(( Under threat of being lynched if I didn't post the details so all the girls could see... here you go. There is no dress code other than come clothed because there will be kids there. If you wish to post what your character will be wearing, feel free to do so here! ))

The wedding is being held on Twilight Isle ((the RDI version)), so everyone can come in whatever they like, and still be comfortable. The goblins have already decorated everything and will be serving drinks to the guests.

This is what the Good Doctor will be wearing to the wedding, under her forest green velvet and ermine lined cape, thanks to Koy's exquisite design skills. The gown is made of peridot silk chiffon, its high banded waist accentuating Maranya's bust line. The tiered ruffle skirt gives the illusion of flowing water with each step the leggy Doctor takes.

This is a closeup, showing the coordinating raw peridot jewelry, set in platinum and created by Colleen's daughter Nicole, an extraordinary jeweler.

OOC note - First off I'd like to thank EVERYONE who showed. However, considering the sheer number of people who did show, I'm a bit overwhelmed. I also learned from Kitty's party a couple years ago that there is NO way for me to keep track of who gave what to the happy couple.

So if you showed and gave them a gift, please please PLEASE post it here so Kitty can send you a thank you card (and it'll help me make sure you get an inventory icon).

Thanks!

Fio slipped a little present for Kitty into her bag when they were in the tent getting ready. It was tiny, and it was lingerie ... you know what her collection is like; she purchased something along those lines for Kitty. Will PM you a description. ;)

There is another gift coming for Tass and Mia. I'll deliver that in an IC post.

A medium-sized box had been left on the gift table, prettily wrapped in silver paper with a fluffy, curly bow. Attached to it was a plain white card in an envelope.

Dear Kitty and Tass,

Congratulations! We're so happy for you both! Wishing you all sorts of good things on your long life together.

We hope this is something you can use - even if you don't have to use it cause of your magicky stuff - but why waste magic on the easy stuff, right?

I tested the ding to make sure it was nice and not annoying, and Mason told me to make sure that the slots were big enough for bagels, so they are, and he wanted me to mention that there's a really great bagel place over on Highmark Street just a couple blocks off the Marketplace.

Right, so if you hate this gift, it was Mason's idea.

Love,
Eva and Mason

The unwrapped box held a toaster, stainless steel, four slots. No gift receipt.

Serena Gardiner

Along with her escorting services (which were free for Rix due to the fact that he had an invitation to the hottest ticket in town that Friday night) comes complimentary notice to etiquette. Therefore, she made sure that there was a gift from the pair of them on the table.

Someone with far more patience than Serena had painstakingly wrapped the present in a pale blue wrapping paper. The card that accompanies it is short and to the point: "Best of wishes, Rix and Serena". Within the well secured box is a find from one of her travels -- an ornate pair of dragons in full flight hand carved out of driftwood.

The Good Doctor left a large (2' tall by 1' by 1') silver holographic paper wrapped box on the gift table, which contains the gifts from both her and Antonio.

Inside the box is a Venetian blown glass sculpture of a dragon and panther, treated to never break by Magic, and an envelope, with a note inside inviting the happy couple on a moonlight cruise on one of Antonio's ships, an open ended invitation.

Wrapped in sapphire silk and tied with gold ribbons upon the gift table was a delicately wrought basket. The card read:

Dearest Kitty & Tass,

Mayest thy love be a beacon of light for thee and all who hold thee dear. We wish thee many lifetimes of happiness.

With Deep Affection,
~Eless & Connar

The basket contained a fragrance decanter hand crafted in elven laen with two tails entwined and spiraling along the outside: one a cat, the other a dragon. Within was a custom scented for them to both wear and share that contained the following accords: Tabacco flower, bergamot, Giandujai chocolate, bitter orange, golden amber, incense, leather essence. Matching soaps carved into the shapes of dragons and cats, along with bath oil and salts that shared the same softly sensual, spicy and enigmatic fragrance were also to be found inside.

Wrapped in bale blue paper was a large box that the wind mage had sent via her mystic winds then it had be place dupon the table bya friend. One V Winters.

On said box was a lovely card. The finest elven parchment,of off white with a green vine outlining the front of the card. Which ahd written on it Congratulations. An a very ncie hand drawn picture of a wedding cake.

Inside in Shea's hand was written.

"Dearest Kitty and Tass,
It has been a very long time since I was able to see either one of you. And I hope this day of your wedding finds you both well.

But my deaest Kitty you were one of the first people in all of Rhydin to befriend me and mine. So i do thank you for that.

I do hope your wedding went off with out a hitch, and I wish I could have been there to see it. I am sure you were lovely and will ehar much about it the next I come to the city. Please also know that your always welcome in Edhel Ndor. As my friend.Inside this box you will find things I hope both of you will like.

May you both have great happiness. My love to you all.

Shea. "

The card was also singed by Victor,Jade and Drakmere but that was all Shea's doing.

Inside the wrapped box They would find a few small gifts. All in their own boxes. The First box was green and had alarge K on the front. Inside that that box was somehting very sexy for Kitty. It was a soft green tone, for Shea always fond that Kitty looked very nice in green. It was some form of night wear, very elven in style, but also very sexy and lacy.

The next box was a deep blue, with T on the front. Shea did not know Tass very well,so after asking around among her male friends she conculded upon something simple.

So inside said box was ahnd crafted elven knife, it was very well balanced, the balde was about three insices long the handel about the same, the handel was wodden with deep elven cravings and etchings upon it,the balde itself was made of mithral, and had a mer to it.The blade would never break or bend,Shea had seen to that magic herself.

Attached to it was a small note. " I dont know know you well enough Lord Tass to buy you a gift you might really enjoy. I never know even what to buy my own husband, buying men gifts is very hard. But in Rhydin and in many other realms a man can never have enough knives or other weapons. The knife seen here is protected with my very own brand of elven magic. The Blade will never bend nor break. It also makes a nice piece to have about, even if one never uses it."

There was one more box. A smaller pink box. Shea knew there was a little one about. Someone who would like the gift within. Inside the pink box were three different things. A small handcrafted necklace made with the best care. A lovely elven style dress, which Shea hoped would fit. And lastly A very cuddly looking teddy bear with dark blue fur. Attached to it was a small note. "For the wee one."

Alain DeMuer

Date: 2009-03-08 14:18 EST
Alain quietly slipped a present onto the table. It was wrapped in simple navy blue paper with a thick red ribbon, and contained a small, rectangular wooden crate with that strong cedar smell. Carved into it were the words,

Thorre Distillery - County Slaudern, Princely State of Hallsten

It was a bottle of something similar in most ways to drambuie, called hallvin, and the date on the bottle was 1984 C.A. Enclosed also in the box was a simple note -

"Kitty, Tass,
Congratulations on your marriage. I hope you enjoy this little gift - a token from my travels abroad. Goes great with steak.
-Alain"

It was penned in what Kitty might recognize as the detective's own handwriting.

Taking ill the night of the wedding had resulted in a rather sizable degree of mortification for Skid.

Regardless! After so much planning in giving them a gift that truly meant something to him, and to be from him, he couldn't keep himself from sucking it up, being a man... And asking Chryrie to go with him to deliver it.

The delivery crate itself was nearly five feet tall, half as deep and just as wide. Within it was a nearly form-fitting (to the inside of the crate) music box, which played in the sound of a piano.

The music box was fashioned almost completely of onyx, from the player portion with its feeder box and the strange clockwork all across it to the small columns holding the display portion up. That part at least, was cased in glass. A prowling Panther and a mighty Dragon, enchanted into the life of that small forested world inside the case, went about as if it really were the only place in all the multiverse. Each night they would return to the Dragon's lair to lie side by side, and each day go about and do what they would in the forest, or out by their small lake, perhaps picking off one of the small creatures there to bring back. Though, being what they were as solid statues enchanted into seeming and behaving alive, it was merely a symbolic hunt.

The sides were inlaid with carvings lined with blessings of longevity and fortune in a language that very few were privileged to understand, let alone know of.

With the music box itself came somewhere around ten rolls to be fitted into the player for the actual listening; selections that Skid had and shared with them as pieces he himself listened to rather often. Works by composers from a range of different times and places, though the most frequent of them was the nineteenth-century Earth composer Fr?d?ric Chopin.

Attached was a note.

Kitty and Tass,

You must have some vague idea of how horrid I feel for missing your wedding, but I hope that this at least finds you at the right time. Things like this always make me feel right, I don't know how else to put it, and I hope it can and will do the same for you.

Unbridled affection,
Skid

It would be delivered the day after, to the Library in all its security.

Kairee

Date: 2009-03-17 21:21 EST
(Kai had sent this prior to the wedding)

The gifts arrived magically, of course.

One box wrapped in silvery white silk tied with ribbon of cloth of gold.

Addressed to both Tasslehofl and Kitty, Kairee sent a parchment. In her elegant hand, Kairee wrote:

?Dear Tasslehofl and Kitty,

Love is an overused word embraced by those who have no sense of its true meaning and power. All too often, it is ascribed to mere infatuations and lusts or it is used for manipulations. ?Love? is bandied about by the multitude with ease. With equal alacrity, ?Love? is abandoned only to be conjured up again when next their loins stir.

But those of us that have known Love in its truest form know It is neither easily found or easily forgotten. Once found, It fills our soul, binds us in ways beyond mystical understanding and if that Love is ever lost, we are left with a aching hole in the core of our being, forever causing a yearning ache for that which no longer fills our soul.

What is past is past and cannot be changed, however, I seek to give you a gift that will comfort you should you ever be parted.

You each should choose one of the amulets enclosed. Grasp it firmly in your hand and press it to your heart as you allow yourself to feel all that you feel for the other. (I highly recommend that you be gazing into each other?s eyes and be in a place free of other distractions.)

The power of your affections and the depth of your emotions will imprint in the gem.

Exchange the amulets and whenever you need to be reminded of how deeply you are loved, grasp it and think of the other. You will feel the other and what they felt at this moment, even those emotions so deep and personal, they cannot be expressed.

It is my hope that you never need to turn to the amulets to ease an aching heart but I do hope you will always know the love you feel today.

-Kairee?

The giftbox is polished tiger maple and inside, resting in velvet are two gold amulets set with Tasslehofl?s and Kitty?s favorite gemstone. They are elegant in their simplicity and can be worn as a clasp or brooch if the chain is removed.
