The Swede Sven

If Sven ever felt out of place, it was now. All he wanted to do this fateful Saturday night, was to go to the Dragon and get an ale after work. It had been a long day for Sven. It had been spent putting out the fire at the docks. He was sweaty and sooty.

Sven walked into the Dragon wiping the sweat from his face with his shirt. He was hot, so he saw not the need to have it on. Sven saw a friend, Juleta, who was at the bar and headed in that direction. Sven never made it. It happened so sudden.

Sven didn't know the man tending bar that night, he heard some call him Chris. Suddenly this man was calling to Sven, telling Sven to protect a lady. The Swede looked around to see which lady he meant, and then went to do what Sven was told to do. With only his one arm, he grabbed the woman and held her against him, using his body as a shield. He had never gone against magics and the like, only spears, arrows and other such weapons. Sven was unprepared for what came next.

He felt something grab him. Felt it wrap around him. Felt it tug. It pulled hard on him. The large man fought against it, all the while still holding onto the woman known as Charlotte. Sven couldn't fight it any longer and down the Swede went with a THUD.

Suddenly, Chris was spraying something. Oh how it burned Sven's eyes. He had never felt such a burn. Sven's stomach was doing flip flops, but he did not get sick like the others did. He was good at keeping things back. One had to be after being on a longboat for so long. Some of the food would turn a magots stomach.

Sven went home after that. His eyes still burning. He did finally get to say hello to his friend Juleta, a very quick, hurried hello.

The next day, as he was taking to Icer about what happened. He felt an uneasy feeling, like he was being watched, and indeed he was. Sven looked and there he was. He asked who it was and Icer told Sven it was Alex. Sven felt a darkness, one he compared to the plague.

Sven was indeed drawn in the wrong place, wrong time.
