House Helston's front door received several quick knocks from a sun bronzed hand. The mage had circumvented the walk to it by simple dimensional sliding, moments after Chryrie had told him of Kitty's illness. His dark green eyes narrowed a bit in irritation at himself as his thoughts drifted to why he left.

He lifted his voice and called out, "Kitty! I've brought apples, open up!"

House Helston had been mostly empty for weeks now. But Traeline was there at that moment, watering plants.

Yes, they had plants there. Kitty insisted on it.

So it was the tween who opened the door and blinked wide-eyed at the fire elemental. The watering can was still in one hand.

"Uhm.. Aunt Kitty isn't here. She's at the Bloods up on the upper side." She pointed in that vague direction.

"And you should know she dun like apples. Fruit gives her the squirts." Typical tween fashion roll of the eyes as she shook her head.

Thin lips of the human-looking shell twisted into a wry grin as the tween opened the door. Dark green eyes took in the other's face before he chuckled softly.

"My apologies, I did not know she was there. I have been gone for some time. Could you perhaps lend me some assistance getting there? Your Aunt and I are friends of a sort."

And that wry grin became a warm smile, small tongues of green flames dacing within his eyes.

"And the apples comment was just a light hearted thing, though I'll remember what fruit does to her."

The tween rolled her eyes again as she set the watering can down. "You don't know where she's been for weeks. You don't know fruit makes her sick. You don't know she's been unconscious for weeks, so she wouldn't get the joke. Some friend you are."

The attitude was in full array as she scoffed at the man, then looked into the house over her shoulder, speaking to someone.

"This guy says he wants my help finding the Onyx. Whatcha think?"

There was a mumbling noise and a movement of curtains in a nearby window before the apparent affirmative was given. Trae peered at Dracos then for a moment. "Well, I guess I can take you. Jade says you're ok. I was wanting to go there today anyway. C'mon."

Trae's multi-toned hair bounced as she skipped past him, the door to House Helston slamming shut behind her.

A soft grunt answered the tweens accusations as he turned to follow her. "You're right, I'm not that great of a friend, but I have been absent for a very active period of her life it seems."

His robe shifted and shimmered as it trailed behind him, dark eyes focused on the route, rather than his guide. Though his attention was never too far removed from her to lose her on the way towards their destination.

"Just how far away is she anyways?"
