's clinging to her and kissing her cheek. The little girl was definitely excited if she was giving out kisses, Caedia's heart flooded a moment in excitement and then out of respect for the emotion showed, was gently setting her down.

"The bus is almost here." Rylee monotoned back in her usual lackluster voice and Caedia tilted her silver gaze from her daughter to the on coming bus.

"That sounds good, we did a lot of walking and playing in the park." She agreed and waited with the girl leaning on her leg until the bus came to a complete halt and then opened it's door. Rylee had tromped up the stairs first and Caedia had been lifting her left arm to reach for the bar to help her keep her balance when everything shifted.

Rylee's face had gone into horror as she turned to see if Caedia was following and for some reason unbeknownst to Caedia, the bus stairs were rushing up to meet her.

"Shots fired, shots fired! Civilian down! Clear the area!" Someone of the Guard was handling her now and turning her over and all she could do was open and close her mouth.

The letter "G" and the letter "O"were formed by Caedia's right hand which was still working okay since she couldn't get her vocal chords to work just yet without letting out a scream she wasn't sure would stop, so she had resorted to sign language. The five year old stuttered unsure of what to do a moment, then met the silver eyes filled with pain and immediately threw the shadow cloak over herself to get out of danger.

Now that that worry was taken out of the equation Caedia could focus on trying to keep herself as silent as possible and as still as possible. The woman had been shot many times before, -that- part wasn't new, it was the fact that she was -sober- that was the difference. Holy Eff things hurt when they weren't under a constant blanket of dull and it had been a little over four years since the woman had been that trashed on alcohol and drugs.

"We have help coming ma'am, hang in there. It pierced your side, looks like we might have gotten lucky.. don't think it pierced your lungs.. and I'm pretty sure the perp was aiming for your heart."

The fleeing people had cleared out the courtyard to a good extent but what Caedia would never see was two men that stood there surrounded by shells of magic while they floated in the air. Two fae that had thrown up their invisible glamour to hide in plain sight but couldn't see each other now and both were waiting for the other to make their first move. The third man involved had just been a pawn in the whole moment and it had been his gun that had been fired. His body the first fae had taken over and used to shoot at Caedia and now he was piled with bodies of the Guard and confused as to what was going on, he wouldn't remember a thing except suddenly feeling this tingling warmth and then nothing.

Caedia struggled hold on to the Guard's hand who was cradling her head and trying to keep her still. She had to find some way to warn her family, some way.. was this because she was trying to find Tareth? She wouldn't put two and two together to realize Jasper's people had come for her until later and by then she had passed out as her body rejected the pain any longer.
