Despite Arcanum's central location so close to the Marketplace there is housing available for students whom do not live in Rhydin proper. The three story building is able to accommodate upwards of 300 students. with boys on the ground floor, girls on the second, while the third is coed with boys on the north hall, girls in the south.

The main classroom building while recently remodeled has managed to keep much of its former supports and structure adding to its character. Thanks to the efforts of the grounds keeper and his helpers the lawns of the school are vibrant as ever,

While harmless, this nefarious prankster has been known to hurl food at students and faculty who walk beneath him, even spitballs from a straw on occasion though no one knows where he came into possession of it. Argyle is frequently changing his perch about the Academy' outer structure and has been seen openly reading copies of PlayElf much to the horror of faculty and parents. One thing that remains the same about Arcanum Academy' living gargoyle, he always has something in his hands. All too often, however, that something is himself. Argyle is one of the few remaining pieces of the institutions? previous buildings.

The most recent addition to the Academy is that of the Duelist' Circle. This stone pit is covered wall to wall with a regenerative ward to let the students practice their spells without fear of killing one another. All disputes that cannot be solved with words are settled here in single combat. No rules, no help from friends, just one student versus another with a teacher, often the Headmaster, overseeing the fight.
When not being used by students to work on their offensive spells, the pillars within the pit move to allow Summoning courses to bring forth large Outsiders in a controlled setting.
