Jade was not exactly a humanish friendly dragon. In fact, for the majority of her life, she avoided them. Her interaction with them was pretty much nothing but turning dragon hunters into puddles of goo with her acid breath. She tried to eat one once, but discovered that even once you got past the particularly nasty taste of the metal, they still tasted badly.
Human was not the other white meat in her eyes.
It took a fae moredhel to change her views on people in general. A mob of dragon slayers had come to kill her for no reason other than they knew she existed. They had almost succeeded. She was covered in slashes and marks from the several enchanted blades made simply for the purpose of killing her kind. She could even feel some sort of poison seeping it's way through her veins as she feebly attempted to fight them off of her. Her vision had gone blurry and she could feel her strength giving way. She could make out the noises of lightning blasts and she felt the heat of fire, but it was not her own. Perhaps another dragon had come to her aid? Not likely. She did not know of many dragons in this land yet. And then, all went dark as unconsciousness took over.
When she awoke, she was still in pain, but not as much as before. SHe could hear humming and chanting near her side. It took a great deal of effort, but eventually she managed to swivel her scaled head around to eye the one next to her.
What she saw was a woman. An elf, perhaps? No. Elves do not have gossamer wings. But faeries are not usually so large. A cross breed? Plausible. Either way, she was not dragonkin and therefore it confused her to see this woman healing her wounds with her magic and with some sort of herbal salve.
Her voice was weak, but it still rumbled from her chest. "Who are you? Why are you doing this?"
Kalaidescope eyes turned to look upon the dragon's face and the woman smiled. "Because you need it? I wasn't going to just let those idiots kill you. And you look like you might not make it if I didn't do something."
Jade would have jerked her head back in surprise if she had the energy, but she did not.
