Chryrie

CKalb looked at her a moment. "Hun, I have a question..."

"Yes darlin?"Chryrie finally let the cup stop glowing from the scrying she had been doing in it and looked up at him as she took a sip.

CKalb smiled at her a moment. "I know our relation has been anything but traditional, but we never really talked about marriage. Do you want to get married considering our pasts?" His words were heart felt and strong born on love and understanding but fear of hurting the woman was plainly felt.

Marriage? Not a conversation she was quite prepared for so early in the day. She set her cup down as she looked at him. "I.. thought you didn't want to. So I haven't thought about it much."

He picked her up easily and jumped on her vacated bar stool pulling her into his lap. "Hun.. I love you. What I want is for us to be happy. And for that I would like to know if you want to get married. For me my biggest fear is that I lose you like I did everyone else. But it is just that fear. Something I hold no substance on."

Ah.. the fear of her death. Something few people ever worried about. After all, she had died before, only to find her way back. Not even the gates of Hell could keep her from those she loved. "If you ask, I would willingly say yes. But it's not a requirement for my happiness." She smiled as she circled her arms about his neck. "And you cannot lose me. If this place hasn't killed me permanently by now, it's not likely to."

He gave her a quick kiss before continuing. "I don't intend to lose ya, and if someone tries to take you from me they will pay with more then their life. I will extract their very soul and destroy that." He smiled at her. "But I guess to me we have been married for a while now. I have already pledged my life to you as you have to me. I just want to make sure that you are happy with that my love. As in a heart beat I would stand in front of everyone in Rydin to pledge my love. As I did with the Oracle valentine. You are part of my world Chryrie Nightstar. Something I wish never to lose."

"I guess I felt the same way.. feeling already married. As you well know, I've had my fair share of official ceremonies. Not something I need to go through again." She leaned her head on his shoulder, smiling at mention of the valentine. Ah, the valentine in the Oracle. He didn't know she had clipped it out and stashed it away to treasure forever. "As you are to me, my love."

Although a thought crossed her mind. Legalities were never a priority with her when it came to her marriages. But the spiritual part.. was more complicated. Her goddess could be finicky at times. "Chislev might get annoyed we haven't done something more.. ah.. whatever it is she prefers. But that doesn't need spectators."

He leaned closer into her holding her in his embrace. "Then we shall have something for Chislev. For I do wish to call you my wife, As I feel you are." He kissed her again quite happy.

While they're involved in that kiss, a white mist forms above them. and two silver rings drop onto the bartop with a soft chink of metal on wood. The large drow's eyes opened up from the kiss and he reluctantly broke away. "Umm I think she approves?" He raised an eyebrow. It was obviously not of his doing.

At his comment after the sound on the bar, she also glanced over at the rings with a raised eyebrow Something drew her eyes up to the white mist. Ah-ha. Apparently the goddess had been watching her after all. She nudged him and pointed to it.. as the face of the woman who haunted her dreams and has invaded his a time or two appeared there, smiling and then fading out.

He smiled at the face of the goddess and the mist, then back to Chryrie as the mist faded. "Hmmm And here I didn't think she was that fond of me. "

"If she wasn't fond of you, you'd be wishing you were dead, if not already there." She chuckled slightly.

He smiled and picked up the smaller of the rings. "With this ring I bind myself to you Chryrie Nightstar." Said as he placed it on her finger.

Chryrie smiled as the ring was placed on her finger, then she took the larger one, sliding it onto his finger. "And with this ring, I bind myself to you, Ckalb DragonShadow.."

He smiled and kissed her deeply letting himself love her with everything he was for just that moment.

World? What world? She was lost to it for the moment.
