The island that held Katheryn Kastle was all but abandoned, save for the great green dragon who made her home in the cliffs.

Being as such, it was Jade's wards and magic that protected the castle until such a time the fae would return.

When Vrastiel's presence was felt, the dragon did not pause before flying directly to the castle, landing near it with the same earth shaking thud that usually heralded her arrival.

She lowered her snout to the level of the humanoid who was only as big as one of her claws. A trail of acrid green smoke trailed from a nostril as she inspected him for a few moments. Once she was satisfied with who it was and it was not someone seeking to harm the island, she lifted her head once more.

"She is not here. The fae had a discussion with the elf known as Luse and it has been decided the moredhel will be taken to Blood House Onyx after proper preparations have been made. The heads of many perhaps will fix this better than the heads of a few."

She settled back on her haunches as she looked down at the male.
